Is there a connection to PB stepfather and that of JW ?
Just surmising that could it be both housemates are known to PB family through work colleagues. 🤔

"Police dogs and rescue helicopter Lifeflight
have joined the intensive search for missing teenager Pheobe Bishop,
who disappeared more than a week ago.

SES are working with police to scour dense bushland in Good Night Scrub National Park,
360 kilometres north of Brisbane.

The search of the dense bushland began on Friday,
with police divers also searching waterways in the area."

OK
I decided to dig deeper into the name of this particular National Park

"Goodnight Scrub is a national park in Queensland, Australia, 274 km northwest of Brisbane.

It is located

in the locality of Good Night
which is split between the Bundaberg Region
and the North Burnett Region local government areas,

but is predominantly in the Bundaberg Region part of the locality.

The park covers an area of 66.7 square kilometres (25.8 sq mi) of land within the Burnett River water catchment

and the South East Queensland bioregions.

At the southern extent of the park is the Paradise Dam.

Goodnight Scrub National Park protects dry rainforest predominated by hoop pine.

Camping is not permitted in the park.

No walking tracks are provided,
however there are fire trails."

And...

"Good Night is a rural locality
(geographic subdivision).

It is also written as Goodnight.

In the 2021 census,
Good Night had a population of 151 people."

So,
the mystery (for me) is clear.
One definition doesn't exclude the other, provided by posters.

In fact,
they complement each other.

i think it might have been this one, not sure if related to PB tho 😊 mundubbera ways Burnett river.
Looks like you were spot on ThePineapple. That helicopter is Lifeflight and it’s flight path looks as if it has been searching, for a good few hours at that!

The flight map doesn’t have town names, but you can see the outline of the National Park from the map that @essareem kindly posted earlier matches the flight map.

I also noticed this one in another bush area not far - it hasn’t been named as a location of interest but is in the vicinity and I’m guessing they might have widened their search or could be someone else needing help but same helicopter 🚁

I doubt there'd be much of a queue at Bundaberg to fly to Brisbane. It's a small regional airport.

If you're checking in baggage, arrive 30 minutes before the flight. If you're flying carry-on, even less, but you'd need to check-in online to be safe.

The fact that the house and car were declared crime scenes days ago is a very strong indication one or both of the flat mates are indeed involved

Nine News Qld (TV) tonight saying that multiple “items of interest” have been found in the area they are intensifying the search…… wonder if they may have found PB’s luggage or some of it possibly??

Exactly.

May 15

No CONFIRMED phone call made to the b/f

ONLY that her phone was detected the morning of May 15

Police also confirm PB did not make it to the airport

Police said her housemates were the last to see her when they said they dropped her outside Bundaberg Regional Airport at 8.30am.

"Police have reviewed CCTV from the airport, which indicates that she did not enter the terminal," Thompson said.

"We're quite confident that Phoebe didn't make it to the airport."

“Her phone has been switched off from this point. She hasn’t contacted anyone at all, no one has seen her.”

May 16 PB mother put out a plea for anyone who has seen PB to contact police.
And who sighted her in a green tank and grey sweats carrying luggage it wasn’t cctv.
Anyway could claim at this stage.

Where is the factual based reliable evidence.
Everything is a mishmash.

They clearly have intelligence around what’s taken place.
Yet one day they state they found items of significance then the next they retract that the journalists are a mess

Police are appealing for anybody who has at the park on May 15 to get in touch, especially if they saw a grey Hyundai ix35.

And in your article kindly linked above, there is also this sentence….

The car is understood to be central to the investigation.

IMO the Police know a whole lot more than they are saying, and they know already, the car was at the National Park that day….. they are pouring in resources to sadly find PB’s body…..

There is most likely a Police Media Strategy in play ….. in so many Australian cases like this, the media only release what the Police want released at that point in time….

But they actually know so much more that is usually released at the time of an arrest and after the Police Press Conference ….

We have in the past, seen Police publically acknowledge and thank the media during the presser, for holding onto information until it was time to release all the details …

Hard to know who to believe!

Friday 23rd
“On Friday night, police announced they had discovered an item of potential interest in the national park.

Detective Acting Inspector Thompson said at the time the police diving squad searched a creek.

'Police have subsequently been conducting some searches of the Good Night Scrub National Park in the hopes of finding some evidence in relation to her disappearance,' he said.

'There are no specific persons of interest, however, police are following up all avenues of enquiry.'

Police did not say if the item that was found was connected to Pheobe.”

Saturday 24th
“Yesterday, they were seen removing items from the bush.

Police have not confirmed what the brown evidence bags contained, or whether it was linked to Pheobe's disappearance.”

Sunday, 25th
“Police have been searching for Ms Bishop in bushland and waterways in the Good Night Scrub National Park.

The operation, which has involved members of the dive squad, has not yet located any items of interest according to the latest update from police.

On Saturday, items were seen being collected by forensic police in brown evidence bags.

It is not yet known if those items are connected to the case.”

Pheobe's mum Kylie Johnson said on social media on Friday (23 May) that it was 'getting harder to breathe' without her daughter, who she described as 'strong-willed and [has] followed her own beat to life'.

"Phee is the sunflower in a field full of wildflowers. She is an essential part of our lives and we need her home," the distraught mum said in a statement on behalf of the family.

"We need to hear her music, feel her hugs and hear her voice. You can't tame Phee's spirit, empathy or fight for life. She is sassy, feisty and loves harder than anyone I've ever meet.

Amidst the woodland searches by officers, Pheobe's mother issued a heartfelt statement: "Who is Pheobe? Phee has always been strong willed and followed her own beat to life.

"I've always called her my 'Wild Gypsy Banshee'.

"I've told everyone since Phee's birth that she's the one I always expected to call me from overseas saying, 'hey Mumzie mate; I'm in Amsterdam and checking in'.

"You can't tame Phee's spirit, empathy or fight for life. She is sassy, feisty and loves harder than anyone I've ever meet."

ONLY 2 people knew what she was wearing that day
What she was wearing was relayed to the police and her family

There has been a lot of info that has been amended in the papers since the start of this missing persons case. It happens ALL the time.

Makes it confusing for the public as things move along.
And for people who have just picked up the story at a certain point in time, previous information read in newspapers or heard on television broadcasts at the start of some of these cases that others have witnessed, gets totally thrown out the window. Such is the media.
No media outlet is any better than the other, they all pad up stories and exclude things previously mentioned in earlier broadcasts.

The police dont tell the media everything , only what they want the perpetrators to know I guess.

As @SLouTh said, usually at the end of a case the police thank the Press for playing along.

Firstly, they revealed that there were four dead dogs found in the house.

Secondly, they noted the horrific stench emanating from the house.

And they also found a strange derelict bus parked outside their property with the words "Let it ride" written on it.

In another shocking twist, it was revealed that Bromley is currently facing unrelated charges for possessing a sawn-off shotgun, as well as a flick knife in public.

It is not exactly clear why the teenager had been living with the couple but social media posts she made before her disappearance suggested Pheobe has fallen out with her mum
