I haven’t seen or heard the news today on this case and wanted to ask: have any official media outlets reported if the girls sounded scared or if they were just chatting as they strolled along? Pls don’t send links to social media content creators - I won’t bother with them. Asking about actual media reporting if it’s avail? Thanks all.
According to a reporter in the courtroom, Abby sounded “timid” when she said hi to BG.

In the video, the girls are walking along the bridge and Libby says, “See, this is the path. Um, there’s no path there so we have to go down there.”

Twelve seconds later, “bridge guy” says, “Guys.”

Abby can be heard saying “Hi” very timidly.

Then came the line: Bridge guy says, “Down the hill.”

The video then is sort of thrown around and cuts off.

ETA: It appears that this article was updated, and that line removed. Reporters have been comparing notes, so perhaps this outlet decided to cut that when other reporters disagreed.

The same amount of wiggle room could apply to the time as well. Voorhies said in testimony she saw BG at 2:15, but the PCA is evidently using the timestamps of photographs the group took, one of which was bench east of Freedom Bridge at 1:26 pm. In her testimony, Voorhies notes she's marking time in relation to when she had to be at a friend's house and when she had to be home. That's arguably not as precise as the timestamp of an image the group took at the bench east of Freedom Bridge.

It's actually a good thing, jmo, that there's not that amount of precision on the times given by these witnesses. These people didn't know other human beings were going to be murdered on the trails that day. They weren't checking their watches.

I'd be more concerned if they came back years later and attempted to change their timelines by hours, as is the case with RA.
Yes, the 2nd of the park visitor witnesses had actually been with Voorhies, and supplied time-stamped photos that placed their encounter at around 1:30 pm. Plus, after she and Voorhies had seen the man they later thought was BG, she received a message from Libby herself, who was arriving at the park.

This is detailed in Hidden True Crime's recent upload about the evidence, at about 1 hr point. Also Gray Hughes' case overview has all the timings based on sightings and video evidence, all worked out from the probable cause submitted for the RA search warrant.

No doubt, the witness slipped. However, IMO her testimony was kept in because she said hi to the man and he didn't respond.

So the beginning of the bridge in this case is considered to be the north side?

Let's put it this way, the beginning of the bridge is where you enter on to the bridge. The end of the bridge is the opposite side, the "Down the Hill" side. The girls' were kidnapped on the "Down the Hill" side of the creek.

Since they say the girls' were found 0.2 miles Northeast of the bridge then it is safe to say they would have been kidnapped from the Southeast side of the bridge like the other posted stated.

Thanks for the link - I was confused though as I never heard that Abby said hello to the man… the article does not say this. It says that RV (witness) said hello to the man. Nothing about timid that I could find either? It may be because I can’t word search from my cell phone - but I scanned this twice and just didn’t find this info. Thanks for trying though!

ETA: I see that you’ve noted the line in question was removed. Thanks.

It’s been a long week already but I am a little confused here.
My understanding is the girls were approached by RA on the south side of MHB and forced the girls down the hill on the south east side then across the creek and to the north side of Deer Creek onto RL’s property just south of the cemetery.

I just want to make sure I’m understanding you correctly. You think RA approached the girls on the north side of the bridge? Where they entered.
Maybe I need more coffee or rest.
I also get that BG cornered them at the end of the bridge on the south side of MHB and forced them down on the south east side. Interrupted per P, BG forced them across the creek to the north side. Someone posting had asked if the voice on Libby's video is someone that was waiting down on the road (at the south end where they originally were approached). I would think LE could make a good estimation of whether the voice on that video is someone very close by or someone that distance away. I do not think LE has hatched a plot to prosecute RA for no reason or necessarily erroneously, so I'd have no reason to believe LE couldn't ascertain that. I suppose another perp could have theoretically been at or near the private drive that (I believe/correct me if I'm wrong) is on that side. But I would also think that if more than one person had been involved in the murders, they would never have taken the girls down that side to begin with, BG himself shows how ill-fated that decision proved to be for him. If more than one murderer were involved, they probably could have planned so they could have avoided the trek over the creek altogether. Pure speculation, but that's MOO. He was in his own little fantasy and his own sick little world and it has arguably finally caught up with him, jmo.

Waiting to see exactly how RA has incriminated himself.

Yes and this is where BB saw RA standing on the 1st platform and appeared to be waiting on someone and disappointed when she was not there as he was waiting for.
I also think it’s interesting she did 3 laps on the trails spanning a significant period of time and only saw him once. Does not match RA’s adapted timeline of being there from 12-1:30 or 2:15.

Sounds good.

How far is this road on the south end from the bridge? 100 yards?

Are you talking about the private drive road?

This is the view from the top of the end of the bridge looking "Down the Hill."

So this is a view from the south end of the bridge and it's not a public road but a private drive? Is it gated?

Same side as the cemetery if that helps.

BB saw *someone* standing on the platform. She did not identify that person to be RA. Even though the state could easily have asked her to do so.

People have said that is a private road. To the right leads to someone's property. To the left it goes under the bridge. To the left might lead to the Weber property that has been talked about but I would need to check on that.

She doesn't need to. The timeline proves the man Betsy saw is Richard Allen. The timeline is too tight to be anyone else.

Probably because she can't identify this person to be RA. JMO.

Does anyone have a map to help Ranch out?

TY
I don't necessarily need a map. Just asking a few questions about distances and directions. It's all good.

Too true.

LE has the timestamps from the photos the group of three girls took and the timestamp of L&A's snapchats and their final video.

That e-timeline will be easily confirmed IMO.
