GUILTY Australia - Terence Darrell Kelly, charged w/ abduction of 4 y.o., WA, 16 Oct 2021 #2

IIRC, the owner of the shack with the camera said that he had often seen TK at the campground driving a 4 wheel drive, so this would be a third vehicle that he has been driving. Can't provide the reference as it is in the closed threads.

I just noticed this reference to TK driving his blue Mazda, when he was arrested. I thought in the dash cam video that it was a sedan, and not the Mazda SUV? I have not seen this reference before. I think the article is wrong? Unless the LE did drive the SUV back to TK's duplex and make it secure, so that forensic testing could take place.... rather than leaving it on the side of the road where he was arrested?

Kelly was stopped by police at 11.24pm that night while driving in his blue Mazda SUV down Robinson Street - the same street as the TAB - and arrested over the disappearance of CS.

Witnesses said two women were in the car with Kelly when police swooped.

He was pulled over and arrested while driving, reportedly with two women

Forensics return to Terence Kelly’s home in search for fingerprints

Forensics officers have returned to the home of the man accused of kidnapping CS to see if a chemical sprayed inside the property has revealed any fingerprints of interest.

The team arrived at Terence Kelly’s Tonkin Crescent home in Carnarvon about 9am on Thursday carrying gear inside.

They had earlier used the chemical Superfume to turn up any latent fingerprints at the scene.

The West Australian understands that once the review is done, the forensic process at the home will be signed off as complete.

It comes as The West Australian revealed that police had not yet found the sleeping bag that was also missing from the tent when CS was allegedly abducted.

Mr Kelly’s home has been under police guard for nine days, with forensics at the home the entire time apart from on Wednesday when the chemical was developing.

As no one has reported that TK has ever worked in his life so IMO he could be on a Government pension (maybe a disability of some type). I am now wondering if PW did everything for him and when she died, he was given a Care Worker who came in to do his cleaning and so on.

Disability is like winning the welfare lotto and almost impossible to get, I'm thinking it would not have been too difficult to stay on Newstart forever in Carnarvon where opportunities are limited, he would have had to just front up for a few of those training courses every now and again.

I believe that the blue Mazda 5 SUV is a 4 wheel drive.

Maybe that is why he is so good with his computer skills.

Neighbour of CS's kidnap accused Terence Kelly moving out, fearing vigilante attacks

“100 per cent sure they will come here and smash the house.”

The neighbour of accused CS kidnapper Terence Kelly is so scared of what will happen once police leave the area that he’s packing up and leaving.

Ever since the four-year-old girl was allegedly found at Kelly’s home, 18 days after she went missing, there has been a strong police presence at the Carnarvon property.

Detectives and forensic officers have been at the Tonkin Street house each day, but security guards have also protected the house from vandalism or vigilante attacks while Kelly is in custody and police carry out their work.

Kelly’s neighbour believes once police and security guards leave, the duplex complex could become the target of “revenge” attacks and vandalism.

“The house will be smashed,” he told 7NEWS.

“A lot of people are disappointed and angry about what has happened, so there’s a greater chance that once the police are gone, we expect something will happen.

As he was packing up on Thursday, Kelly’s neighbour showed 7NEWS through his property - a mirror image, he says, of the home next door where CS was allegedly kept captive.

The two bedrooms are positioned away from the common wall, which is barely even sound-proofed, with just fibro and a timber frame separating the living rooms of the two properties.

Has anyone brought up the possibility that the guy who has been arrested dressed up as a female and played “mama” with the child? I mean he was apparently obsessed with dolls.
I am kind of leaning towards that but it is baffling because of the very long scruffy beard he had when arrested.

In some of his FB pictures, clean shaven, he looks very feminine and could easily pass for a female. But how fast did he grow that scruffy beard?

I don’t understand the he’s “incapable” of caring for her. He has long hair, it appears to be washed and brushed in his pics, could he not do the same for a child? He can put his own hair into a ponytail, why not hers? Could he not draw a bath and give her soap and tell her to wash? Sure she wouldn’t do as great a job as an adult, but how dirty could she get being stuck in the house for 18 days? Even playing in plain water could be good enough. All moo
Yes, and he has pet doggies he cares for. I am sure he feeds and waters them. So he is capable of feeding a 4 yr old. Maybe not as healthily as Mom would prefer---but he was seen in the market. Sandwiches, cereal, frozen waffles? Apples, bananas, juice boxes? That's all she'd need.

The media has led us to believe that TK has never had a driving licence so perhaps when he bought his new car, it was registered but IMO maybe he has not paid for the next year's registration. Perhaps that's why he often drives at night thinking he will get away with it as fewer police are on the roads then. Did LE remove his plates or did he? Which car was he driving on the night of the abduction? The silver car or the blue one? Why was he driving another person's car the night he was arrested? ALL IMO

BBM

I've not seen 'never' from an official, and agree very much with the wording 'led us to believe'

JMO It's possible that he held a licence before, and lost it temporarily (as a penalty for a crime such as drunk or drug driving) or had it revoked (temporarily or permanently) on medical grounds

Lengthy loss of licence would explain the cobwebs on his own car, and numberplates off, as the car would be off the road. MOO And if he was going to drive, as pointed out by Reneemaree88, he would be foolish to use his own car (whether he is guilty of this offence or not) as it's a small town, it would be spotted, including by police, all the time.

He wouldn't be able to hire without presenting a valid licence. That leaves borrowing or theft.

The police said earlier this week that they were not seeking a woman, but have not ruled out a second person. Has there been any update (I'm in a different time zone, so get out of synch)?

Wondering JMO, if that could be in connection with lending if the car, rather than active in the commission of the crime.

Highly likely they're destroyed, next option, he's given them away or they're in a charity bin. If these 2 items are never found, it does reveal he had the presence of mind to destroy evidence of a crime successfully, he needs a bit of smarts for that of which Barbara Graham believes he doesn't have.

I think his neighbours underestimated him and his abilities, he chose NOT to be friendly. They wanted to be invited into the house, they were too nosy? Ends up for good reason but they didn't follow through when his behaviour became suspicious and had suddenly changed. JMO

Agree 100%. You're a voice of reason!

Agreed, but I can hardly stand the thought of what must have been going through poor little CS's mind. She absolutely must have been terrified after all of those days without her Mom and family.

What could TK possibly have told her I wonder? Thank goodness it seems she has quite the strong spirit.

It’s really bizarre to be honest. From the dash cam footage the car is definitely a light silver. Good point about the driving at night. In all the reports it’s never said he has ever been in that car driving for a fact. Even the other neighbours said he was driving by weird but they never said which car. In my opinion I wonder if he has been getting help from his duplex neighbour, with the car..maybe even helping take care of CS. I don’t believe there is anyway that she didn’t hear anything through there joining walls, unless CS wasn’t there the whole time. But even still, you would hear talking, crying, laughing, screaming …everything. I can understand the other neighbours not hearing too much because there is a fair distance between there houses but when your in a duplex you share common walls. Also no one reported any other unusual cars in the area at the time or anyone other then neighbours being around.

I don't agree with this. Having lived in duplexes several times, I have never heard my neighbour except one time when they were removing a wall.

I keep thinking about this too. Her clothing could be burned but I’m quite sure sleeping bags are heavily treated with flame retardant or other fire safety features. It would be really hard to destroy. I don’t think it could be burned anywhere near the house without drawing a lot of attention. Imo much more likely he threw it away somewhere.

Sleeping bags aren't hard to burn at all.

Pretty sure someone is going to pack up those dolls, ....
I could be wrong but it sounded like it was governmental housing. I don't think his grandmother owned it. But perhaps because his name was possibly listed on the rental agreement he was entitled to live there (I'm speculating.)

I wonder how TK kept CS quite, did he drug her??? 18 days is a long time to keep a toddler entertained & quite at the same time.......

Phenergan is easily able to be obtained from any pharmacy. I wonder if the forensics took hair follicles for toxiocology?? I assume they would. Can show traces up to 3 months I think? Urine will detect recent drugs..............

The detective Cameron describes her as having lots of energy, how did TK handle that??

So many questions :(

I was thinking . He can’t be giving police any info or they would have found the sleeping bag

Therefore IMO he’s keeping Schtum to attempt to plead not guilty or to protect someone else.

His legal advice would surely be to plead guilty if the mountain of evidence was against him . He’s either sticking it out cos he’s obtuse like that or it is the latter ... he daren’t cooperate.

I think I need to stop thinking about this for awhile as when I consider how hard it must be for the family to putbthemsrlves back together

it’s NOT the same but I remember the first time I heard my children had been cared for my their dads new partner ( a completely nice person btw) I was devastated imagining her bathing them , feeding them, reading their bedside story ( yes jealous in my case ) but it hurt to think of others who I hadn’t met doing things for my babies

apparantly he was looking for work and did the building course to help with that, also i think the car was his grandmothers? i posted an article in the deleted thread which covered all this but cant find it now

I wonder if he could of cut up the sleeping bag and flushed it down the toilet or disposed of bits and pieces of it here and there, but seams like such an effort to get rid of the sleeping bag but keep the girl, so its quite weird that the sleeping bag was hid so well but CS in one of his bedrooms, I wonder what happened to the bond's one piece onsie she was wearing

According to Google $1350 aus = approx $1000 American.
IMO that's just enough money to buy necessary daily items. The money would quite strictly have to managed (if he was buying gas for example everyday.) Food, electricity, entertainment, I just don't see how he can afford anything else without a side hussle. Again my own opinion but I don't see how entertainment can be afforded on this budget. I could be totally wrong as well. Please correct me if I am.

Wasn’t there someone upthread who was in a construction/building course with him. Very vague memory of this. Forgive if wrong.
