AZ - Lori Vallow Daybell charged w/ conspiring to kill ex-husband Charles Vallow and another relative, Brandon Boudreaux, Chandler, Maricopa County #4

This jury is predominantly male. I'm not sure if they are interested in Mormon smut.
It was said there's quite a few older males on the jury so even if one is smitten with LVD I don't see how they defend her actions to other jurors w/o making it obvious they're not thinking with their upper brains.
imo

I think it's promising that the women made it through. Totally stereotyping here, but I think men would go in and blow through to a verdict. Women will slow them down, point out details and make them think a little more. Hopefully. But you never know.

Also, blowing through it to get to a verdict and be done could be good if it's guilty!

The odds are the majority of jurors are parents and/or grandparents.

My fear is that there is one person on the jury who just might say, "Yeah, but there really isn't a solid connection that proves Alex and Lori conspired." It might be the literal type of person. If it is not black and white or a straight line between A and B, they won't see the connection enough to convict her.
Again, I want to stress I have Casey Anthony Post Traumatic Verdict Disorder. Seriously. No matter how good a case is, I now stress to the point of losing sleep that it is not good enough, the bad person will go free.
In this case, if there is a hung jury, they will retry. No matter what, Lori has three consecutive life sentences she has to serve in Idaho. I hold on to that.
CaseyAnthony upended the system and justice, I think, for all of us, but I think LVD isn't walking away from this trial without a life sentence. Even if the entire jury fell asleep during the State's closing  repetition recitation, LVD's closing was short and I'm positive the jury will have heard every wird of it, especially the part where she said she "wasn't mad" that CV changed the beneficiary of his life insurance to not-her. Because they'll also remember her reaction on the phone -- she was anything but pleased. And they may note that LVD doesn't blow up when she's angry, she conspires. Bottom line, she lied to the jury.

She lied to the jury in an attempt to erase her motive for murder.

I hope the jurors stick around for a nice lunch and then return the verdict LVD deserves.

That woman is a death trap.

Nobody in their right mind could possibly be smitten with that hard awful woman.
Then again, you do have the demented among us....

Waiting with bated breath here...

What if you were on this jury and you did not find LVD guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, and then you learn out about her prior bad act for which she has been convicted? Can you imagine what a horrible feeling that would be? I’m not sure I could forgive myself. 😢

I have faith that the men on the jury honed in on her swapping around during these procedings from baby voice "save poor little me" to bitchy and nasty, and will have known, or known OF, such women personally, or through friends who do/did-- and will recognize her as a dangerous manipulator.

You got this, Jury!! 🤞 🤗

It came into evidence that LVD was married several times and the texts showed that not only was she having an affair, but she was using CV to bankroll it. I give more credit to men than others I guess because I can't see the men trusting her at all.

This is what I have on the mind constantly as well. And NO do-overs! 😬

I share your CAPTVD, but then I remind myself that Lori Vallow Daybell is no Jose Baez and there was no Cindy Anthony testifying here in an attempt to invalidate evidence.

That said, you just never know with jurors. There could be a Mark Means type who somehow gets wrapped up in some weird kind of codependent dynamic (rescuer of the baby-voiced little girl in curls up against the big, bad institutions of the state).

ETA: A person who thinks like that could hold the State to a standard above reasonable doubt on the conspiracy evidence and could blame the shooting, subsequent second shooting, and long time elapse before calling 911 entirely on AlexC.

Oh my gosh, my sister in law and I were discussing that. And if they do find her guilty, what will their responses be when they found out about her horrid past? I hope that some of the jurors eventually decide to do interviews.

Hopefully, the others will make that unfortunate gullible soul see the light 👍🤓

BBM:
Since both children were alluded to during the trial, JJ in the past tense hopefully the first question asked of any/all jurors who do interviews is did you question during deliberations where are the children and then what was the discussion that followed.

I was slightly concerned about the blonde "halo effect" (attractive people = good) when the jury was first selected, seeing that there were so many men chosen, but TBH, I would be shocked if any of them were at all "smitten" (or even slightly attracted to) LVD at this point.

IMO, LVD could have come into this trial and played the frightened-for-my-life damsel-in-distress role and garnered far more sympathy. She could emphasized the power dynamics between the non-working stay-at-home mom struggling to raise an autistic kid vs the muscular semi-pro athlete jet-setting breadwinner and the social dynamics of how the word of a male "priesthood holder" has more pull and influence within the LDS community. She could have suggested that the "nonchalance" others perceived was really just relief at being free from this constant threat to herself and her kids. She could have expressed regret over what happened, over what had become of their once-happy marriage, over the end result. But she didn't.

Not saying most of the jury would have bought it, but you may have had the chance of pulling in one or two men who'd make it their business to try to "rescue" her.

Instead, her cross-examinations alone came off as bitter, vindictive, jealous, and more concerned about protecting her own Ego than anything else. There was no warmth, no softness, no vulnerability in her demeanor. Just ugly, bitter anger and annoyance.
