British Bella May Culley 18, missing from Thailand, arrested in Georgia, May 2025

Well,
The problem is
lying should sound credible to be successful.

As we say in my country, it must
"have arms and legs" 🤣
Meaning,
that something should be sensible, logical, well thought out and ordered.

Within the realm of possibility.

JMO
Remember her lawyer's first words describing his client? "Not far from childhood". Nothing coming out of her mouth will have "arms and legs". He's going to have a hard time defending her.

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I just hope the attorney doesn't play the "corrupt cops" card. That would start a war between the "ex-soviet hellhole" and Thailand.

It actually made me really angry that the defendant dared to throw mud at another country's Officer.
How entitled mindset is this???
Aaaaargh

It's possible she has a mark somewhere, her shoulder maybe, from a hair straightener/curling iron. IMO she's been getting ideas on what to say from her fellow drug mule prisoners. Her solicitor might not even know what she's going to say or what ridiculous claims she's going to make. JMO

Yep.

The poor guy is saddled with an unpredictable and entitled defendant not exactly right in her head.

Hazard of the job!

Nevertheles,
it is his task to give advice and try not to turn the Court into a Circus.

Now, that will be hard, considering his client is a clown.

Again very bizarre she didn't mention this when first arrested. I wonder if there were cctv cameras in the area she begged Thai police for help? Or cctv of them returning her to her torturers? JMO
Just came across this on X:

"19-old Brit Bella May Culley is fighting to spin a story from inside the infamous Rustavi’s prison number 5 — but Thai authorities aren’t buying it. The young woman, now facing serious drug trafficking charges in Georgia, claims she was tortured and forced to smuggle narcotics out of Thailand. In court, she pointed the finger at Thai customs and border officers, painting herself as a victim of a cross-border crime ring. But on Wednesday, Thai immigration officials hit back hard. They flatly denied her claims and released damning CCTV footage that tells a very different story."

So, the gang she was referring to is the Thai police itself???

Jeez!
This defendant is a disaster on 2 legs.
Let's hope she won't start a war
Imagine accusing Thai Police Officers.

Honestly folks,
"stress free upbringing" at its worst.

I hate it when teenagers think adults are stupid.
This just bears repeating because nothing nails this chick and this thread more than this comment.

She thinks Thai police are just going to let that accusation lie? Oh honey no, they have this thing called CCTV these days…I love that they refuted her allegations, with proof.

And until someone other than her attorney or her, I.e., a Georgian official confirms it, I remain highly skeptical about the pregnancy.

And then the contradiction: "Her lawyer argued that she never knew the bag’s contents. Also, he said that “it was impossible” she carried the drugs knowingly. He said she was set up by unknown people."

Unknown people or the Thai Police? Or, was the lawyer trying to prevent her from being sued for false allegations?

The lies won't stop...

Good on the Thai Police. We already know she's a liar IMO, now we know just how big a liar and just how utterly stupid she is. She's dug herself a nice hole there's no getting out of. She would have been better off to stick to claiming she didn't know what was in the bags. JMO

Another contradiction: either she smuggled the drugs unknowingly, or was forced to do it by torture. You cannot have it both ways.

All the prosecution has to do during the trial is put Bella on the stand and she will promptly dig her grave with her own tongue.

The video shows Culley calmly walking through Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, using the automated passport control system. No signs of distress, no interaction with police, no help requested and no coercion.

Culley appeared in Tbilisi City Court on July 1. She showed a scar on her wrist. She claimed this was inflicted in Thailand during coercion.

<modsnip - quoted post was removed>

IMO
The sad thing is not stupidity
but
ARROGANCE.

The mindset of entitlement to throw accusations left & right.

OK,
I'm not her lawyer, but my advice would be:
- confess
- beg forgiveness of Georgian people who let her into their beautiful country with goodwill.

But instead she brought drugs there
to lure potential victims of addiction.

Out of base motive - to enrich herself.
To make money out of harm to others.

Doesn't she know one cannot build happiness and wealth on the injustice and suffering of others?

Imagine to welcome somebody into your home,
somebody who plots your harm!

So...
Ask for forgiveness
Express regret
Promise to do better in future

And then MAYBE the Judge will show some mercy.

I'd love to see footage from earlier in her travels, especially airport footage to see what sort of luggage she'd brought on this trip. Surely one would notice the difference in weight?

The sidebar along the right of that Thai Examiner story has a LOT of interesting stories about drug smugglers passing through. One was a 71-year-old Latvian guy going from Laos (pick up drugs) to Malaysia (drop off drugs) via Thailand. When he flew out of Thailand going to Laos, CCTV showed him with no luggage. When he came back to Thailand he checked in a bag for his flight to Malaysia. (Edited to note that the bag was stuffed with metal tubes stuffed with bags of heroin.)

Am I missing something? On Tuesday it was reported that she was 18 weeks pregnant. Then it was stated that she got pregnant when she met her friend in the Philippines, no? If she arrived in the Philippines after April 20th, that would only be approximately 10 weeks. The date of conception would be about mid-February.

You are probably "missing" a fake pregnancy?!

Maybe she's claiming to be 8 weeks and it's a typo or a mis-translation?

Apparently there is a "snake like scar"...
A scar that wasn't mentioned until almost a month later. A scar that lasted about a month but didn't need medical attention...

MOO JMO

" Bella Culley, 19, from Billingham, Teesside, who is suspected of smuggling cannabis into Georgia showed a court in Tbilisi a 'snake-like' scar she claims was inflicted in Thailand."

" During the hour-long pre-trial hearing in Tbilisi, Culley, from Billingham, Teesside, showed the court a ‘snake-like’ scar on her right arm which she claims was made on her as she was forced to take the drugs."

'Snake-like' scar could hold key to mystery of teen 'drug mule' Bella Culley
