British Bella May Culley 18, missing from Thailand, arrested in Georgia, May 2025

They are not vulnerable young people. They made a conscious decision to get involved with smuggling . No one forced them to fly from Britain to Thailand. They were lured by the chance to earn money to fund a materialistic life style .

They seem to me "vulnerable"
in a sense
they lack moral values
and quite possibly
positive role models were absent during their upbringing.

Because
why would they get involved in smuggling substances that ruin others' lives?
That make others slaves to deadly addiction?

Is all money in the world worth to harm others?

No moral compass whatsoever IMO.
Ruining others' and their own lives.

"British teenager held in prison in Georgia on suspicion of drug offences
has been described as
'not far from childhood'
by her new lawyer.

Mr Salakaia said Miss Culley was in 'good health'
but he would not describe her as
an adequate adult.

The lawyer,
who does not speak English and specialises in juvenile law,
has been communicating with his client using a translator.

Their first meeting lasted two hours.
The 18-year-old was also giving evidence to Georgian investigators."

This same article mentions that

The BBC understands Miss Culley arrived in Tbilisi on a flight from Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, on 10 May.

Impossible she did not know what she was doing IMO

Agreed. She knew exactly what she was doing and where she was going. She could easily have used her phone to find out information about Georgia.

According to reports, Mr Salakaia (her lawyer) had to explain her geographical location to Bella during their two-hour meeting.

So she boarded a flight to Georgia but did not know where Georgia is?

Actually thinking about it ,she probably would not have been able to find it on the map ,the general knowledge of some youngsters is extremely poor . A young teacher in a school I was in thought children needed a passport for a trip to the Isle of Wight . The school was in the South of England so less than 60 miles away.

I am sure many do not know where Tenerife and Dubai are on a world map.

This case hit headlines in my country

I was reading comments and somebody wrote
(referring to the defendant's shock in Court)

"She was shaken, not stirred"

It made me laugh sooooo hard hahahaha 🤣

Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the first time she'd even heard there was a country called Georgia.

She was likely flying Air Arabia, which is a low-cost airline whose hub is the Sharjah airport. The airline has direct flights to both Bangkok and Tbilisi.

I can only say that she's very lucky that she wasn't caught during her stopover in the UAE. They do not take kindly to drug smugglers.

UAE stopover? Did this doofus get off the plane there, in that skimpy beach outfit? Clueless, knows zilch about other countries and cultures, and couldn't care less either. Lucky she wasn't arrested for "indecency" let alone for the drugs there.

"Bella May Culley's dad
'visits Teesside teen in Georgian prison for first time'."

Very possible Air Arabia was chosen for a special reason

MOD NOTE: Hi! Little busy here. Would one of you make a thread for Charlotte and then report it? If you will, I'll move posts about Charlotte from here to there. Thanks!

I started a thread for Charlotte Lee:

MOD NOTE: THANK YOU, @Unalienable Rights!

I think I've split those right. If I've missed anything, report!

This thread has been quiet for a week or two but there is an article in today's Mail claiming that Brits are being specifically target as drug mule. Of the cases they discuss, the only one I would consider "vulnerable" is that of 79 year old William Easement whose age suggests he could be suffering from some degree of cognitive decline. The others are just stupid and greedy.

"MULE ON THE RUN

'I’m a drug mule who flew from Thailand like Bella Culley & Charlotte May Lee…

I’ve fled UK over threat to kill my family'.

Thai drugs gangs have been specifically targeting vulnerable young Brits
to be mules after a crackdown on drugs sent by post.

A terrified British drug mule
has told how he was left in fear of his life
after his stash went missing en route to the UK -
and the gang which recruited him demanded £100,000.

He lives a few miles from Bella’s home in Billington, County Durham,
but has been forced to flee the country to Spain
after the gang started hunting him."

he's in fear for his life with a gang hunting him so he told the media what country he's in???

250 lbs. seems a pittance though - why would anyone agree to that?

£250. I do not think that the truth was being told about the amount they were given. She could have made that in a few shop lifting trips!
