Welcome to WS Jillian!

To help any local and/or national media prep for stories, I want to bump a few links:

TIMELINE and MEDIA

COURT DOCUMENTS

The court documents are available from OC Superior Courthouse via FOIA of course.
There should be a settlement agreement between the co conservators and AH somewhere within that material which may add another piece to this puzzle.

If you have any information whatsoever concerning the disappearance of Robert Harrod, please contact:

Detective David Radomski , Placentia Police Department-Homicide
714-993-8176

or contact the Homicide Hotline at 714-993-8166 (case number 09-3263).

Bumping some info for our guests and our newer members who are interested in the whereabouts of this beloved man.

Hi, I'm brand new here and in Sydney and until 24 hrs. ago had never heard of this case. Afte watching Disappeared I became really interested and went searching and found you. So many questions! Can I begin with; did Fontelle speak to Bob on the Monday morning as was her custom?

Hi Jillian and welcome to Bob's thread! :-)

I believe the last time Fontelle spoke with Bob was Sunday night, after the "heated family meeting".

All you posters who have remembered to bump things to help any new visitors, thank you so much.

Oh my gosh, yes. My car is an absolute wreck inside; it just can't be helped if you do repairs and home renovations and use your vehicle. Didn't JeM do quite a lot of renovations, according to his wife?

Yes, he did. A handy man with a spotless car, imagine that!

I mean come on, that is ludicrous. If his car was clean, then he had it cleaned. This is not rocket science. Perhaps it was exceptionally dirty and he prefers a clean car. Until his next contracting work or set of small jobs.

As the the wife of a contractor who has seen many a vehicle driven by employees (carpenters, laborers and handy men) I agree that this is highly suspect. I have never in my life met a contractor or workman whose vehicle was "clean". And i am not exaggerating when I say NEVER.

I think I've seen in the show transcript that Mrs Harrod (Fontelle) spoke to Bob at 10pm each night, on the dot. Before that, I thought it was at 8pm.

There is clearly something wrong with me because I think it is funny that his car was clean.

Sigh-that must have caused some serious red flags for LE.

Was it 10PM her time perhaps?

and jumping off to take this thought further, if the estates of Bob and Georgia were structured as I imagine they were, then the adult children/heirs would receive nothing til the time of Bob's death and his estate was distributed through the probate courts.

However, by marrying, Bob threw a monkey wrench into that possibility. Bob married Fontelle. Now if he dies, even if his will has not been changed to provide for her, she could conceivably tie up the estate (with no access for anyone to money til it was resolved) by challenging the will in court. Especially if he had made it known it was his intention to alter his will after marriage to provide for her.

So Bob's disappearance in that regard worked out perfectly in such a manner as to allow the children to seize control of the trust in his absence by conservatorship. In this manner, Bob is not dead so Fontelle cannot challenge his will or make a claim against his estate as his surviving spouse. The children have control of the money.

This right here, in a nutshell explains to me why Bob's family, aside from his widow, seem uninterested in figuring out what happened to Bob or having his case solved. As long as Bob's status does not change from missing to deceased its as if they received the benefit of both the parents estates without Bob being officially dead and without Fontelle having a legal claim as his widow with which to challenge his will.

:goodpost:

I think you nailed it, tlcya! I second believe09's request you send this to Det. Radomski.

It's probably 10:00 pm central/Missouri time and 8:00pm pacific/California time. MO is two hours ahead of CA.

From Edinburgh Lass's synopsis:
Det Radomski - a lot of that is a source of animosity amongst the family (obviously missed something big with no narration here).

Det Radomski - Bob wrote his daughters off for 6 months. They were bombarding him with money issues and he was overwhelmed after death of his wife.

Det Loomis - talking about family meeting on 26 July. Was on Bob's calendar. Meeting was to be about finances and property.

Det Radomski - the weekend before he went missing, there was a meeting at his house. Argument regarding the trust occurred.

BBM- I find all of these LE statements relevant, but the one I bolded confirms something PE stated emphatically.

Thank you for the welcome. I had presumed that because Fontelle said she phoned Bob in the morning and at night and wasn't worried until the evening, that she had in fact spoken to him in the morning.
Why would the daughter phone Fontelle to say Bob was missing when they had a key to the house and could have checked for themselves before panicking her. Fontelle definitely states that it was she who called the police. Was that the purpose? Wish I knew more of the story. Sorry to be such a pain. Changing the sheets AFTER the housekeeper had been. Vey strange.

Det Radomski - JeM left several times - once to a convenience store and multiple times to home improvement store. Nothing specific mentioned by JeM about Bob's behaviour - JeM suggested Bob may have had an appointment he forgot to mention or he may have became ill. That was one of the things he said - but nothing stuck out to JeM as a destination that Bob had.

Respectfully snipped and bbm. This is the first I've seen that JeM suggested Bob may have become ill. Let me get this straight.

JeM believes his father in law may have become ill, but doesn't drive directly to his son's home minutes from Bob's home. Instead he drives more than an hour home and his wife reports her dad missing to Bob's new wife 9 hours or so after Bob was last seen.

Additionally, JeM suggests Bob might have forgotten an appointment when Bob's car never left the driveway.
Did Bob have any appointments he attended without a car?

All this from the handyman with the spotless vehicle.

Uh, huh. Riiiight.

You arent a pain. Not at all. The story is a strange one for sure. We have yet to figure out why it made more sense for Fontelle to call in a well being check and MP report from MO when there were feet on the ground there in CA. Bob's grandson lived a street over from him-ultimately he was the one who met LE for the well being check with the key.

We pretty much agreed as a group that we would have busted a window and checked to see if he was at the bottom of the stairs with a broken hip, or that if we were SIL, we would never have left until he was safely home.

It makes no sense at all-the actions of the people physically closest to Bob make no sense.

If someone would be kind enough to throw up a link to the good detective's email I would be more than happy to pass along my thoughts. I imagine he has already come to this conclusion himself but hey, I have no problem if I am being redundant

  • #696
We cant put his email on the thread, only because he will be hit with bot spam. Maybe we can dig one up and PM it to you. ;)

thank you. I don't have an email for Det. R. Hopefully someone else does and will add it for you. Unless you don't mind calling and asking for one? Det. R's direct number is in the opening post of this thread.

If you don't want to call, I'd be happy to and ask for the email to pass along to you.
