What I have been posting to my Truckers etc. Anything I need to add?
[Still Missing from Mobile, Alabama. Please share!!! 7-17-18. Make sure that the Port and all Shipping Containers are plastered please!!! Danniella Vian, was last seen Tuesday riding in a deep blue 2014 Chevrolet Cruz with a Pearl Motors paper tag in the 3500 block of Government Boulevard. Vian was believed to be wearing a Mellow Mushroom T-shirt and hat, police said. Family members say Vian went to The Dublin Pub & Eatery on Old Shell Road the evening of July 17th.They say she left there with a friend in separate cars to go to another establishment, and, along the way, flashed her lights when she realized she didn't have her cell phone. She pulled over with her friend at a Shell station on Government near I-65 to look for the phone, couldn't find it, then decided to go back to Dublin's to search for it.The friend said Vian got in her car, and that was the last he saw of her.]

I have also posted the flyers her family sent me. I believe this is it.

PM the admin that is on duty to ask the question. You might be ok as long as its a family member speaking but double check to make sure.
How do I find an admin on duty?

My initials are DV so I am feeling a goofy connection. I know-crazy!

(This is completely O/T. But I was just talking to my sister in law about this case and I told her your comment and she said "So are mine!"..... we all fell silent before laughing while waiting for her to realize that her initials are RV, not DV. Lol)

I have been chucking about this since I read it!! I needed a good chuckle. Going back and forth between this one and little Jordon. So sad for both!

I tweeted The Mayor of Mobile! His tagline mentions keeping Mobile Safe!
Yes, their goal is to make Mobile the safest city in America. Not sure its going too well though. Glad you sent a tweet as maybe it will wake up the good Mayor and he might reach out and wake up the Chief to ask why missing folks in Mobile rarely get found by LE.

Violent crime stats are trending upward in a dramatic way. Specific crime stats with latest numbers were posted earlier in this thread with a link to City Police Annual Report if you are interested in greater detail. Vehicle crime is also a major issue in Mobile. This is believed to be tied to the Port which makes it easy to send parts and entire vehicles around the world with very little difficulty.

I am in a private group on fb for finding DV. And JDT is also apart of it.. there’s has been some newer info posted in this group by JDT not here yet.. can I share screenshots? Is that allowed?

Can you let us know the name of the group? I think that's allowed.

WHERE ARE YOU DANNIELLA?!?
It seems likely that Mobile PD know precisely where DV is located and has since the night she disappeared. Why pull the CCTV tape from Shell Station? Why coerce the local media into pulling the CCTV video off the internet? Why break links on local media webpages and scrub unwanted coverage in a random way from the internet? Why? Mobile PD why not do your job instead and return DV to her young daughter?

Fingers crossed the tweeting, and outcry for help will get this little girl some answers about her mama!

HOW CAN WE GET THIS ON NATIONAL NEWS?!
It seems like all efforts are being made and it just isn’t getting picked up by any big news stations.

Sadly in cases like this one, it's so very difficult to get featured on the "big" news show. Any news show helps. Cases like Mollie Tibbetts are actually on the much rarer side, and something just "clicks" with the media, and off they are on a full-fledged tangent to locate that person. (I don't like to speculate on what makes one case "media-attractive" compared to others...)
She's been missing a while now. People like me are reaching out to the thousands of Truckers, Musicians etc out on the road in and out of the Mobile area daily. Especially on the Port. That's the best I can do at this point.
Good luck and please keep trying every thing you can think of.
She sure does need to come home to her daughter. I so agree.
Determination from the public helps.

Just keep posting and reposting on SM if you think it will help. After all this time with not one sighting of DV I sadly don't believe she is 'out and about' in a location where a missing poster would help bring her home to her young daughter. But I would never discourage any activity in a missing case where awareness of the missing person is raised! So, post away!

I believe the 'big market press' are staying away from this story after Mobile PD made the decion to coerce the local station (believe it was Fox affiliate) into taking the Shell Station footage off the internet. Press coercion is still taken seriously by most outlets so they might be leery of giving the case much coverage. Even the local press haven't been very effective IMO in getting basic information from Mobile PD. Nobody in the local press appears to be working the story probably for fear of reprisal by Mobile PD IMO. This is a sad commentary on where the local press stands with regard to help for the families of missing people. Just a fact as simple as whether the missing person DV was married or not has not been confirmed by the local press.

Either the Mobile PD have this case under control (seems doubtful based on their weak/poor history of finding missing people) and have solid information as to the whereabouts and status of DV or its been a hugely mishandled mistake and Mobile PD are trying to just sweep the entire case under a rug.

The other reason this story isn't very attractive to 'big market press' is the fact that on the surface of the case it appears that a coverup of key facts and case players is going on both by the 'family' and Mobile PD. There might be a reason for not naming names or giving basic information on the direction of DV and the party train group after the Shell Station but so far we don't know what happened and this is by design of the Mobile PD. So the question becomes what to report? The answer to this is really not much here.

So, the resulting media story isn't too compelling as fundamental details have been withheld or not shared so the story is: young female buys a used car, goes out partying with friends to celebrate car, allegedly misplaces phone (this fact was never even confirmed by Mobile PD), leaves bar with at least one unnamed 'friend', goes to gas station (again we don't know exactly why they were at gas station but circumstances are suspicious), gps signal goes dead (we again don't know why or how), is joined by at least one car at gas station (we don't know why or who), leaves gas station (we don't know which direction she was heading) and she vanishes.

Not one of the so called 'friends' have come forward to participate in search or have they spoken with press about the circumstances of the party train evening. This case doesn't have a pleading husband or best friend or parent who the media could focus on as part of this story. In fact in this case the 'husband' and birth parents and family have been absent from the media. I am not criticizing the parents or 'husband' at all as how they choose to particiapte in the process of finding their missing relative is absolutely a personal choice. But their choices in participating in finding DV do have an impact on the media activity in the case IMO. The human interest angle for the case is simply that of a young woman who by all accounts has had a rough hardscrabble life and has a 4 yr old child who if she is not found will most likely not see grow up. For some stations this might be enough of a story to provide coverage but with all the smoke and mirrors around the case details most stations would simply give the story a pass. Just one persons POV.

I know no one on WS likes her but this case is perfect for Nancy Grace.

I think the police identified a suspect in the surveillance from the gas station. They pulled it from TV because they didn't want to tip off their suspect. I believe they are now surveilling him to either get enough evidence to charge him or so he'll lead them to a body.

This would explain the radio silence, lack of public involvement, and the prompt deletion of the surveillance video.
