:furious: Save it for the penalty phase! :furious:
here's a bag for you
opcorn:
how about a :martini: , too?![]()
It's being done as an alternative argument - which is typically allowed in the pleadings. Pretty straightforward for an attorney to brief every viable option, etc.
So George and Cindy were/are ignorant to the possibility that their daughter who has lived with them all her life is unstable.
The defense team is ONLY trying to get the death penalty off the table before this heads to trial.
Ask yourself again why Lee is out of the picture. And George staring into the woods.
The crime she's charged with is cold, calculated, and premeditated. So they couldn't have been referring to that. IMO, they were referring to what Casey did as opposed to what she is charged with.
As mentioned "suffering from episodes of extreme emotional distress and disturbance since her daughter's birth". Puleeez...could she have had it any easier? Will they say her mother put undo pressure on her? Cindy made her nuts? If they want the dp off the table they better have something better to offer than this.Evidently the evidence is not good for the defense. I hate it when they cry crazy, nuts, wacked. It's just an excuse. She could have left Caylee with Cindy.
and...............where ARE those docs??????????????????

Submitted by defense to prosecution outlining why prosecution should not seek death penalty, in part reads:
"The crime was not cold, calculated and premeditated. In the months leading up to Caylee's disappearance, Anthony's behavior was described by friends and family as "erratic and not entirely rational."
He wrote that filicide the act of a parent killing a child is different than other homicides. The underlying reasons why mothers kill are complex and can be divided into various categories. For example, one type is a parent who kills under influence of mental illness. Another type suggests a parent's motive may be to save the child from real or imagined harm.
Juries are more likely to show mothers mercy. He mentioned Andrea Yates a Texas mother who drowned all five children was sentenced to life in prison. Susan Smith, the Arkansas mother who pushed her car with her two children inside in a lake, got life in prison."
Is this an acknowledgement of Caylee's murder??
Seeing Casey spend the rest of the next 60+ years in a hardcore prison is ok with me. I'd love to see her get the DP, but LWOP would probably be more of a punishment and hardship in Casey's eyes.
Who said that she had a psych evaluation, I'm sure she'll have another one by a defense psychiatrist and a prosecution psychiatrist - Casey might have been told to say certain things and Baez and she rehearsed it (which most defense attorneys do with their clients) BUT if it's rehearsed for the evaluation, with Baez helping, this would be perjury, would it not? And if it comes out that this is the case, Baez could lose his license, like he's being investigated already on other stuff
This could be some of what they were doing for 6 hours daily
Apparently, they won't be released until tomorrow as they were having trouble "uploading" them.
