To me it doesn't matter if RA said the color of the van. The point is he said a "van" drove by and interrupted him trying to sexually assault Abby and Libby. "BG" forced the girls' at gunpoint off of the bridge and down the hill at 2:14 p.m.

Abby's jeans was off at one point and there was dirt found on her back. Also, her jeans and panties were inside out and found in the creek. Some of Libby's clothing was found in the creek. Libby's sweatshirt had a water ring around the bottom of it and her jeans were damp/wet and found on Abby. Libby wad found completely nude.

This corroborates RA's confession that he tried to sexually assault Abby and Libby.
BW would have been driving by around 2:30 ish.

Their articles of clothing were found in the water near both sides of the creek.

RA said he walked the girls across the creek.

There is an incline on the side of the creek they were found on.

Libby's phone recorded a 2 floor elevation at 2:32 p.m.

He then said he skit their throats. He said he was selfish. He wasn't going to let them live to tell on him. Imo.

His whole confession is corroborated by digital evidence. He is guilty and I hope he never gets out of prison.

Edited: To add more text.
Next thing, there will be cries that he can't be Bridge Guy because it's actually a trestle.

Whatever the case, he admits he "did something with his gun" on the bridge and then a cartridge is found at the location of the murder. Whether it is the same cartridge or a second one, the sequence links to him.

It's okay to draw logical conclusions when nothing refutes them and when there are many other pieces that also point to him. You don't need runes to explain a duck is a duck.

So RA says, on the bridge, his gun was out of his pocket, because he was doing something with it. Sounds like a confirmation of Libby's video's audio sound of a gun's bullet being chambered as well as the gun being visable to the girls and them commenting on it. Yet two more things confirmed by RA himself.

Can someone provide a summary? tia

Nutshell: AB legal attempts to have all court records made public (including video, audio, stenographic recording).
And, Judge Gull has made various mistakes regarding public access.

Trestle Guy?
BTW, I had to edit somethings in that post. I accidentally posted it before I was finished with it. I also corrected something - the 2 floor elevation was at 2:31, not 2:32 p.m.
2:32 p.m. is when Libby's phone ceased movement.

Maybe they thought the time they were posted was the time they were taken? If they were being posted as being taken somewhere recent?
Here is AB's video where she talks about the photos.

RA's conversation to his Mom on April 2nd was where he said he said he had accepted the Lord as his savior and that he was grateful that his family would love him no matter what. RA's mother said she'd been going to church which made RA happy. The family had not been church going while growing up and this news seemed to make RA happy. KA had sent him a Bible.

TMS said this call at times was very casual in their opinion, talking about weather, etc. Very much a mother/son catching up type of call.

April 3rd call from RA to KA - RA says I want to apologize to you, I did it, you know I did it, I killed Abby and Libby. KA responds - No you didn't, why would you say that. They've messed up your meds. RA says no I did it. KA says they need to talk to Brad. (Rozzi)

RA says he wants to apologize to the families. KA starts crying and told him not to talk anymore. The call ends abruptly.

From recap of testimony, the confession did not indicate the color of van. During trial testimony, LE and BW described the van as being white in color. The white color of BW’s van he claimed to have driven during the time of girls abduction has since been included in media and social media statements, somewhat misleading as the verbiage relayed by the Dr Wala on confession of RA does not include a descriptive color of van.
And what does that change? RA said he was interrupted by a van driving by after having ordered the girls down the hill. BW drove his van down his driveway/road at that same point in time. What is unsure about those facts?

I'm interested to see what the defence presents. The two witnesses yesterday, I'm not 100% sure why they were relevant unless just to inform that LE took their time to follow up on things.

I think everyone has been so convinced throughout the 5 years without any arrests that it was going to be a hugely complicated case, with lots of branches (I'm guessing the Anthony Shots account added to this and which is why the initial PCA was sealed as they wanted to check that RA didn't have any links with anyone else), that now it has come out that it's very likely a circumstantial case due to a misfiled tip, it has disappointed a lot of people.

Even the evidence against RA, when you line it up, seems quite compelling, plus the confessions, especially mentioning the van and filling in the blanks about the crime. But there is no bombshell. There likely won't be a bombshell, it'll just be a case of a huge LE error that, if it hadn't occurred, could have resulted in a simple arrest and trial.
Now, because it's been so long, it seems almost meh that it could be something as basic as that and there will be no AH HA got you moment like in CSI.

All my opinion and I don't mean any disrespect to the victims when I say meh or disappointing.

There was this other problem with records not being made public. That resulted in the order to unseal over 100 docs last year.

Good morning, everyone! :)

@KaitlynReports

Let’s not forget why we are all here. It’s these beautiful young girls whose lives were taken far too soon. They have somehow through such tragedy brought this community closer.

@BobSegallWTHR

Jurors have arrived.
The judge has arrived.
The defendant and his lawyers are here.
So are the victims’ families.
The courtroom is almost full.
Day 13 of testimony in the #Delphi murders case begins in about 30 minutes.

And BW drove his 'van" down that driveway, confirmed at that time, when RA said he was there after Libby's video confirms that time. All that should get disregarded because RA said he was interrupted by a van, instead of "white van"? Is that a logical or reasonable way to think about that evidence? I'm sincerly asking because it's dumbfounding to me.
Just trying to be accurate. Don’t assume bad faith.

Wala's report was dated August 2023.
Detective Harshman didn't read it until a year later in late 2024.

I think the "van" is a bombshell.

Detective Harshman looked for it in all of the discovery and didn't find it, he then followed up with Weber who confirmed that he was driving a van around 2:30 p.m. on that private drive.

Only the kidnapper/killer would know that.

Edited: To make a correction.

13 Things To Know From The #Delphi Murders Trial Today - Oct 31

1. This afternoon the State rested its case against Richard Allen, but not before presenting its most powerful evidence. The jury got to hear more confessions — this time, in Allen’s own words and own voice.

2. To say these recorded confessions were damaging to Allen’s defense would be a gross understatement. Hearing a man saying over & over again that he killed two girls — making the incriminating statements to his wife & mother — is something the jury cannot un-hear.

3. Let me first show you some of the confessions so you understand the words Allen spoke, then we’ll discuss the tone & context — which are both very important. These images represent portions of 4 calls as I tried to create transcripts in real time as they played for jurors.

4. Jailhouse call #1 was 4-3-23 between Allen & his wife, Kathy.Call #2 was 5-10-23 to Kathy.Call #3 was later that same day, also to his wife.Call #4 was from Allen to his mom, Janis. All were from the Westville prison. Allen & his family knew the calls were recorded.

5. They were presented during testimony from Brian Harshman, the ISP “phone guy” who’s monitored all 700 calls Allen made while in prison. Harshman described Allen’s demeanor during the calls as “calm, subdued, solemn.” After hearing the calls, I agree with that characterization.

1730466502741.png

6. While Allen was emotional in some of the 7 calls the jury heard today, he was mostly calm & matter-of-fact as he repeats multiple times “I did it.” When his mom insisted he couldn’t do something like that, he calmly responded “Mom, why would I tell you I did it if I didn’t?”

7. Kathy Allen cried in court as the phone recordings played for the jury. Janis Allen was not in court today; Richard’s mother has been recovering from a bad fall she suffered on her way to the courthouse Saturday morning. RA showed no real emotion as we heard the recordings.

8. Before the jury heard the calls, his attorneys accused the prosecutor of cherry picking calls that fail to give the jury the “whole picture.” Example: the State wanted to play 2 calls from 4-3-23 w confessions but hide a 3rd call from that day in which RA proclaimed innocence.

9. Citing the completeness doctrine, the defense asked Gull to make the State play all 3 jailhouse calls for the jury. She denied that, ruling that playing each call in its entirety was sufficient. The defense snuck in info from the 3rd call anyway over the State’s objections.

10. Before Harshman left the witness stand, prosecutor Nick McLeland replayed the infamous “Down the Hill” video that Libby recorded on her phone before the murders & asked if he recognized the voice. Harshman looked at the defendant & said, it’s “the voice of Richard Allen.”

11. The prosecutor also asked Harshman if he’s ever seen Allen be violent. He said yes, citing a recent video of RA shouting at guards & threatening them at the Cass Co jail. The State tried to play that video for jurors but the judge wouldn’t allow it after the defense objected.

12. Harshman also said he took special note of Allen’s statement to a prison doctor that he saw a van just before killing Abby & Libby. Harshman says he researched who the van belongs to & its location on the day of the crime fits the timeline—a fact only the killer would know.

On days like this, I’m so grateful we have 13News legal analyst Katie Jackson-Lindsay to help explain all the legal maneuvering that took place in court. She provides amazing insights in tonight’s 13News #Delphi Debrief.
Check it out: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IOouYbYFiR0

14. And finally, the defense called its first 2 witnesses today: Carroll Co resident Cheyenne Mill & Delphi resident Teresa Liebert (pictured), who both described seeing other men near the bridge/gravel road the day of the murders. Going to sleep now to get ready for Day 13.

Yes, I know that’s not 13 things. Math has never been my strong suit.

<BBM> I find these comments very interesting why would KA be meeting Rozzi at a gas station?:

May 10th Call RA to KA - How are you, good to hear your voice. KA supposed to be meeting Rozzi at a gas station to find something? RA says he thinks he's going crazy, KA replies 'we're all going crazy'. RA asks if he can trust Rozzi and Baldwin?? KA says yes they are your lawyers.

FTR I think the Bridge Guy video does look like Richard Allen. I’ve seen a lot of people say they don’t think it looks like him. The weird thing is none of the eyewitnesses accurately described Richard Allen as the man they saw on the trails.
