Has anyone ever said what she was like as a child? I'd be fascinated to know.Wow … what an utterly bizarre creature she really is.
And she just sat across the table from them, watching them consume the deadly poison she had served them, knowing what a horrendous, unspeakable death awaited those sweet, elderly people.RSBM BBM
Terrible, painful, protracted deaths.
This is the aspect that has been on my mind a lot.
[And often got lost in 'The EP Show' that the accused tried to distract the trial into.]
These were violent murders. Hopefully it will be given due weight in the next, sentencing, phase.

It sure did. That “separated” started it all.![]()
And she let them pray for her.And she just sat across the table from them, watching them consume the deadly poison she had served them, knowing what a horrendous, unspeakable death awaited those sweet, elderly people.
Evil. Just evil.
I wonder if her children will continue to visit her in prison? They may have believed it was accidental up until now...
I think she just went in and right back out.
It's really chilling. And she just sat across the table from them, watching them consume the deadly poison she had served them, knowing what a horrendous, unspeakable death awaited those sweet, elderly people.

Gosh that hit me hard. She's just coming into a stage of life where she needs her mum more than ever- transitioning into womanhood with neither her mum nor her grandmother there to support her. My own daughter is the same age. Just breaks my heart to think of that poor little girl having to go through such pain and heartache, all because of her own mother. What will it do to get sense of self? I can only hope the love of her remaining family will help carry her through. Her daughter is only 11 years old.![]()
She had plenty of money from her inheritance so I don't understand what exactly she wanted/expected?Wow, just wow! We heard parts of t...greed just makes me sick, what a vile person.
Speeding and drinking. Smh. She didn't and never has had one drop of concern for the safety of others,In the same year Erin met Simon, she had her first serious brush with the law.
In June 2004, Erin was almost three times over the legal limit when she was involved in a drunken crash at Glen Waverley.
Court records reveal she was driving an unregistered car and didn't stop after the crash or give her name and address. She was also driving 35km/h over the speed limit in a 60 kilometres per hour zone.
Erin pleaded guilty to five charges and was convicted and fined $1,000, which she elected to pay in $40 monthly instalments.
Her licence was cancelled and she was disqualified from driving in Victoria for two and a half years.

'She's no dope': Who is the host of Australia's most infamous lunch?
The world has met Erin Patterson as the murderous cook behind a mushroom meal that killed three relatives. But years before her courtroom infamy, the woman from Melbourne's suburbs divided opinions.www.abc.net.au
The 9 seconds also included her entering and exiting the restroom.I think 9 seconds to toss a bag in a bin and wash your hands is not out of the question, especially if your kid is in the car waiting.
Re the handwashing. When out for a meal, using the restroom recently, when it came to washing my hands I thought I wonder how fast I can do this and do an ok job.
Then I tossed the paper towel in the bin. It took me all of 10 seconds.
Edited to say that I am a bit OCD when it comes to washing my hands and I wash them for all kinds of reasons apart from using the toilet.
I wash my hands after I've touched clothes going into the washing machine.
I wash them after I've emptied the robot vacuum cleaners or the normal vacuum
I wash them if I've touched raw chicken or the bag it was in.
I wash them if I touch the kitchen bin even slightly
I wash them for no particular reason "just in case"
So for my test on how fast I could wash my hands properly, my inspiration was Superman and it's amazing how fast I could do it and still feel that the washing was up to my high standard![]()
I cant recall where I saw this afternoon that the next court hearing will be for the sentencing, at which point there will also be victim impact statements.
1. Can anyone confirm the above?
2. Are victim impact statements voluntary (ie only if they wish to)?
I recently had to pick up after my dog just before I was getting into the car to go home. No bins in sight so I had to take the bag in the car with me (just like EP claimed she did). I only had a 10 min drive home but the stench from the bag was gross even though I had double bagged it and tied it off both times. EP's son has no recollection of her having to do an emergency toilet stop.... think it is safe to say, the smell would have marked the occasion.Plenty of time to bin something.
The problem for EP was that what she was supposedly binning would require handwashing. Especially if you're then going over to look at food you eat with your hands.
5-6 seconds. And took her SO long to get out of the car!
