AL AL - Kahleb Rowan Collins, 1, his dad & sis were killed in a car crash, he wasn't with them, Fayette County, 8 Dec 2024

A search of the landfill I don't see being successful. When landfills are searched there isa great deal of effort figuring out where the remains were disposed of, when, and then tracking where dumps were being made within the landfill during that time period. We don't have a when. We have an employee who could have dumped him anywhere so it will be very difficult IMO to even begin to grid a general area of where to search within that mess.

Not to mention, over 3 months on from when something likely happened to Kahleb.

Did grandfather perhaps do some talking?

"The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency on Tuesday issued a missing alert for Kahleb. The alert said Kahleb was last seen Sept. 4.

"Charging documents against Bailey say he committed the alleged crime on Sept. 10 in Fayette County."
"The criminal complaint states Bailey “failed to report a missing child by delaying to make or failing to cause to be made the report with willful and reckless disregard for the safety of the child and the child suffered serious bodily harm or death, to wit: physical injuries to the child and the child was removed from the home and taken to an unknown location and no report was made by any resident of the home.”

Really interested in that Sept. 4 - Sept. 10 timeframe. By what is said in the documents, it appears he at least knew of the death/harm of the child but was not part of the removal? (at least that's what I'm gathering from it?) Was all of this dragged out over a 6 day period? Did the parents "leave town" and return to the home 6 days later without him? Or did this all take place on Sept 10? Is the last seen date of the 4th from someone outside the home or from the grandfather? The landfill search is sad news. Does anyone remember the Quinton Simon case? LE seemed to know very early-on which exact trash receptacle he was thrown away in and were able to focus on specific parts of the landfill based on that- however that search still took sooooo long (but thankfully his remains WERE eventually found) but in this case they are starting off over 3 months behind and probably don't have a specific area of the landfill set apart to search. But, they ARE searching it so maybe they do have an idea of where to look? Or are just very determined? Or just scratching a possibility off the list?

Edited to add: Tried to find the grandfather's mugshot. Booking info is here, but no photo.

A neighbor of the family told WWMT that they were aware the couple had a son, but never saw him. A few months ago, the parents reportedly told the neighbor the child was sick and had been sent to a relative’s house.

none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts. One passenger was ejected from the car, per the report.
