Ummmm….NO!So a question for the masses does anybody who thought he was guilty now think he is innocent?

Far from ridiculous imo. A box cutter would do the job and that’s what RA admitted to using. I believe him. MooIf it was a carpet cutting blade or a long drywall blade, I wouldn't dispute that. A craft knife with little snap-off sections for safety goes a bit into not likely.
Defense didn't argue about the box cutter because they knew the idea was ridiculous. MOO
Respectfully,
If a couple of guys can divert planes full of people into the World Trade Center with box cutters, surely a guy can murder a couple of girls with them.
This is bordering on ridiculous IMO. The defense did not even argue that a box cutter could not have been used to commit the crime.
MOO
They seem to have worked on 911 --- so let's put that debate to bed quckly. IMO
I thought the Haldol injections were only once a month?
Didn't Carter testify that they were involved until 2021? If I understand correctly, that's four years they were helping to go down various rabbit holes with no resolution. So if LE bungled the investigation so badly, I have to wonder why Superintendent Carter asked the FBI to leave the investigation? Shouldn't he have wanted the FBI to stay on? At least the FBI is technically competent...
Thank you. That is helpful.
Invega is the most common one done monthly at the psych facility I work at.-Haloperidol is a first generation/typical antipsychotic.
-Haloperidol (Haldol) decanoate is a long acting intramuscular injection of haloperidol.
-It is not uncommon to also use oral or injectable haloperidol (Haldol) for agitation/aggression associated with psychiatric conditions on an as needed basis by itself or in addition to other medications. This is a standing order on most psychiatric units.
-Quetiapine (Seroquel) is a second generation/atypical antipsychotic. My suspicion is that is was being used as a low dose for insomnia to help RA sleep. It can be given at higher doses for maintenance therapy for a variety of psychological conditions. It is only available in an oral formulation.
-I feel confident stating from the reported testimony that the long-acting injections given for 3 months were haloperidol decanoate.
One of the videos posted upthread reported that Dr. Martin was very specific about medications given, doses, and dates in his testimony. I think it's unlikely we will get those specifics reported out until a transcript is available just given the large amount of data that would need to be written down in a short period of time for media. It appears that we're just getting a brief summary.
She testified that it was the approved technique based upon scientific studies.I'm not very happy about the testimony from the "gun expert". How on earth do you compare a fired round to an unspent round and say they match?
I’m sorry but you don’t just spontaneously go from thinking at least two knives were used to thinking a box cutter could have inflicted all of the wounds.
I don't think that testimony was all that strong, so if I were a juror, I don't think i'd give it too much weight. But I also think it doesn't matter too much. A .40 cal round was found, he owned a .40 cal. Combined with the other evidence, I don't need the technical analysis to say it was his gun that ejected the round. I think the prosecution could have left that out and still been fine.I'm not very happy about the testimony from the "gun expert". I lost 10 people that I knew there, one on one of the planes, and have been sick ever since thinking of how box cutters were allowed on planes back then, and ultimately brought down 220 stories of buildings.
Jmo but also facts.
I had no idea Arkay that the 9/11 attack hit home for you in a personal way. I’m very sorry. We will never forget.Thank you both.
I said this threads ago—-box cutters were all that were needed to slash the throats of four pilots and also co-pilots so the terrorists could fly the planes.

OK, you almost have me convinced. Maybe he was still sober enough to take the box cutter instead of getting one of his really nice knifes all bloody. It could happen. Here's a link to the kind I used at work. It isn't a craft knife and I highly doubt that RAs utility knife/box cutter (we call them utility knives here) was of the cheap, craft variety. It was intended for work purposes.
Can't cut skin? Nearly decapitate? OK. That just takes more cuts.

I think it would take a lot of pressure to nearly decapitate a person with a craft knife, blades would snap.
Not saying it could never be done but how likely is it?
Can you make the marks like the pathologist showed with your craft knife?
I think the evidence presented lacks a lot of BARD. I still feel that the jury will hang. I think he is guilty but the evidence is not solid. JMOI am so glad I am not on this Jury. Do I think RA is guilty…probably. Do I think this was proved BARD …not so much. I guess I am a “hung jury of one”. JMHO and I do so want justice for these two girls and their families.
Some of the wounds were 2 inches deep. I don’t see how a box cutter could make that kind of incision.
It’s also your friend if you want to see the kinds of injuries a boxcutter can inflict. Pretty gruesome.Google is your friend.
So sorry for your loss @ArkayThank you both.
