Day 18 in #Justice4Abby&Libby
Agree. Never heard of the van.Wala's report was dated August 2024.
I think the "van" is a bombshell.
Detective Harshman looked for it in all of the discovery and didn't find it, he then followed up with Weber who confirmed that he was driving a van around 2:30 p.m. on that private drive.
Only the kidnapper/killer would know that.
It’s been suggested up thread that since it was mentioned in discovery it could have been gleaned by RA from there - IIRCAgree. Never heard of the van.
My apologies, I took it to mean you were stating it as a rejection to the evidence.Just trying to be accurate. Don’t assume bad faith.
The white van is nothing new. Not even sure RA said “white.” Possibly only van. It was circulating on social media 6 years ago. Dr. Wala with all her social media accounts was most likely aware of the white van and could very well have shared it during her conversations with RA. The interesting part is that BW has now placed himself close to the location of the CS (at down the hill) during the exact time it was all happening. I think it finally dawned on him and that is why he got so angry at Rozzi. Back in 2017, he put himself arriving there at a later time. His story has changed. Likely why the D has served him. Additionally, it has been testified to by the ballistics expert that BW’s gun could not be ruled out as being a gun through which the bullet could have been cycled. Facts matter.Wala's report was dated August 2024.

Nope. Not at all.My apologies, I took it to mean you were stating it as a rejection to the evidence.
Or, he could've been there in person to see/hear the van. It’s been suggested up thread that since it was mentioned in discovery it could have been gleaned by RA from there - IIRC

If he's going through the discovery to find facts to make up a confession, why didn't he pick gruesome ones like a pool of blood, forcing the girls to undress, struggles with the victims, specifics about injuries? I think he didn't use those facts because he wanted to confess YET ALSO distance himself from horror (or maybe he was drunk and can't really remember much other than being startled by the van and making sure the girls were dead before leaving). The white van is nothing new. Same tactic as meeting in a grocery store parking lot to self-report your appearance at a crime scene IMO<BBM> I find these comments very interesting why would KA be meeting Rozzi at a gas station?:
May 10th Call RA to KA - How are you, good to hear your voice. KA supposed to be meeting Rozzi at a gas station to find something? RA says he thinks he's going crazy, KA replies 'we're all going crazy'. RA asks if he can trust Rozzi and Baldwin?? KA says yes they are your lawyers.

When did they submit the motions?Judge Gull still has not ruled on recent defense motions - which really hampers the defense, not yet knowing what they’re allowed to mention or present as evidence.

A few last week. When did they submit the motions?
I think the importance of the 2 defense witnesses was to introduce more people who were in and around the crime scene and their descriptions of who they saw. Every witness both prosecution and now defense have described people they saw differently. We've heard, old, younger, taller, heavier, athletic....lotsa descriptions in testimony now. Someone mentioned that there was no "boom" moment in the opening of the defense case, but I am one who thinks any "boom" if it exists would be at the end...before closing arguments...to leave the jury with the most important defense points. But it's all strategy and each attorney on both sides has their own strategy as far as how they manage the case.I'm interested to see what the defence presents. The two witnesses yesterday, I'm not 100% sure why they were relevant unless just to inform that LE took their time to follow up on things.
I think everyone has been so convinced throughout the 5 years without any arrests that it was going to be a hugely complicated case, with lots of branches (I'm guessing the Anthony Shots account added to this and which is why the initial PCA was sealed as they wanted to check that RA didn't have any links with anyone else), that now it has come out that it's very likely a circumstantial case due to a misfiled tip, it has disappointed a lot of people.
Even the evidence against RA, when you line it up, seems quite compelling, plus the confessions, especially mentioning the van and filling in the blanks about the crime. But there is no bombshell. There likely won't be a bombshell, it'll just be a case of a huge LE error that, if it hadn't occurred, could have resulted in a simple arrest and trial.
Now, because it's been so long, it seems almost meh that it could be something as basic as that and there will be no AH HA got you moment like in CSI.
All my opinion and I don't mean any disrespect to the victims when I say meh or disappointing.
Wow, seems like things are done a little differently in Indiana.Same tactic as meeting in a grocery store parking lot to self-report your appearance at a crime scene IMO
It’s going to be Keegan coming in hot.@Niner as always if/when I determine what the order is about I will let you know.
