Treena has taken too long with her closing.

Is there a time limit on the closing arguments?

This seems like it is going a little long... an hour and 20 minutes so far. The judge is definitely going to need to give the jury a break to stand up and stretch, maybe use the bathroom.

Did I miss Treena saying that Lori did not call 911 when she heard the gunshot? Did Treena bring up the two calls between Lori and Alex before Alex called 911?.

I wish someone in the courtroom would report on what the jury is doing. Are any of them nodding off? They just ate lunch before this.

Yes

She highlighted both.

This should be more concise. No need to put a finger in every potential hole in the dike that an individual juror may try to open. There are 12 jurors and most of them are likely reasonable. Deliberations allow those reasonable jurors to respond to holes other jurors may attempt to open.

Oh boy, the judge, had to interrupt. Court reporter needs a break.

This is too long for everyone.

She's made every point three times.

(She said she has fewer than 5 minutes left. )

I can't speak for thr jury but I quit summarizing because it was repetitive and tedious.

I had said before that think the state’s closing arguments are going to be the ticket for a guilty verdict and that they’ll wrap it up with a bow in a nice cohesive package, but this is a bit long winded. 😬
I really hope the jury hasn’t tuned her out or dozed off. Especially given the fact that the majority are male, and are digesting lunch.

Closing: CV was never in possession of that bat. He was executed for LVD's benefit.

Whew, it is done.

15 minute recess.

I'm going out to play Kick Ball.

Thank you for all you did Megnut. It is very helpful, but I know what you mean. It was very repetitive.

I saw someone say that someone in court was snoring. hope I’m wrong. it was almost me and I am at home!

It was twice the length it needed to be, twice the length it should have been.

But she did walk through the charges and laid that part out clearly.

LVD had a dominant role in this.

There was no self-defense.

There was premeditation.

LVD provoked the incident.

There was no basis for deadly force, certainly none for a second shot.

Motive is clear.

Mostly good closing argument, but way too long. Treena had all weekend and should have worked harder at tightening it up and showing her trust in jurors by avoiding repetition.

While I'd hoped for a guilty conviction by end of the day, I think we are now going into tomorrow.

Treena kept confusing Alex and Adam. I was told she has been a prosecutor for 25 years. hard for me to believe. Just liked Lindsey Blake so much more. remember the cheesy eggs?
