It seems as this juncture, LE are out of evidence, so they’re now ‘forced’ to delve into possibilities to further the investigation. If it’s in the wrong direction, there’ll be another large settlement coming I’d imagine.
Just imo.

It could be that simple, but if so - now very unlikely to solve.

Yes we said earlier the street bins were checked, but not wider.

So given this fact, the possibility remains - if a body was disposed of this way at the end of a brief drive, it's a very hard thing to solve, even a year later.

I can't believe the shambles / circus William's case has become & continues to be. If I was a loved one of William's, I'd not be happy with the way this case has been handled.

I wonder if there has ever been a case where the Coroner has not heard from the Lead detective or even not take their statement as a whole??

I expect the inquest next week to be short IMO

I also wonder how different the Coroner's findings will be to what she would have handed down way back in June 2021!

Not much is my guess.

Let’s say FA hasn’t been completely ruled out, and who really knows 100% at this point.

Geoff Owen visited FGM’s home in the week before William went missing IIRC, to quote on a decking repair job. During the visit did he become aware that the Millers, owners of the property next door were away on holidays?

This comes up in a conversation between GO and FA. Frank heads down Benaroon Drive to case the Miller’s property on the 12th. A possible link between FA & Benaroon Drive.

Very easy to imagine.

TBH I think the police have given up on ever finding any evidence on what happened to William.
FA, PS and all the other creeps and murderers in the area just too hard now, given how hard NSWPol stuffed it in the first 2 years.

It’s actually worse than that, the coroner has basically said she doesn’t want to hear from NSWPol. That they’re not going to bring any evidence, or matters of fact.

This whole podcast series certainly doesn’t reflect well on NSWPol. From commissioner down.

Dan says that the Coroner asked for a statement of facts from Laidlaw. And all she got was a statement of opinions.

Why am I not surprised!

I have listened to the latest podcast twice now (not sure why I put myself through one part of it twice tbh).
One thing I found interesting and not seen mentioned anywhere is:
There was at least a year of surveillance on the foster parents including hidden cameras, microphones and their mobile phones 'tapped'. We know this and no surprise.
In that year the foster parents discussed putting illegal bids on the property they were selling (and were taken to court for it as a result of recordings). Again, we know this.
In that year the foster parents had some 'altercations' with William's sister (and were taken to court for it as a result of recordings). This we also know.
So one could conclude that they had no clue they were being recorded??
Was there nothing about what happened to William? No discussions that could incriminate them for William? I'm asking here SPECIFICALLY about William (the other matters put aside for my point here). No one seems to be asking this question in all the forums so keen to see the foster parents blamed.
After all, that is why we are all here? What does that say to you?

The Coroner said at the end of the last session that they have tentative dates booked for the week 16-20th Dec.

Police wanted to re-call the FFC & told them to make a submission, I assume they did ( or maybe they decided not to ) & she denied it again, so as you said nothing else left for her to hear really.

Bring on the findings!

A date will be set, the findings will be delayed, in three years' time she'll either open another tranche or retire.
