I suspect that he was more likely wearing latex gloves, but even if not, as a veteran I can attest to the fact that we are quite capable of and able to fire weapons with gloves on. Wars don't just happen in temperate climates or seasonal conditions.

IMO.
Totally off topic, but thank you for your service.

….and keep the ability to confess to murders in chronological order I might add.

That may prove to be the #1 most important Q and A of the trial.

It furthermore proves Dr Wala’s testimony regarding the possibility RA was faking it left an impression on that juror. His “guess I won’t try that again” was not one of his best acts. JMO

Psychosis was diagnosed b a psychiatrist? I thought they did not have him evaluated.
Acting nutty is a time worn strategy to evade responsibility.
I agree but psychosis has varying degrees of crazy. A trained professional can see it. Also psychosis is a very broad diagnosis.

It can be temporary, a response to a traumatic event, it can come and go, it can be severe and progress into madness. Or it can be all of that.

MOO based on my ex's untreated mental illness until 3 years ago.
Typically, people who have a psychotic break think they do not need help. The delusions and bizarre feelings (physical and mental) are very real and painful to them.

I'm not a mental health professional but my ex was. It is very hard to get some into a psychiatric hospital unless they are a threat to themselves or others. MOO

What's the worst is there are periods of clarity.

I think they were going to use it to explain the sticks and the blood for Libby at the scene but I personally think they don’t need it. The psychosis is enough to defend against the confessions plus the testimony of people at the scene, lack of bullet testing results, and DNa will be enough. The lost testimony and general LE issues are evident. But we aren’t done yet for me to try and predict how a jury would respond.
I wonder why the Defense didn't just bother to ask for a directed verdict then - or even attept to - if the Prosecution's case sucked as badly as some are insisting it did.

IMO.

Delphi Murders Trial Day 14 Highlights So Far during the half-day session, videos taken on a camcorder of Richard Allen at the Westville Correctional Facility were played for the jury. The screen was turned away from the public "out of respect" for Mr. Allen, his attorneys said

Yet graphic crime scene photos of the victims were leaked to the public through Baldwin's ineptitude regarding them.

Actually, Dr Wala's superior who testified yesterday, with whom Dr Wala discussed R's behaviors and possible treatments, had a list of behavioral issues/signs of psychosis she talked about. In his phone calls, RA did not manifest those things, he was very calm (except for a mutual cry fest he and KA had on one call) and orderly in his thinking, not scattered or delusional at all. If anything it was the denials of his family members that seemed to be upsetting him the most. Their denials to except what he was telling them.

Also interestingly, Dr Wala discussed with that superior that RA was faking his symptoms. So more than just Dr Wala was aware of that going on.

"March 2024, Gull dismissed defense attorneys Andrew Baldwin and Bradley Rozzi after a former associate of Baldwin's office leaked crime scene photos. Gull called the pair's actions "grossly negligent and incompetent".
Yeah, I’m quite familiar with all that. Baldwin & Auger’s offices are here where I live & where all that went down. Not a great example of the people of this city by any means.

Imagine kicking out the FBI, the best equipped and most experienced law enforcement organization in the country, if not the world.

No, they wouldn’t have helped catch him faster, but they could have provided assistance after the fact, to include recommendations on how to interview Allen. Infuriating.

-Prosecutor McLeland then asks for a side bar
-When the returned, Carter said it was his decision for the FBI to leave and he made them return all the materials
-No questions from prosecution, Carter was on the stand in less than 10 minutes

Yes, and I can see how it could have looked like 'poofy' hair instead of a hat too.
But I can never see "beautiful".

I found that such an odd way to describe a male, any male, by witness BB. Especially when just describing a guy seen in passing for a fleeting moment. In fact, I thought she might be from another country, where that might be more of a cultural norm, or someone whose first language was something other than English, but her name sounds American enough, not that that means much.

Do you know what this timeline says to me? It says that RA was having horrible sense of regret and guilt. His guilty conscience was out of control and he couldn't ignore those feelings any longer.

The only thing bringing him relief was spiritual rebirth and then finally confessing his sins. IMO
and then taking it all back once he started feeling better! Like Galileo forced to recant when threatened with the instruments of torture by the Inquisition. Hm, makes you doubt his sincerity at that point.

Doug Carter answered questions for about 10 minutes-ish.

He clarified that dozens of police departments assisted in the investigation, feds helped, he gave the timeline in which the FBI helped, and that’s it. I don’t think we’re hearing from him again.
