I get the impression he’s a very social guy and is involved in a lot of local groups. He is a captain on a team in the sport league I play on.

Based on what LE is saying I do get the impression it had something to do with drugs, be it marijuana or something harder. Gone are the days of hippy dope dealers. These local guys specialize in the more potent marijuana as well as other drugs. If they see an opportunity to rip someone off they will. Even if you’ve done dealings with them numerous times. They know you aren’t gonna report them. I just keep getting the feeling that she was vulnerable. Beautiful girl all by herself on the not so good side of town. With her car being all over the posters and local news I don’t think it’s anywhere in town. A very credible person told me they have met up at that particular Waffle House (all waffle houses are popular meet up spots).

How much older is DW? What is his reputation in the community in general- is it known that he parties with a younger crowd or is that being said because he was out this particular night with DNV and friends?
What type of work does he do? If he’s a well off, reputable older married man, basically from a completely different world than DNV, then how and why were he and DNV friends?
I’m trying to get a better understanding of who DNV is friends with; we really don’t know much about her lifestyle except what JDT said which was all roses - DNV was on a great path making all the right choices at the time of her disappearance.

I am still confident that DW was Car 1 and dropped what he was doing to go back to Dublins at 11:05 to get DNV's phone. Dublin's closed at midnight on Tuesday. If they both completed their errand near the Shell station before returning to Dublin's to get the phone, it may not have been open and DNV would not have her phone until it opened the next day. It makes complete sense to me that as soon as they realized her phone was missing, one of them would grab it before the bar closed. Particularly if DNV planned to stay out that night, she would need her phone to contact her friends.

It makes sense to me too, that, if they were meeting someone near the Shell for some reason, one person (out of DW and DNV) would go back to Dublin's to get the phone before it closed and one person would complete the errand. If they both turned around to Dublin's they may have stood up someone they were meeting with no way to contact them if they originated contact through DNV's phone before leaving Dublin's.

What if they were planning to meet at Waffle House but DNV flashed her lights to pull over early when she realized she forgot her phone. The person they were supposed to meet (Car 3) saw her across the street pull into the Shell Station so they left WH to pull in after her at the Shell.

I know Otto disagrees but I do think it can be important to know why she was over near the Shell. It would put either specific people or types of people in the vicinity at the time of her disappearance.

MPR Talk Radio: Missing Person, Danniella Nikole Vian

Ok- starting before the 16 min mark now- JDT talking about how she found out DNV was missing. Wed morning she got a call at 7:30 am from someone (who we know to be DW) saying that he had found a girl’s phone-he did NOT use DNV’s name- saw a pic of a child and thought he needed to let someone know.
My thoughts: how did he get JDT’s phone number? How did he know who she was and that she would be the best person to contact? Was DNV’s phone not locked? Bc JDT stated elsewhere (don’t have the link on me) that she had to give the phone
code to police.

Now get this- JDT says she told the caller (DW) where DNV worked and instructed him to drop the phone off there. At this point, JDT isn’t alarmed as she recalls thinking that DNV misplaces her phone a lot. He (DW) does not drop ithe phone off at DNV’s work as JDT had directed him to do, and instead keeps the phone and calls JDT that evening asking if she’s heard from the owner of the phone (DNV).

Why didnt he drop it off at her work like JDT instructed unless he knew she wasn’t going to show up there and that something happened or may have happened to her? Why did he pretend he didn’t know whose phone it was?

I wonder if there was a missed call or text on the home screen of DV phone that shows up even when locked, and yes you can make a call by clicking on that, even with the phone locked. Maybe the pic of the baby/child was the screen saver SO DV had Danni’s phone and called that missed call, even tho he didn’t know who JDT was
As for him not dropping everything to take the phone to PF Chang’s, it’s beleiveable he got busy with his day and didn’t get around to it. He does have a job. So the day ended and he still had the phone so he called that number back.

I am about half sick of people implying DNV to be something she wasn’t. Furthermore, as soon as we pretty much established DW’s alibi, something comes out about him and questions start up, but no fear TT was definitely in jail...... yeah about that, don’t believe it for a second.

This is the saddest thing I’ve seen, after that interview people are now back to questioning DNV’s drug use. Now She had a fling with a random guy and a baby was born (bet this story changes and is far less smearing) but her ex stayed in the apt. And they were BFF’s and co-parents.

DNV is a victim and it’s sad as heck to me the people on this forum are quicker to stick up and defend her than the people who “love” her.

Just to clear something up .. the highlighted area would be what is considered midtown. The Southeast side of the highlighted area tends to be a known drug haven. The Red Dot SouthWest is the Shell station. If LE really did see DNV heading towards a more populated area she would have taken Government Street towards downtown.

All of this is fine and good, but it by far does not explain the GPS going dead.

A good bit, if I had to guess in his 40s. She was the youngest in the group. I’m sure he makes good money but I don’t think he’s extremely well off. I don’t think he is married although he does have a baby. I think she might’ve made a post on SM asking if anyone was going out that night or something along that line is what I read. DW and DNV are friends on FB. How well they knew each other is still unknown.

Yeah it seems like she was getting things in order, if she was working towards getting her daughter back full time it’s odd that she’d be allowing TT to live with her considering he does not appear to be on that same path.

I understood her to say in the interview that she did not know that they had gotten back together about 6 months before she went missing. I think to answer the questioning of TT saying she was still his girlfriend when she disappeared. And maybe why they had “rights” to go in the apartment? Maybe.

Thank you for saying all this. Totally agree with you. IMO the latest JDT interview was mainly thinly veiled victim shaming while promoting the idea that everything was sunshine and rainbows in the T/D clan household and that TT had moved on with his life and his ex DNV and PS they were living together.

About the only thing I was convinced of in the interview was that JDT knew little about the TT/DNV 'relationship' and if that were the case then why not just say "I don't know"? The TT/DNV relationship appeared at best volitile and complicated and had been going on a good long time and had been characterized by drugs and violence and addiction in a vicious cycle. This story would have more credibility in my mind than the everything has been processed and we're all good statements that seem to characterize the current spin on the relationship. It might be believable that the relationship was on an even keel at the time of disappearance and that both parties had moved on if we weren't dealing with at least one party being an addict IMO. TT himself posted on FB that DNV was his GF when DNV went missing? I guess JDT doesn't follow TT on FB to get the 911 on his relationships?!

Was everything sunshine and rainbows in the T/D family as described by JDT? I'm not seeing how it could be. Down the street from the T/D family home the Dykes house where JCD lived with his father was raided by MPD SWAT throwing stun bombs along with a crew of 40 LE staff and 3 people were removed in handcuffs. How many families deal with something like this in their lifetimes? My guess is not many. Further, TT is a convicted felon with a history of DV and violence as well by all accounts an addict. TT by all accounts was awaiting sentencing following a series of at least 5 drug related charges including parole violations. At no time since this sad case has started has there been any evidence of honesty as to the location of TT. None. We have seen one story after another with zero proof of any information. I hope LE knows where TT was and I will leave it at that. But any family that is dealing with addiction and prolonged litigation with possible long term prison knows that this experience is not characterized by sunshine and rainbows IMO. The DNV ex-BF/recent baby situation couldn't have been easy on the family either as it would have been alot for any family to process especially with an existing 4 yr old child.

Sadly we haven't heard from the friends of DNV to find out how she had been doing with her plans to take custody of her daughter. Was she waiting for TT to go to prison to assert her custody case? We don't know. But looking at her actions she seems to have been heading in a good direction. She had an apartment, She had a car and She was working double shirts to save cash. What else might have been going on in DNV's life at the time she went missing? We don't know.
