I made a Parking Lot thread for discussion about putting together info we may choose to submit. The new topic will not be open until it has been approved by a moderator.

tlcya, thank you breaking it down so that, even I, am beginning to understand. I have always turned a deaf ear to this kind of stuff, so I am quite ignorant in such matters.

My hat's off to you amazing sleuths! We have experience from so many directions coming together here & so much determination that Bob's disappearance will not go unpunished, I just know we can assist.

The only thing I have seen Bob's family do is everything but search for Bob. They got attorneys right away to handle Bob's affairs. They made a wandering list of what might have happened to Bob except the obvious. This family seems have had a hands-off approach to Bob since he went missing (and before it seems).

They have the new wife call to report him missing. The grandson waits for the cops to go in after everyone is aware Bob hasn't been in the house all day, unless he was in the tub or something. They have come up with all kinds of reasons from wandering off to suspcious cars, but one I haven't seen, tho' I may have missed it.

That is: One of the sisters accuses the other sister(s) or their families of doing something to Bob for money.

Pass the ten foot pole, please.

My other question is: What was in the bathroom that the housekeeper didn't see???

Two more for my list! So far I have; JeM (son-in-law) thought/told people:

Bob had gone to visit a neighbour
Bob had got into a suspicious car
Bob had felt unwell
Bob had an appointment

AH, JeM's son, saying;
Bob had probably left to get away from family problems
It wasn't like Bob to leave without telling anyone

Those of you with sharp eyes will have noticed AH's two comments are a direct contradiction of each other. You may be thinking he's inherited that odd little trait from his dad. Imo, you'd be wrong. It's from his mom, pure and simple.

Perhaps someone else would care to post details of JuM's timeline of events? I have the list, but it gives me a headache just typing it out.

Hi all. I am still going through all the old threads so I may not be up to this answer yet. I know that there have been numerous links posted regarding the hairdresser and her husband having their alibi's checked. Does this mean that they personally weren't involved or have they looked at the possibility of them being involved with a third party to cause Bob's disappearance?

The hairdresser was in my opinion a red herring offered up by Bob's children because they resented the fact that their father had threatened to cut of the flow off money they were constantly harrassing him for and about and yet was loaning or gifting the hairdresser money.

I do not think the hairdresser or husband were actual serious suspects of LE because it would make zero sense to kill, abduct or otherwise disappear the goose that laid golden eggs.

I can think of no motive for the hairdresser or husband to either disappear Bob themselves or hire it done. Quite the opposite. With him gone so too is their opportunity to receive any more gifts or loans.

I'm far from an expert in this case but the motive that would make sense to me is that Bob's 'gifts' to them were actually loans and by removing him, they wouldn't have to pay them back. I know the family has said he was fastidious about loans and documentation so that goes against that theory, but you never know.

IIRC, in the court case with the BL, one of the daughters had found a 'yellow piece of paper' with some notes in regard to the money but didn't think it was important. The case was found in favor of the BL with Bob paying court costs.

EdinburghLass, the following link should help answer questions with regards to some of the money Bob lent out or gifted...

Additionally Det. R stated they are aware of the BL's whereabouts the day of Bob's disappearance and he mentions gifts in his dialogue on the disappeared show which you were so lucky to view and we are so grateful for you to have transcribed/summarized.

BBM - it would have taped again this morning but I am at work. I will check this afternoon if it includes narration (fingers crossed!)

Yes - the family has said he was extremely fastidious about his finances and documentation. The only information we have about the moneys given to the hairdresser being loans is from the family members who now control all of Bob's money. In the civil court case the family initiated it was determined there was no evidence to indicate that they were anything other than gifts.

If I am wrong someone please chime in and correct me. I have come to follow Bob's case late in the game, so I may not have my facts straight on the hairdresser issue.

From Court doc:
"PB testified that when she met her father 4 days before he disappeared, he was of sound mind and alert. PB also testified that her father kept detailed records of all monies owed to him, that he required a promissory note to be signed even by relatives, that she found the promissory note signed by herself and other relatives in her father's papers, but she found no promissory note or even an IOU pertaining to the money that (Bob) Harrod gave the hairdresser."

PB also said that 'yellow piece of paper' written by Bob that she'd found did list all the money he'd apparently given the hairdresser as gifts, but she declined to produce it. Now this strikes me as strange and worth examining further. The hairdresser had asked it be produced, and Bob's daughter said no. Why?

Am I going mad, or does PB saying Bob was of 'sound mind and alert' directly contradict something we mentioned she said on the last page or two?

No, you're not going mad. I was just going to look for the direct quotes from PB which completely contradict the other statement.

BBS. (back and forth with real life too)

I thought that break from the "party line" was epic, fwiw. It makes me think that PB was no part of the dementia explanation.

Here it is!
Respectfully snipped, BBM.

Daughter P talks about going to see Bob once or twice a month and about how everything was hard for him. Hard to get everything organised and hard to complete paperwork. He would repeat things to her multiple times.

Doctor's opinion was that Bob was one of the healthiest 81 year olds he had ever seen - healthy enough to make his own decisions and care for his own home.

If Bob was not back by the day Fontelle arrived, we knew we were going to have a big problem.

This was probably answered, EdinburghLass, but they were cleared of any involvement.

There is nothing there. Bob was well within his rights to give his money as he chose without having to answer to anyone. It was his. He was a generous man with both friends and family it appears.

LE states this was not a stranger crime and that the crime appears to be tied to the fight for the money, right?

PB made the comment about Bob finding paperwork hard, repeating things multiple times etc, in a show filmed in February 2012.

She made the statement about him being of sound mind and alert in court in March 2012.

Again, I think we have a time lapse here between when this show was filmed and then having to make sworn statements under penalty of perjury in a civil suit.

I always believed that PB's testimony at the civil trial involving BL was the closest thing to the truth that we had heard about Bob from his daughters to date.

Kudos to her if she decided she was disgusted with the bashing and the innuendo.
