Thanks for the link. I personally thought that was pretty interesting. I didn't know that Libby had been conversing in the beginning (BM described it as narrating). The Evansdale mention was an eyebrow raiser.

These new mentions of certain individuals take me back to the beginning. So many here were absolutely sure that RL was involved and the same went for KAK. I was positive that RL had no part in this but now, I'm re-thinking the whole thing. I'm reminded of the folks who theorized the girls were taken on the path on the north side of the creek.

IMO, I feel confident that they did not exit the path on the north side of the bridge. I went to the bridge before any alterations were made and the terrain is such that it would be nearly impossible and RA would risk giving others that may be in the area a much better opportunity to see what was happening. IMO.

I don't recall which investigator mentioned it but iirc one said there was a visible disturbance on the far end, disruption in the leaf coverage, like sliding.

In the interests of balance, I was pretty disappointed in Judge Gull's response to the NBC requests. Public access is important. Her response is trolling and arrogant in my view.

Also, this is one of the longest orders she managed to write in the entire trial. The idea she is too busy is difficult for me to take seriously when I compare to the judgements recently issued in the Idaho murders trial. Multiple 30+ page rulings with consideration of precedent, findings of fact, and application of law. Those are the minimum standards one can expect. IIRC Judge Gull managed a couple of pages after a 3 day hearing. Poor.

So no love of a judge with such a chip on her shoulder when her own work isn't up to the mark.

My opinion.

After that leak I think it was justified.

Did you go on the path that begins on the left side of the bridge and ends somewhere near the cemetery?

Yes I did. And with the leaves gone that time of year anyone driving by on the road would be able to see you. I actually thought that was the way RA accessed the bridge until walking it. I did not make it all the way to the cemetery it seemed pretty dangerous and the state property was not marked well. I did drive to the back of the cemetery and looked over the area.

Thanks. Is there a steep ravine near the cemetery that goes down to the general area of the crime scene? Is there flat area behind the cemetery?

According to the RD info, that path would have been where RL met the girls, IMO.

IMO it’s not steep like the other areas. I would have no trouble traversing that area. I was only there once and a lot of this is a matter of opinion. But that’s mine.

The defense team complained multiple times about problems navigating the system the State used for all of the evidence. The latest filing by the judge inadvertently demonstrates the problems of even finding certain items in (what should be) organized files. Good for her for doing that.

Her general attitude seemed to portray a lack of interest in cooperation. Maybe, if she would have just stated what she wanted/needed in order to comply with requests, things would have been less complicated and time consuming. If she needs an exhibit number, for example, why not just say it?

Keeping public documents out of the hands of the public after the trial is as bothersome to me as sealing public docs before the trial was.

Appeals are part of the legal process; he's doing his job. IMO
This has nothing to do with appealing. He’s still trying to get the court to change its decision based on discovery & is just the newest work of fiction like the Odinism garbage. His desperation reeks of sour grapes, filing motions less than a week later requesting a hearing. He had his chance at trial & he failed.

He’s not one of the 2 the appellate attorneys, thank goodness. Once this last motion or two gets bench slapped, he’s likely moving to the background or just going away. The appellate clock started ticking earlier this week & we likely won’t hear from them for at least another month.

“A Walk Through The Woods” is set to cover the 2017 murders of 13-year-old Abigail “Abby” Williams and 14-year-old Liberty “Libby” German.

“The murders of teenagers Abby and Libby in their close-knit hometown of Delphi, Indiana spark worldwide headlines. The high-profile case takes a stunning twist after detectives reveal Libby captured a video of the killer shortly before her death — a crucial piece of evidence that helps police track down the murderer.”

To be fair, you’re comparing courts for a town of 3k to a city 78 times larger (235k). Employee numbers are limited in the smaller court, I’m sure & that’s likely where the bottleneck is in getting things organized & filed, right, wrong or indifferent.

I’m not excusing JG’s lack of wording or personal work but she’s been done with the 3 attorneys ever since the CS photo leaks & AB apparently just can’t stop poking the hornet nest.

An important part of a defense attorney's job is to make records for the appeals. I'm sure he knows what her answer will be but it's important to get it on the record. MOO

Now, eight years on from the murders and two months after Allen was sentenced to 130 years in prison in December, Liggett has spoken to Dateline about the investigation.

In a clip from the new episode ‘A Walk Through the Woods’, obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, Liggett revealed how Allen’s behavior instantly set off alarm bells when he first interviewed him in October 2022.

Liggett said he had shown Allen the image of Bridge Guy and the 52-year-old local man bristled and insisted he was not the man in the video.

He also claimed he had never seen Abby or Libby at the trail day and changed his timeline to claim he had actually been at the trail earlier in the day - meaning they would not have crossed paths.

I noticed something in the PCA. The height of bridge guy has always been a question. Richard Allen is 5 feet, 4 inches tall. The PCA said that bridge guy was probably not taller than 5 foot, 10 inches. I know Richard Allen was convicted by a jury who thinks he is bridge guy from the photograph and video.

The witness who took the 1:26pm photograph of a bench said that she advised that her head came up to approximately his (bridge guy's) shoulder. The average human head is about 8 - 9 inches from bottom to top (without considering the neck).

This would mean the juvenile witness who took the 1:26pm photograph would be approximately 4 feet, 7 inches or 4 feet, 8 inches tall? I know this is not completely scientific.

If anyone knows who the juvenile witness was who took the 1:26pm photograph of the bench, how old were they on February 13th, 2017? How tall was this witness on February 13th, 2017? If it was a young juvenile, maybe they were around 4 feet, 8 inches tall and this would be at least one unscientific way to get close to the actual height of the bridge guy from Liberty German's phone video.

If you are looking for a new interesting case check out the teenager on trial for stabbing his twin sister. Benjamin Elliott claims he was sleep walking

It was Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Giancola who found the disturbed area.

Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies Darron Giancola and Drew Yoder were the first law enforcement on the scene. The jury heard from Giancola first Monday.

[snip]

“I teamed up with civilians and fire department personnel. We searched south of the bridge, making a line from the creek to (a private drive that runs under the High Bridge),” he said. The group pushed north until around midnight.

During the search, Giancola said something stood out to him.

“As I go underneath the bridge alongside a large section of limestone and cinder brick, I saw a wash of leaves downhill showing bare ground,” he said. “It stood out as odd.”

The bare ground was on what has been described as the area where the girls traveled “Down the hill,” after being instructed to do so by a man recorded by Libby on the bridge

is it an important part of his job to file the Ricci motion with dozens of bullet points of speculation then run on to Mottas show to make conspiratorial comments?

How does that make a record for appeal?
