My ten cents worth..
He was brought in yesterday after the interview he did with newspaper. Perhaps a couple of things are slightly different to the original statement. Maybe more detail than original statement..
The thing that gets me.. is it is quite a detailed story with the newspaper.
In fact it’s very detailed… from sleeping in, to melting down about clothes, to no make up on.. wearing his tracksuit.. smashed tv.. duffle bag…stolen $5k…that’s a lot of info.
Initial police report when first missing - on side of road with suitcase.
Why wasn’t it released by police last seen on airport drive with large duffle bag.. where has suitcase come from?
Which is fact.. ??? did she have a duffle bag or a suitcase???
Because there is a big difference between the two.
There’s no doubt when anyone sleeps in for a flight they get stressed and can get worked up I know I do.
That sounds plausible.
Some of the detailed story I find ‘unusual’
I find it hard to understand any young girl off to see her boyfriend after a while wouldn’t have already worked out what they were going to wear! So I’m struggling a bit with wearing his tracksuit pants..
Just seems a bit unusual. T’s pants sure but his.. I dunno
Why have we not heard about $5k and jewellery being taken 4 days before disappearance.. sure if a housemate stole that you wouldn’t still have them in the house 4 days later and be driving them to airport…again that’s a bit unusual.
Have we heard previously of tv being smashed due to sleeping in?
To me some of these details should investigations reveal HE may be involved in some way. Give an already prepared answer to some of the following.

What I absolutely didn’t like in his newspaper story was creating a picture for readers that PB was known for outbursts.. eratic behaviour, smashing TV alluding to being unstable…a thief.. stealing money..
to me it was not just about what I’ve mentioned above but also about him painting a picture of himself.. how patient he was with this eratic teen.. how caring - here take my trackpants… how forgiving… stole from me and still took her to airport.

The only problem I have, is I can also entertain the possibility he could be telling partial truths, or even crazy as it sounds, telling the truth.
Pheobe's own aunt has described her similarly.
Is it *possible* if not *likely* she was actually involved with someone else other than the high school boyfriend? Saw a chance, took it and left?
The environment the poor girl was living in was beyond horrible. If it was also a "party house", I can only imagine the sorts of people who were coming there to "party". I mean, it wasn'y for wine and cheese, or even something a few steps past that. The place looks like the town dump. Now we hear they allegedly had $5k in cash laying around, but they also had multiple dead puppies whose remains they couldn't sort how to properly dispose of? Who DOES that?
My mind is a bit stuck here. These two idiots have possibly, maybe likely, killed Pheobe or know what happened, yet the case is still open, but they couldn't even bury or arrange for their own dogs to be buried? Their addled minds thought the solution to the smell of rotting puppies was to close the windows? And Pheobe's life otherwise was so bad, OR she was so stubborn or so caught up in who knows what that she thought staying with dead puppies and who knows what else was the best/only solution??? She never told anyone about this that we know of, right?
I personally cannot hone in too much on diffferences like "luggage" vs duffel bag. I think that is minor. I also think a kid who is struggling is probably more likely to get their hands on a duffel. Less expensive, someone else might have had one and given it to her. When JW said it was a "duffel the size of her", yes that is creepy in the context of a missing person, but it also could simply mean she's 6ft tall and it was a big bag. People do say things like that. It is like saying I ate a sandwich the size of my head.
I'm not defending the flatmates. They're disgusting. Only trying to work out every angle here, and I find it interesting that they're still out free.

The comment of duffel size of her yeah I think that’s his way of saying it was large. Weird way to put it..under the circumstances but there’s lots that appears odd about this dude.
Just want to add to the luggage suitcase v duffel discussion (sorry if stating the obvious) that if foul play was involved and Pheobe had indeed packed basically all the possessions she'd want to start over with, the perpetrators would have to hide her luggage too in any case.
Scenario 1, the duffel bag was used to dispose of her after something happened within the property. They'd still have to also hide her luggage to make it look like she'd left. That's so much stuff to dispose of.
Scenario 2, something happened to her in the car. They would have to dispose of a 6ft body AND all her luggage.
Scenario 3, she really did end up walking towards the airport with a duffel bag and something else happened. Same logistical issue.
Just thinking about the sheer amount of work that would be, having to dispose of a body plus all her worldly possessions, unplanned. I find it hard to believe LE haven't found any trace of anything. I wonder if there is a mix-up between her having a bag or having a suitcase because a suitcase is also missing. As in, if the duffel bag contains a body, they also would have had to ditch a full suitcase of possessions.

Yeah suppose so. I just don’t see how even if he’d made a mistake they’d be any where close to PBs size.To be fair I have brand new pants that are too small for me

I’m certain he would’ve retrieved it if he knew after he arrived home…if Pheobe was still alive. Perhaps he’s mighty angry that he has possibly disposed of her body/luggage in a place or method that prevents him retrieving the money if he knows details of her possible death. The tracksuit pants are significant. JW is either telling the truth and PB happily put them on despite being worried how she would look, being in a rush, no make up, according to JW. Or perhaps because when PB is located, living or not, that is what she will be wearing or have in her possession. They could equally be a murder weapon. If they turn out to be the murder weapon, it would not surprise me for it to turn out there is a SA/R element to whatever has happened in the house that morning / previous night.
The smashed TV significance and JW explanation for it is less clear. Either he is telling the truth and PB smashed the TV. Or something else has occured resulting in the smashed TV. You would assume that the police would have carried out any forensic work on the TV for anything like blood, although a struggle would not necessarily result in blood shed, for example if the TV has just been knocked over.
The make up bag is significant. Either JW is telling the truth and PB was going to do her makeup in the car, or as he later says, in the restrooms at the airport, indicating that she still had no make up on during the journey to the airport. Or, it explains why, when PB is found, alive or not, why she may have TB make up bag in her possession, or why she may not be wearing any make up.
The leaked text messages and 5K stolen and jewellery are significant. Either JW is telling the truth, which provides explanation as to how PB could be alive and surviving without using bank account, but simultaneously provides a motive as to why he should be viewed as a suspect. IF they had stopped on Airport Drive (and it would be the Takalvan Street side as they hadn’t made it to the airport yet) there isn’t really anywhere to pull over. Also at the time of the morning it would be quite busy so someone would have seen it. If you continue down Airport Drive it leads to an Industrial area. These are all relatively busy zones

I’m probably the 20th person to rehash this but the 8:30AM timestamp for everything just makes no sense. It was established here that she probably planned to catch the 10:10AM flight, so MSM mentioning an “8:30AM” flight time is likely not accurate. But her official “last seen” time at Airport Drive in the first few reports is 8:30, Daily Mail article from yesterday states that the phone call to her bf (BEFORE leaving home) happened at 8:30??? And in JW’s own account, full of other details that don’t really seem necessary, he doesn’t actually mention the time that they last saw her when she “disappeared” from the car?
The problem I have with scenario 1 - is that wasn’t she captured on cctv in the car on the way to the airport ? Was she alive ?
I am unsure if the cctv footage shows the car or it shows her in the car .
If she was alive & in the car on the way to airport then , then something happened to her after that .

They would have been keen to know what exactly luggage did PB have with her?
They will say please give exact details so we can ask for help from the general public.
Instead of saying oh a wee pink rolley case JW has had to say oh a huge grey duffel bag. At this point he's been forced to mention an enormous grey holdall because he's paranoid and doesn't know what LE have or not.
The journalist would have pointedly said 'oh wow something as big as PB herself then?' because they're trying to provoke, trigger, force
We only see JW's words exactly how he said them because it would have been recorded and of course we don't get to know all the probing questions.
It is probably in this case that journalist(s) work very tightly with detectives and ditto members of the local community. They've got him pinned down. He can't go anywhere or do anything. He's a stuck pig.

Per yesterday's DM article: "We drove around and as far as we thought she could have made it and then drove a bit further in case." they didn't think she could have made it to the terminal just a few hundred metres away???
Hey I’m not sure if anybody remembers this but earlier in the case there was mention of PB having a local boyfriend a lot older than her who was physical with her? And she was escaping to WA. Admin please remove it not allowed but does anybody recall seeing this in the media?
