Am in Aus B09. If you would be kind enough to link me to the Aussie post re the upload, I'll follow up locally. Failing that can you give me the date and name of the programme (as it aired in Aus) and I'll phone Foxtel.

The show is called Disappeared and the episode name is Long Lost Love. It aired multiple times with the most recent being 5.30am (EST) on Monday 11 Feb I believe.

I have been speaking to a technical friend today and he has kindly been explaning to me how I can attempt to copy the show. However, I don't have all the cables etc I need.

I will try to get to the shops on Friday and try to get everything I need to burn it.

Edinburgh lass, thank you sooooo much for going to all this trouble to help. I'm sure that goes for every single poster here too. Thank you, thank you.

Just bumping cloudajo's post with the times/dates the show aired in Oz.

Below are the results I see on the Foxtel Australia, TV Guide when I do a search on “Disappeared” “Next 14 days.” I’m assuming times are Australia local times. I think it’s a little after 12:00am in Sydney, Australia now.

Foxtel has Internet TV with a package that includes the Disappeared channel, but it looks like it requires a Samsung Smart TV device. Darn.

S5, Ep71. Love Lost Love: Eighty-one year old Bob Harrod is overjoyed when he marries his childhood sweetheart after 60 years apart. But days before his new bride moves in, Bob vanishes.

I think the UK origination is because the production company, Peacock,:
http://www.peacockproductions.tv/series/disappeared/

is a London, England - based company:
http://www.peacock-productions.com/

If they are one and the same company, it's interesting and a little ironic that the founder of the company is a former accountant and insolvency practitioner.

ETA: More I look, the more I think they can't be the same company. Strange if they share a name - I didn't think that could happen.

I read that JeM is undergoing chemo treatments for cancer. Has that been revealed here & I missed it?

Respectfully snipped.

From Yesterday at ROTW: This is a post by Jules
My hubby is at the command center where all the media is waiting for further instructions. The Sheriff's have been airlifted to the hospital.

Apparently he is feeling better.

I hope he wasn't helping out with co-ordinating timelines.

It is clear what the implication is-that JeM was there in some official capacity, rather than that of nosy neighbor. IIRC, JuM has stated in the past that her husband was a proud dodger of the draft for Vietnam. He is not an active member of LE, nor could he be under the present circumstances...age being one of them.

Is he a member of the media then? Not unless he is there in the official capacity of reporting for ROTW. I think that role has been filled in their family. ;)

So I suppose if I had the appetite to speculate, I would think that he was caught up in the dragnet of curiosity seekers that plagued LE yesterday, seeing as how the location of the shooting was many miles from Running Springs.

I am going to bring forward all of what we heard and learned regarding the Disappeared Show as it was aired in Australia-thanks again to our amazing Aussie friends who contributed!!!

JuM just can't seem to stop herself placing JeM right at the centre of things.

I wonder what Bob thought of the proud draft dodging, him being a former marine and all?

  • #853
Not only has JuM put her husband - Bob's son-in-law - at the centre of things again, she also seems to have put him in two places at once. Again.

"The house (where Dorner hid) is.......near the location where the media set up camp for several days gathering for press conferences and updates by San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon. The command post was at the Bear Mountain Golf Course Clubhouse.

I found it interesting that the article mentioned how they thought Dorner was heading for the plentiful off-highway trails around there, allowing him to travel to other towns while avoiding LE on the highways.

  • #855
Am I the only one who is happy that LE have been all over those mountains? If Bob is anywhere near there, surely someone will have stumbled upon him.

Only half a day's sleuthing and I've tracked down Mr Z and English visitor. Mr Z has confirmed that we did see the Long Island episode from season five here, and he's going to help me track down channels and schedules. English visitor is going to trawl the schedules when back home.

I'm really beginning to think ID chose to premier Bob's show in Australia and nowhere else though. So it's over to you mates...........

  • #859
We got the Long Island episode not long ago - maybe mid January?

  • #860
That's when I saw it.
