This is like a bad Dr Suess. These are hairs left outside, these are hairs on waterslide, these are hairs I left in cars, These are hairs...

SS: This hair was in direct sunlight for 202 days in a vehicle. This started in august and continued for 7 months.
JA: Was there decomposition on these hairs?
SS: No. None at all.
Other hair shown to SS. No decompositional changes after 7 months. This vehicle was in a direct-sunlight area for 7 months.

SS: Other hair shown, was in direct sunlight. Some change, slight darkening, lower half are additional hairs. Outdoors what happened a lot was root was missing from hair. That's what appears happened in this hair. Root is missing.
JA: Was some of that in 259 hairs? Roots missing?
SS: Yes.
SS: Other hair in wooded area for 14 days and there is some decomp at root area but no postmortem banding.

#baez Just had a wry grin on his face, looked at #CaseyAnthony and shook his head.

Why is he grinning? He's being destroyed!

I feel like we are watching two (2) dos SA CIC's So far I have seen no defense in this case.

I'd be curious as to how he got a Law Degree! :loser:

haven’t heard much about the law school part but the story of how long it took him to get in the bar is quite telling

As a juror, I wouldn't care so much about the hair. Caylee was wrapped and the trunk cleaned out. I would be a lot more concerned about all the people who said the trunk smelled like a dead body! :(

Yep, and on that point I think the jury is convinced.

NOTE FOR DT : Jb please learn to leave well enough alone. Do not recall the states witnesses they testify so fluidly for JA, we hear what they are saying and it becomes interesting but it does not help your client whatsoever..

If they made a mistake once, maybe the hair in question was a mistake.
There is more than one way the band can get there, so maybe THIS hair is one of those. Trying for reasonable doubt.

But shouldn't that have been done in JB's original cross-examination?

Not exactly sure where to ask this question, so pardon me if it should go someplace else. It appears that JB is somewhat "stalling" or not really going anywhere with his line of defense.....can HHJP talk to him about where he is actually going with it or basically tell him to get to the point....or.....can this trial just continue to go?????

I would assume that HHJP can say something to him as he is very concerned about not "wasting" the juries time and basically would rather cut to the chase.

Does anyone know????

 I'm not law savvy, can someone here explain to me why JB is bringing this witness back to restate what we already know from the SA's case?
It has added no value whatsoever to the DT, so why?

This is one of JB's biggest mistakes. Witness is getting more credible by the second as he goes thru his PP slides.

  • #395
JA is really doing a bang up job of making this stuff understandable to a lay person.

Thanks, JA! I now understand the difference between root decomp and hair banding. :)

I apree.

He keeps "splitting hairs" (pun intended).

I am nervous about this. Was there method to the madness of opening this door?

IMO, he grins because the media is watching and he doesn't want the headlines to read: JOSE BAEZ LOOKING SCARED SH--LESS!

Not usually/minimally“@NicoleAPries: @bobkealing Does the jury ever smile back at Baez or react to any of the witnesses or prosecution?”

  • #399
Okay what I am getting from all this is that all these environmental factors some darkening can happen to hair but if you are a professional you can identify the ‘death band’ on a hair as something different and unique

Aw, you know he isn't going to pay any attention to common sense!
