This would be why Dede's wanted picture with the truck.

Terri & Kyron could have picked Dede up at work (?) or Dede could have driven to meet them at school...

Dede stays in Terri's van & waits for cue. Dede drives up path on cue.

Terri in school with Kyron.

Says goodbye to Kyron (tells Kyron to meet Dede out the gravel driveway door and they'll go somewhere cool). Dede leaves school another way - so as not to be seen with Kyron and meets Dede & Kyron outside of school at some point? Either in Dede's car, or a third party car, or just hop in the White Truck with Dede & Kyron in it.

But, for the life of me, I don't know why they'd want to make it so complicated.

I think it could be as as simple as DeDe/the mystery person waiting in the truck by the side of the main road realizes he or she can drive up the gravel road to meet Terri and Kyron in a more secluded place, not seen from the main road so easily. Maybe they parked on the side of the main road initially because they were afraid to get parked in if they were up the gravel road, so when they saw that wouldn't happen they moved the truck.

Wait... did they find any prints in the truck? I would think if they found DeDe's, Kaine's, Terri's, Kyron's and that was it....it'd be a pretty safe bet that DeDe was with Terri that day.

I wonder if they found any non family prints and if they did, if they have been able to ID them? That could have caused them to change the lens from a short one to a long one.......

LE may have found fingerprints in the truck that don't belong to anyone in the Horman family, but unless the person who left those fingerprints committed a felony crime, their fingerprints wouldn't be in a database that LE could check them against.

Having given this a bit of thought I think it has to do with a person and a car seen in the vicinity of the white truck at Skyline School that they think was Terri's accomplice. The Oregonian article also said they send requests for vehicle make, license, etc. to all Skyline parents. I think they have a description of a vehicle and they are trying to eliminate all know vehicles.

(A don't believe that the comment by O'Donnell means that they believe someone other than TH is the perp.)

That was my impression too. They asked for people who were parked there on June 4th to call their tip line with make, model, license plate number, and color of their vehicle.

I think it's possible that other parents might have said something like "the Horman truck was parked next to a blue vehicle", and LE may have tried to match that blue vehicle to belonging to a parent, teacher, or school staff member. If they interviewed those at the school on June 4th and couldn't find anyone who owned that blue car, that would really stand out. Who owned that blue car and if it doesn't belong to a parent, teacher or staff member, what was it doing here?

What really stood out to me is asking for the color of the car. I think that was unusual.

Does it mean they are focusing in on someone else, taking a better look at something, looking thru a rose colored lens, or looking in a completely different direction......Terri was the main focus at first, so maybe they are thinking there are other reasons for what has happened. I know I have my suspicions about a few things.

I don't think they're focusing on anyone else. Today's presser was all about the Horman's white pick-up truck, and a flyer with pictures of that truck along with pictures of TH and DD. So the direction of LE remains the same. But, the comment about looking at this with a different lens, may pertain to looking at a different aspect of the case.

"Multnomah County Chief Deputy District Attorney Rod Underhill said a witness, or witnesses, have reported seeing someone else by the Hormans' extended-cab pickup while it was parked in front of the school between 8:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. on June 4, the day Kyron disappeared.

Authorities are seeking to identify the person, or persons, who may have been spotted by the truck as it was parked outside the school's front fence in the shoulder of Northwest Skyline Boulevard. Someone possibly moved the pickup and parked it up a gravel path in front of the school's playground while Terri Moulton Horman was inside the school with her stepson for his science fair."

I haven't been aware of this detail until now, and do not recall hearing this during the presser. Perhaps this, too, may explain LE beginning to view things through a different lens, now that at least one witness has come forward with this information. I'm aware that LE has been looking for a possible accomplice for some time, and this seems to (hopefully) cement things rather solidly, at least in terms of some actual (or possible, unsubstantiated?) sightings. I understand that LE is calling for more witnesses to verify this information, and deeply hope that something will come of this!

Not clear on that. It's late here, but there IS a source & it's on the threads - from this AM even.

I THINK, IIRC, that 2 workers were clarified as not being able to find her at 9. They couldn't reach her by phone, didn't know where she was. And again around 11, and then Terri showed up after noon at at that 1-ish time. Not sure if they first saw Dede at work early in the morning or she was just scheduled to be there.

Oh wow. It changed again? First the reliable source said 11:15. Or 11:30. Then the reliable source said 10:00. Or 9:45. And now the reliable source has changed it again to 9:00?

Anybody have a link to this new change in time from 10:00 - ummm 9:45 - to 9:00? I haven't seen the 9:00 time change article yet.

The DA ultimately confirmed that "a witness or witnesses" saw the truck at the pictured locations. I accidentally closed the link to the vid before I could post, but I thinks it's at about 13:50. The DA comes back and changes his mind about confirming this.

A witness or witnesses have come forward and provided us with information about a person or persons associated with that pickup truck at approximately those locations. We're looking for additional witnesses."

Regarding the "different lens". The LEO was not talking about the entire investigation really. He was talking only and specifically about LE's request regarding the southside parking lot.

We'd like them to call the tip line.

i think maybe they are attempting to verify if it was the horman truck in both places and not actually two different white trucks. and also imo the fact that dds's picture on the new flyer/poster along with th and pics of the white truck is the new aspect or "lens" that they are talking about. th & dds look so similar to me, from the point of view of not knowing either of these people i could easily confuse them for each other.... i think that if they can place dds at any of the times they are asking about - thats prolly all its gonna take to finish this up, that and actually finding kyron. the thing that bugs me the most about dds is that "cat that swallowed the canary" smile she had when leaving the gj... wth is that about?

They didn't mention Dede at the presser. I think they're keeping an open mind and looking for positive identification of whatever person or persons may be involved with, or have knowledge of, Kyron's disappearance.

I really hope they're not trying to pound square pegs in round holes. Kyron deserves better than that. Kyron deserves for people to know what really happened to him, and who really did it. All victims deserve that. To do otherwise, disrespects victims, and they don't get the justice they deserve.

I'm really wondering if, at this point, they are as sure as they were that Terri was involved. I'm wondering if the different lens is, "Holy crap, she might be innocent. Who else could've done this?"

My thought is that information has come to light about DDS that they didn't know earlier in the investigation and it has caused them to rethink and look in a slightly different (but highly focused) direction.

To actually include DDS's picture in the new flyer indicates to me that they know enough about her to feel she's a person of interest (I know, not publicly named as such...but both she and Terri are obviously persons of interest to them). I don't think they would include her in that flyer without good reason to suspect she had some involvement.

Unfortunately, I don't see it in the least that they now think Terri is uninvolved. I very much wish she weren't, but I believe they are even more certain now than initially that she is and that her BFF is deeply involved as well. JMO.

If they found prints, they may not be able to identify them if the person does not have prints in the system. My prints are in the WA state system because I volunteered at a school. However, good pt about diff prints being found, that would tell them someone else was there.

Question: do state fingerprint records tie in nationally?

I was wondering about a 2nd truck. That may account for the witness that saw a truck on his road 3pm on 4th, and 2am on the 5th of June. Maybe a red herring, but his residence according to google maps is fairly remote. Also there is the witness "Chas" that reportedly saw a white truck driven by a red-haired woman pull out onto Hwy 30 north of Logie. This is beginning to sound like "The Orient Express", too many clues that may or may not relate.

I agree. If Terri was in the school, and the truck moved, it was most likely moved by someone she knew well enough to trust them with the keys to Kaine's truck. The chances of a stranger getting hold of the truck keys is extremely low, and that coincidence would not be very believable.
