Officers have begun packing up the excavation site where detectives have been searching for the remains of missing Sydney mother Lynette Dawson.

Detectives began removing they machinery and tools they had used to comb through the soil at around lunch time today. A tow truck appeared shortly after to remove the five orange skip bins on the property.

A police spokeswoman said detectives had yet to find anything at the site and it was yet to be decided if the dig would continue. The Australian 1 hr ago

I think they were all referring to when Lyn was there, not when she "left".
Just listened to Chris in the episode 'Loyalty", his words were when asked by the detective if Lyn was close to the children- " she was pretty close to them most of the time, then when she returned to work I guess she was a little frustrated she wasn't with the children as often as she liked. I basically became father and mother to Sherrin our second daughter, but she was basically a good mother, yes."
Then Paul and Marilyn said similar, that Chris was basically mother and father. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. I just found it odd, like he was sewing a seed to the detective, which no doubt he was doing throughout the whole interview.

Sounds like Chris doing a bit of his own PR again... it's an odd thing, but haven't we heard this particular premise before, under similar circumstances?.. Baden-Clay turned himself inside out in the witness stand, trying to promote himself as the re incarnation of Dr Truby King, an ancient childcare tyrant from times past...

Gerard almost had us believing he breast fed, such was his flight of fancy regarding his 'parental skill'....

As the evidence showed, without possible argument, he murdered his kids mother in front of them, then left them at home in the dark while he hurled her body over the Kholo Bridge... not that parentally skilled, after all.

Same with Dawson, C.. . with his preferred sexual targets being underage girls, it was only a matter of time, people. .. His daughters,, his nieces, and that goes ditto for Paul. …. Some things are so obvious.

Assuming they don't find anything, I trust police will stick to their edict that they have enough to proceed anyway (without a body).

breaking news is, they haven't found anything of any consequence......what happens next, I don't know.

Those three, Chris, Paul, and Marilyn know that Lynn's body isn't where the police were searching, and , it seems , are in no hurry to say where it is. One day, though... one day.

Love it K-mac thanks. They really were full of themselves. Obviously Chris' knee operation didn't go as well for him as Paul's as was evident in recent videos.
On a serious note I now wonder about the well being of all those students.

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 himself hopefully o_O

gotten away with it this long can the bluff keep keeping on????

Hard to predict. My hope, based on nothing but a short experience of twin men, ( only one set, too, a very limited research pool ) is that one will kick the chair out from under the other in an unrelated conflict. .. and blab.

They could both take this to the grave . It isn't improbable..

I just don't get it. What about the buried bloodied cardigan? Where's Lyn?

You made me listen to the episode called the System again.

This is what I am summarising from the first 15 - 20 minutes.
Bob Gibbs was talking about the cardigan. Was in 4 panels and had hardly deteriorated at all but the twining holding the panels together had caused the cardigan to be in panels. It was wool or cashmere.

The multiple cut marks were consistent with stabbing. It stated it was consistent with knife marks in a domestic stabbing. Julie Andrews a neighbour said that she had seen Lyn in the cardigan and it probably wasn't mentioned in the Coroner's inquest.

Theory about Lyn being buried with the cardigan on and it being taken off and the body was dug up and the cardigan being cut off with garden sheers. Bob Gibbs felt it had just fallen apart from the seams.

Hedley asked if the cardigan would be stained. The reply was blood could have dissolved with rain and in the soil.

The expert said if the cardigan was removed after they would expect more DNA. Not removed while decomposing. High DNA contact.

As with most of the episodes it is worth listening to again.

you have got me keen for a rerun on it too .
the cardy is such a big part of the mystery .
stab marks in a cardigan belonging to the woman who lived there who has gone missing ...deliberately buried in the garden. ….
wonder if they doing something new with it, forensics are always improving.o_O

we could use bones and booth right about now!:p

The Cardy…. to me.. it is a significant signpost that Chris didnt think of everything.... I have tried and tried to go back thru the Met weather reports for that day, on the Northern Beaches, with no luck, and it's hard to judge these days by those days , it is much hotter, now, but back then, believe it or not, it wasn't unusual to get a bit of a breeze up in January, where by Lynn may have had a cardy on that day.

He could have cut it up in spite, he had a lot of that in him, from what I gather. He must have, to keep her family so gutted for so long. But overall, it isn't improbable to see that cardigan as part of her murder, and discarded carelessly in the frenzy of the event.
