Key Medic? Only Medic?

@DI_Isokawa Thanks for posting this link describing the "key medic" job responsibilities quite differently from the Complaint's description of CS's job. Always interesting to see different angles. my2ct.

FWIW, at imdb.com "full credits" lists no other medics, just CS as "key medic." ibm rbm below. Was website edited, after death & injuries?

This entire production was skeleton crew. It had a special designation as a low budget film, so the industry standard bare minimums could be used, which they did. There was just the one medic, IMO.

Yes - and based on interviews of people who were actually in the church, rather than on Alec Baldwin's interview.

It was just as first described - he was doing a seated cross-draw in rehearsal. He was not aiming "at the camera." If he was supposed to be aiming in that direction, then the production broke even more union rules/industry standards.

Clearly, he wasn't supposed to pull the trigger (which he likely did before he thumbed the hammer). He avoided all safety training on set and did not have the training on this particular weapon (which should have been its inoperable double during a rehearsal or while pointing directly at the camera, unless safety glass was in place).

Anyway, it's shocking to see animated Alec Baldwin draw and shoot in just 1-2 seconds, with no direction to do so.

In New Mexico those are not rules, they are suggestions. There is no mechanism in place to insure they are followed prior to or during filming, just mechanisms to impose retribution after a casualty. For a certain class of productions, that is a feature of filming in this state, not a bug.

I think the 15 rules broken are going to lead to retribution since casualties were caused. Baldwin is in a lot of trouble, IMO.

This explains his shenanigans early on. He spoke tenderly in referencing Halynas husband. In that street side interview he said “she was my friend” very forcefully. He knew in the least he was in trouble for a mishandled crew and loose rules.

He has made his rounds with the media looking like an idiot. All his bs in just the last 2 weeks about his workload. He basically hasn’t shut up.

That was on Oct. 16. Five days later, the camera crew went on strike to protest the producers’ alleged inaction. Just after lunchtime, Hutchins suffered fatal her injuries.

Sure, and possibly richly deserved. Hard to see how his troubles helps to prevent a recurrence.

My take on the “awesome” response is that she was being sarcastic. But…boy…that sarcasm won’t play well in court.

AB better get a better story than "Halyna told me what to do, where to point gun". If AB continues the narrative that he was basically an innocent victim in this debacle, it won't play well with a jury.

In a civil lawsuit, AB would not testify in a court, AFAIK, he would testify under oath in a deposition. All a smart attorney needs to do is push AB's buttons. I would love to see that.
