I would assume if she had any plans then probably the 3 people she spent the evening with would know. They are the only ones who might know her plans , where she was heading after the Shell station or if she planned to take Cora and get away. Just because they are not speaking to us / the media does not mean they are not speaking to police. I think they (and especially DW) hold the answer to what happened to her. Not necessarily responsible, but can shed some light on how she was feeling, if she was stressed / worried or whatever. I can't imagine she spent the whole evening with them and didn't mention anything about what's going on in her life, TT or the whole situation.

I still think it was an accident. The only thing that does not fit this scenario is the GPS deactivated.

Maybe the plan was for Danni to follow her friend to the car rental office, drop of his rental car and then join their friends at Ollies. Maybe she was happy and relaxed, having achieved a couple of major goals of living independently and buying a car, and was looking forward to building a life for her and her daughter.

That is what seems to be her most likely state of mind while out with friends celebrating her achievements.

This is going to take me a while since unfortunately so much of our discussion has been deleted and there is no media thread for DNV (and I'm at work lol). I'll look through the press conferences, but I have in my notes that LE said the footage was bad quality and they couldn't be sure car 3 was different than car 1.
Here's a reminder of how awful the footage is on the surveillance camera (this still is taken from NBC 15 facebook- the link now says they removed the video footage but this remains there)

Does anyone think that now that she's been found, presumably, they'll release the video??? Honestly I don't think there's anything to be seen in it, but maybe it could clear up for us why LE said DNV was "occupying" her vehicle instead of saying she was "driving" her vehicle
Also does anyone think she was killed at the Shell station? Going through old threads looking for an answer for Cody, this was an interesting discussion/question I saw.

Did anybody figure out this photo? I have looked at it for 30 minutes and I don't see anything

The only thing I can see is I'm fairly sure the middle white things are the gas pumps.

I'm sure there are easier ways to steal a car than to buy a car and disable the GPS. Furthermore, there's no reason to assume that Danni is a car thief.

I thought this was the car she bought, so if the GPS is disabled, the car could not lead anyone to her location (assuming she took her daughter). Of course she would need a new phone as well.

Either she bought the car outright or could make the payments on-line. I'm not thinking deep enough to suggest she was stealing the car; just a low possibility option as to why the GPS was disabled.

The why is important. And I don't know why.

Interesting. Could Danni have disabled her own GPS as part of a plan to disappear with her daughter?

And someone else caught wind of her plan and made sure it did not happen?

Wouldn't she have picked up her daughter and then disable the GPS, or shortly before she picked her up. Why disable in late at night in a closed Shell Station?

JDT is the one who said LE told her that it's possible car 1 and car 3 were the same car. JTD also has reason to push the agenda that car 1 has something to do with DNV's disappearance to take heat off her family so take from that what you will. Regardless, I think it's possible car 1 and car 3 were the same but that's not making any further commentary on what happened that night. What was the time between car 1 pulling out and car 3 pulling in? Does anyone have that in their notes?
Personally I think there were three different cars at the Shell station that night- DW's, DNV's and a mystery third car that was potentially following her and just got very lucky that she happened to be alone and happened to be without her phone and they happened to know a) that her car had a gps tracker and b) how to uninstall it. Also what was the time between car 3 pulling in and car 2 and 3 pulling out?
There is a lot of luck/things falling into place for whoever did this to DNV if we go that route but it is what I think happened that night.
I agree that I think the people who were with her MIGHT know some things, but I also agree they could be talking/have already told LE things that we don't know/aren't privy to. It's smart of them to stay completely away from the media, I commend them on that. Frustrating spot we're in right now though. So many unanswered questions and ways that this could go.

She bought the car that day and the GPS is monitored by the dealership to protect their property. Disabling the GPS is the first step to preventing the dealership from locating their property, and the first step to stealing the car. There's no reason to assume that this single mother would disable the GPS on her new car except if she had ill intent.

Keeping things in perspective, she had just given birth and placed the child for adoption. She was working two jobs, had recently purchased a vehicle, and was well on her way to achieving her big goals of having full custody of her daughter and walking her daughter to school each day. She was celebrating her achievements with friends shortly before she vanished.

A custody hearing was scheduled a few days after she disappeared. Her mother-in-law claims that Danni intended to give her mother-in-law full custody at that hearing. That is contradicted by Danni's goals, and furthermore they did not need a hearing if Danni was giving up custody of her daughter. She could sign the papers at any time anywhere. Danni vanished days before she would secure parental rights of her daughter, and her mother-in-law would shift to the role of visiting grandmother.

I have never been able to make out that photo. At one point I thought I saw something and then I think it was @Alethea who suggested it was probably the reflection of the person taking the picture face on the screen. That made sense to me.

Well, that fills in some of the blanks. Thanks otto!

I'm not willing to rule much of anything out at this point. As much as I'd love to hang my hat on Occam's Razor, stranger things have happened many a time...

Just watched the video interview of JDT, which took place two-hours ago. Has anyone else watched it?. I am withholding my opinion.

I just watched. One stood out to me the most is “justice is not what is important”.

JDT Interview Transcription (WKRG):
  • Q: How did you find out about the discovery that was made on Thursday?
A: I was at work. I actually would have found out either on the news or from my phone, but I didn't have it with me because I was at work, so I put it up. I was brought back to the back of my job, thinking I might be in trouble - I didn't know what was going on, my manager came and got me, and she brought me to the back and then of course I saw the detective, two detectives and the chaplain, so of course I knew that they had found her - assumed, but knew.
  • Q: What were you thinking at that time when they told you?
A: I thought that they found her car. I thought they found her. I could just tell by the look on his face that it wasn't gonna be good news, you know? Just the somber... It was just validation - verification, I guess, and knowing that it was over. Looking for her was hard, you know? It was - it was - you think it's gonna be closure, that it's gonna be a good thing to finally find out because that's what your goal is - to find her, you know? And that's what you've been working for for so long and striving for and begging for and praying for, and when you finally get that it's not closure. It's not. It's numbing, it's just like the loss of words, it's numbing, you don't know what it is, you don't know what to feel, you're just there, and you're glad that you're not looking anymore or that you finally found her. It's kind of like we brought her home. We didn't - we were very luck. Prayers brought her home because I believe it was an act of god that she was found in the first place because I don't know that she ever really would have been based on - not based on tips, not based on anyone letting us know. It was just a very lucky thing that we found her and all I wanted was to have her out of the water, and I'm okay now. You know, everybody's talking about justice, and justice will be served, whether it's by man or by god. I care but that's not my goal at all. I just wanted her home, and that's what we have now. Now we just have to look forward to doing what's best for Danniella in the future, following her wishes, what she would have wanted - what's best for Cora, which goes along with that. So we still have things that we need to do for Danniella, but our job is done as far as looking for her.

My mother-in-law doesn't like me that much but I feel like if you just found my body in the Hudson River she'd be screaming about finding whoever did this and sending them to death row.

If it's all about Cora, don't you want to be able to tell her you found who did this to her mom and brought them to justice? I understand physically finding Danniella and giving her a proper burial and grave (or memorial) is very important but understanding what happened and presumably finding those responsible for her death is important too.

MPD keeps calling this a homicide investigation. Not once in the live press conferences the chief did Thursday and Friday did he say, "no foul play is suspected" like they often say when they suspect suicide or an accident.

That got my attention as well. It sounds like she knew all along that Danni was in the water and all she wanted all this time was to get her out of the water. It's a very strange remark. She also has her own way of grieving after learning that her daughter in law was submerged in her car in 30' of water.

BBM- based on. Almost sounds like the thought was stopped. How JDT paused and the finished with not based on tips...

LE has had the body four days. Should a dental record identification be available by now?

I would assume her being a young single mom their may not be recent dental X-rays available. I could be wrong. Next up JDT interview and the laughing let’s please all remember people handle emotions different. The Dads 911 call on the Isabella Celis case instantly made me think he had to be guilty and I was so wrong.
