And when Epstein died in prison, there was an outcry the cameras didn't work. But now we have a suicidal defendant and people are made there ARE cameras. I would think the cameras could prevent a death?When you threaten self harm you enter protocols to prevent it. Suicide smocks for instance. Also you have to be completely contained during transfers - the risk is greatest then.
They have to guard against things like him launching himself down stairs and (maybe even taking the CO with him.)
I'm concerned about some incarceration issues in this case, but if someone is suicidal, don't they need watching?
