Australia Australia - Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a scheduled flight from a Queensland Airport. Last seen Airport Drive, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025

Not quite correct at Bundy airport. There is a passenger dropoff/pickup thoroughfare that you access directly from airport drive. Dropping PB off in this area would have cost an additional minute or two and exited the vehicle northbound directly. As someone that regularly uses this airport, being dropped off on airport drive makes zero sense to me.

Why are assuming it was a Qantas flight? Has that been reported somewhere? There is a daily flight from Bundy to Brisbane at 0925 via Link airways. This fits much better with the timeline.
Yes, the Link flight works better for an 8:30am drop-off. However, there are no flights to Perth from Link, so she'd need to change airlines in Brisbane and timing wise, that may be tricky. I saw her flight being confirmed as the 10:10am flight somewhere else on the thread.

IMO

In many homicide cases, perpetrators may hastily conceal a victim's body in a remote location, such as scrubland, covering it partially with natural materials. This initial concealment is often due to panic or the immediate need to distance themselves from the crime scene. Later, they might return to the site to bury the body more thoroughly in an attempt to prevent discovery.

Forensic investigations have documented such practices. For instance, a study published in Forensic Science International discusses the challenges of locating and analysing clandestine graves, noting that bodies are sometimes initially concealed and later buried more deeply to hinder detection.

Thankyou. I'm aware of the information. I just wanted a link to back it up.

“Detectives are also investigating reports the 17-year-old was seen arguing with the driver of a car before she was kicked out.”

“Police say Pheobe’s housemates had been due to drop her to the airport.

Phoebe was last seen at about 8.30am on May 15 at Airport Drive in Bundaberg.”

Pheobe Bishop, 17, was last seen at Airport Drive outside Bundaberg Regional Airport about 8.30am on May 15. (Queensland Police)

Link offers connecting flights to Perth via Virgin.

Link offers connecting flights to Perth via Virgin Australia. I think it's a lot more feasible to assume this was the flight. This is part of the critical timeline as the hour in between the Link and Qantas flight is possibly when the crime occured in accordance with the report that PB was sighted the morning of the flight. I also find it EXTREMELY suspicious that a person would drive all the way from Gin Gin to BDB only to drop the passenger off on Airport Drive. There are no footpaths along this road and dropping someone off would require performing a U turn to get back to the main road or utilizing the roundabout right in front of the drop off zone-which is about 50m long with plenty of room to drop off and rarely busy. Again, it is important to acknowledge this as it is not possible to exit the airport in a vehicle once making the turn into the airport without being captured on CCTV. Either the drivers knew this and fabricated the Airport Dr dropoff story as a cover-up. Or, they never made it to Airport drive at all. Effectively, this could mean the difference between murder that is premeditated or murder which was reactionary (not that there is any legal difference in QLD).

New article here

Leaked messages from the housemate of missing teen Pheobe Bishop have emerged after she vanished without a trace in Queensland.

So JW was questioned by LE because he’s male and looks the way he does. Not because he is housemate of PB and last person to see her alive! Wondering why it took him 8 hours to respond to the message

Does this woman (TB) belong to some gang dealing with illegal weapons?

I mean,
what's the matter with all these weapons & ammo (explosives) found by Police?

Does anybody remember the report when a neighbor complained about noisy parties there?
Oh, and also a girl screaming at 5 am.
Police was even called, but I'm not sure they arrived.
(It was mentioned in early reports)

I'm absolutely shocked the minor girl lived there.

I found this:

"She said living next door to the couple had become 'horrible' as she had to deal with regular noise from parties.

Last week she had made a complaint to council and RSPCA about their 'howling dog'."

Neighbours from hell 😐

Supermarket staff have claimed missing Australian teen Pheobe Bishop appeared desperate for food and 'looked like no one owned her' before she disappeared 10 days ago.

But an IGA supermarket worker, who did not want to be identified, told Daily Mail Australia Pheobe visited the store on several occasions 'looking worse for wear with no money'.

'Why aren't questions being asked about what happened to that poor child 10 weeks before this? Where were her parents?' the worker asked.

The visibly angry staffer said Pheobe 'looked like no one owned her' and was desperate for food, often 'short changing' them 'to the point that I paid for her'.

I see that now. I’m not in Australia. I still don’t think he’s as innocent as everyone thinks he is. DV is mostly perpetuated by males on females. PB was in a family environment with them. We don’t know much yet but I am relatively sure he was involved

That’s right, statistically men are more likely to perpetrate violence against women than the other way around - no ifs, no buts.

Also, a very ‘good’ or shall I say, skilled, perpetrator will make it look as though the woman or the victim is the instigator, the cause, the problem. They use systems to control the narrative and enhance their own reputation. So I don’t believe for a minute that TB having all the charges and criminal history by default means that she is the “worse” one or is the problem or the perpetrator and JW is an innocent party.

On a side note, do we know what the court outcome was today for TB? I know last night police bail was refused and she was held in court today but I wonder what the Magistrate decided for her bail today - assuming the matter was adjourned.
If she was held in custody til next court date - which she should have been really given the seriousness of the charges and bail history - I dare say this was tricky (clever) Police work to separate PB and JW and provide the opportunity for some recorded conversations when she calls him. I imagine they’d be squirming about and discussing QPS media release update today whereby they mentioned they believe some evidence has been moved.

If this is true then my question would be how did PB go from starving and broke to having money for flights and presumably spending money too? Did she get involved in something nefarious to make money

And if it was a text, it seems very common for people to send texts from a victim's phone to act like the person is still alive when they are not.

It has happened in countless cases. imo

Eg: the recent case of Frances Crawford where her husband conducted a text conversation between their two phones - the conversation is thought to have happened after he (allegedly) killed Frances.

I am so glad you highlighted this case in here. That situation is diabolical and I can't believe there isn't more media coverage around it. Very very sad. Poor Frances.

If she was held in custody til next court date -
The Courier Mail reports that TB broke down crying as Magistrate McInnes said he would adjourn the matter to May 27, until more information could be presented to the court.

The article also states that these fresh charges come one week after TB appeared before the same court for similar weapons charges on May 12.

I absolutely don’t believe in anything out of the ordinary. In fact it scares the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 out of me. Tonight I have had two very weird things happen. Very loud screeching noises to the point I’ve checked on my children. Both after commenting on social media posts. I know how crazy this sounds but I think I need to bow out. I’m not built for that 🤣
Hey mate are you local to the area?

I think she went without as she was saving & the trip was important to her. I desperately wish she ran away but I don’t think so.

Yes been following poor Frances case since the start. I’d forgotten about the text messages RC faked allegedly. The fact that he’s a pilot and presumably a flight risk plus has ‘contacts’ all over the world makes it all the more amazing he got bail.IMO

I’m sure they’ve been recording/ listening to their conversations for a while now.
Unfortunately, it’s common knowledge now that during questioning and/ or search of these premises, listening devices will be planted.
Hence the reason for advertising the evidence found in the forest.
Let’s hope they’ve been talking.

The worried friend said they had their 'fingers crossed for her' and questioned the whereabouts of any CCTV that may help with the investigation.

'Surely the airport has footage,' they asked, before Mr Wood replied the following morning.

'I don't know ayy but how's this cause I was one of the last people to see her alive cops basically asked me if I did her in or hurt her at all ayy,' he said.

Mr Wood was questioned by police last week after Phoebe vanished, but was released without charge.

Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting he was involved or considered a suspect - only that police had spoken to Mr Wood after Pheobe went missing.

Mr Wood told the friend he was frustrated that the police asked those questions.

'I was like WTF, so yeah that's nice to know that purely because I'm a male and look the way I do.'

Mr Wood has offered a reward for anyone who can reveal her location.

'Any little bit of information can help, please if you know something, please contact her family,' Mr Wood wrote on social media.
