I can't believe I watched (part of) it and missed the significance. Just call me sleutheless.

Respectfully snipped.

From Yesterday at ROTW: This is a post by Jules

Apparently he is feeling better.

Oh my goodness! The ROTW post that caught my eye was about hubby avoiding crowds until immune system could rebuild after chemo. Then a few days later he is running around in the snow & hanging out with who knows how many people coming & going at the command center..... you just cannot believe anything some people say!
I hope the detective knows that.

<shrug> I think we have seen consistently that any information or timelines offered by the Michaels family are a moving target. And I doubt we are the only ones who have seen that to be true.

To this day my all time favorite displays of contradiction were the vegetarian who eats chicken, fish et al. and the animal lover who likes to watch predators play with the small prey in her yard as she drinks her morning coffee.

  • #864
That's not a vegetarian. That's a German vegetarian.

  • #865
Contradictions certainly seem to be an issue with JuM.

It's almost like JuM wants to say something that she can't quite bring herself to say.

The first mention I can find of the housekeeper in msm is October 8th, 2009. Does anyone have an earlier one?

I would really like to know when LE first became aware she was at the house that day. If they were told straight away by son-in-law, or if housekeeper saw reports on TV and came forward herself?

It doesn't make sense why JeM would have told police he arrived at 3pm to find her waiting, if he knew she was going to say she arrived at noon when interviewed.

But it also doesn't make sense that he would have given such an incorrect time, even if he didn't tell LE she was there. He must surely have known she would be bound to come forward.

Was it definitely the housekeeper and not an actress in the Disappeared clip? I'm wondering if Disappeared has made a huge mistake with the times now, and that's why the narration's vanished.

  • #867
It was definately the real housekeeper and not an actress speaking. I do not think Disappeared made a mistake about the time(s). LE has to approve the final before it is ready to air. I honestly think the missing narration was simply a human error somewhere. Someone didn't send something, or forgot to add it.

At this point I wouldn't expect the timeline to be clarified until this case goes to trial. At some point it will go to trial, it's just a matter of when that might happen.

I read this story on CNN a few minutes ago and it overwhelmed me:
High school sweethearts Art Bushkin and Barbara Slavin, both philanthropists in Vienna, Virginia, reconnected after more than 40 years apart. 'It is a beautiful fairy tale that came true,' Barbara said. She remembers looking for Art in every airport she visited. 'He was a good person then, and I was sure that goodness only got bigger as he grew up ... When we did reconnect, his goodness was as large as the sun in all its warmth and sunlight.'

They were separated for years-they lost track of one another when he left for school. She was 14.

They reconnected with the help of the WWW.

Sound familiar? :(

Here is the final line of the article:

Never give up on love.

It's like Bob came and tapped us all on the shoulder.

I cant wish Mrs Harrod a Happy Valentines Day because it wont be. But we can share with her our wish that if she cannot have Bob beside her on earth, she can have him to take and bury somewhere that she can visit.

?? I am sorry zwiebel, I am not following. To me it seems likely that the episodes are sent out over seas and possibly dubbed in with a regional narrator, but that is just my opinion. Even if that is not the case, we know (at least I think we know) that it was simply released in error. Apparently the episodes are not shown in advance of the US audience, so I would hazard a guess that Bob's show was set to air originally in the US around 1/28 and someone didnt get the memo to pull it back from distribution outside of the US.

Again, just a guess.

Actually, maybe this was done as a favor to an audience who was clamoring for the release, lol!!!! Maybe they dropped it because they thought it might spark some kind of flame before they show it here.

:D That is delightful to think about.

The narrator on our episodes is always an American man.

I haven't been able to get to the shops yet as my car is in the shop. Hoping to get there this afternoon depending on when it will be ready!

I'm worrying again, aren't I?
Tell you what, I'll stop worrying about Disappeared and start worrying about timelines instead.

Just bullet points without links so I don't clog up the thread. All links available though.

Bob disappeared Monday 27th July.

We're thinking maybe one, noon? (time Bob disappeared)
My father has been missing approximately 28 hours (so since 10am Monday).

Thursday 30th July

Bob was last seen about 1.30pm Monday.
Bob's son-in-law told police he went to a Home Depot, and when he returned, Bob was gone.

Bob was last seen Monday, 27th July by his son-in-law at Harrod's Placentia residence about 1pm.

August 18th, 2009
Bob's daughter PB, Namus report
Called Bob between 11am to 12pm and overheard SIL say he was going to the hardware store.

Oct 8th, 2009
Police chief Jim Anderson/Det Loomis
Michaels told police he left the house for Home Depot to buy supplies around 2.30pm and time-stamped receipts bear him out.

Feb 2nd, 2010
'Police say'
About 9.30am, Bob's son-in-law JeM arrived to help get the house ready. He told police he worked at the home, then went to Home Depot about 2.40pm to buy supplies. When he returned about 3.30pm, Bob's housekeeper was sitting on the front stoop....Bob was not there.
JeM left about 6pm.

Michaels, reportedly the last person to have seen Bob, has receipts verifying he was at Home Depot around the time he said he was.

Thank you! That partially blows my theory out of the water then, the voiceover part anyway, lol.

Summary:
10am
11am-12pm
12pm-1pm
1pm
1.30pm
2.30pm
2.40pm

ETA: This timeline couldn't make sense in any language, with the smoothest narrator in the world.

It's ridiculous. FWIW, I like looking at the words of those who arrived on the scene the soonest after Mrs Harrod was told to call. Concentric circles....AH punted the ball to family and it was his mother who started the clock ticking at 10AM, right? Isnt this the 28 hour post? And then Noon, 1.

  • #876
Just at the shops now. Went to major electronics store and told him what cables I needed. He said that copying from foxtel cannot be done as its all copyrighted and walked away! I just don't think I'm technical enough :( I'm sorry guys

No worries, thank you for trying. Your summary upthread was wonderful. You've spent so much time for us, thanks! We'll all eventually see it. Whether it's the show that aired in Australia or when it eventually airs here.

Maybe the next time it's rerun in Australia, someone can video it with their phone and add it?

Either way, thanks a million!

Why is the 28 hour post/10:00am and the last call from a non family member at 10:00 (iirc and according to LE) suddenly jumping out at me?

LE certainly didn't have phone records by Tues am when JuM was dth changing the linens, so how did she know the 10:00 am time before LE did?

  • #879
The 28-hour post is one of the things I really hope LE is aware of, and hope they have some evidence to prove who made it, and at what time. Was that post one of the ones deleted, does anyone know?

That 'missing 28 hours' post also throws her sister PB's 11am-12pm conversation with Bob into doubt, doesn't it?

  • #880
I am sending my very good wishes out to one of us who really needs them at the moment. Hope my fellow posters will join me.
Bob isn't forgotten and his faithful supporters aren't either. Hands across the ocean to you. You have been missed.
