Come to think of it, do Go Fund Me's T&Cs permit raising funds to pay fines arising from criminal activity?

It appears so, just found this out from another case where the Go Fund Me was taken down.

In that case one would hope the prohibition also covers raising money to pay fines following conviction.

The exact amount of the potential fine remains unclear.

The court also heard
how both sides accepted
the evidence in the case is undoubtable.

Bail was denied by the judge,
with the next hearing scheduled for October 9."

Why should the British Embassy help out a drug mule? She hasn't lost her passport, been in an accident or robbed of all her money. She committed a crime and they should leave it to the country she committed the crime in, to deal with her IMO. JMO

That certainly sounds like they are willing to take money in lieu of a prison sentence. Pressure is on the family.

G0 Fund Meeee T&Cs do not allow it, no. When a friend of mine had a run-on with the law, we used a site called Funded Justice that is specifically for that type of thing.

An exact sum has not been given. Six figure amounts have been suggested, ,I imagine £100,000 would not be easy or quick for the family to raise.

Probably some opportunities for BMC to parlay her experiences as a lone, pregnant teen in that NOTORIOUS PRISON!!! having been BETRAYED BY DRUG KINGPINS!!! with minimal family contact as UK CONSULATE CRUELLY CUTS TIES!!! and, of course, left HEARTBROKEN BY LOVE RAT!!! *

A DM or Sun story IN HER WORDS! or two, dressed demurely, with the wee bairn peeping gently over her shoulder, maybe a stint on a Criminal Love Island spinoff or even Cameo etc content creation. Hopefully not a children's book.

In some parts of the UK you could buy 2 houses for this amount. It is way more than I was expecting. Will be interesting to see if they can raise the cash as I believe certain methods - the words I can't write on here ! - are forbidden.
