Why is the 28 hour post/10:00am and the last call from a non family member at 10:00 (iirc and according to LE) suddenly jumping out at me?

LE certainly didn't have phone records by Tues am when JuM was dth changing the linens, so how did she know the 10:00 am time before LE did?

That's a good question.

Here are the two references to 10AM on July 27. As you mentioned, re JuM’s post at 01:50PM on ROTW July 28, ~28 hours ago would be a little before 10AM on July 27. Regarding the comment posted by the reporter re 10AM on July 27, he didn’t say a non-family member – he said anyone other than Jeff Michaels.

Both the post by JuM and all comments under the article have since been removed.

Plea for Positive Thoughts and Prayers - My dad is missing

I need to request positive thoughts and prayers. My father has been missing approx. 28 hours ago. We suspect foul play, but want 1o remain as positive; his new wife will be arriving with her belongings tomorrow. My father's name is Robert Harrod in Placentia; his new wife Fontelle Heeter-Harrod is just besides herself, please pray for his safe return.

Officials have said that at 10 a.m. July 27 there was a phone call to Bob Harrod, which is the last time anyone other than Jeff Michaels verified he was at the house. Police are not releasing the content of those phone records.

The 28-hour post is one of the things I really hope LE is aware of, and hope they have some evidence to prove who made it, and at what time. Was that post one of the ones deleted, does anyone know?

That 'missing 28 hours' post also throws her sister PB's 11am-12pm conversation with Bob into doubt, doesn't it?

It was deleted, along with many others. It sure does throw the PB convo into doubt!

So that looks like police were not counting daughter PB's stated 11-12 call to Bob as verification Bob was actually there.

Unless PB hadn't told police by that time that she had called her father and overheard the son-in-law say he was going to the store. I can't believe she would have delayed in informing LE of such crucial info though. The last people to see or speak to a missing person can often provide the only clues to what may have happened.

Things that make you go hmmmm.

LE is aware of all of this, I am quite certain. The detective working this case is very sharp.

Good thing the posts were screen captured before they went poof, fwiw.

The debt of gratitude owed to our early posters who noticed things, thought about them and collected and noted information.....well, I won't embarrass anyone by listing names, but we all know who they are.

In a case where there have been such shameful things, those guys make me feel proud. Dignity, diligence and determination; that's what they have brought to Bob's case.

Not only is the 28 hours and time so close to that last 10:00 am call, how do we know it was actually Bob who answered the phone, and not JuM calling her husband on Bob's phone to make it appear as if Bob were still alive and well at that time?

I find it very interesting that not only does the 28 hours match up so closely with that last call, she suspects foul play before police do and she doesn't mention anyone being beside themselves except for Bob's wife. No mention of she and her family being overly worried.

Honestly-this is the entrenched position that most surprises me. If, as Det Radomski states in the last 5 minutes of the Disappeared video, this family is covering for one another PB is going to be in a very tough spot when the case moves forward. Very tough. Because it isnt enough to have made a call that cant be proven or disproven with phone records, as she has posted in the past.

If it becomes clear that her father disappeared closer to her sister's time frame, PB could only have been obstructing the investigation to suggest otherwise...to suggest that she actually spoke with her father during the time she said she did.

We know she has reversed herself when it comes to his mental acuity-she testified under oath at BL's civil trial that Bob was mentally sharp when she last saw him IIRC. Very different from the statements about him being disorganized etc that were made to the production crew.

Maybe she has reversed her position on the phone call as well.

Just at the shops now. Went to major electronics store and told him what cables I needed. He said that copying from foxtel cannot be done as its all copyrighted and walked away! I just don't think I'm technical enough :( I'm sorry guys

Don't even bother to tell a bloke in a shop what you want to do EL. He's limited by his belief system. We sleuths go the extra mile...

I suggest that you read this and just follow the instructions - it's legal:

Thanks believe. Disappeared has some committed fans out there and they are making their opinions known about this hiccup. I'd love to be a fly on the wall on the ID addicts forum now.

I'm hoping this is just a re-jigging of the website and schedule and Disappeared will be back soon. In fact, I'm certain it will be. I just wish I could be certain where.

Tweet Rupert Murdoch, somebody with a twitter account. He owns Foxtel, and probably the channels that run Disappeared in the US. Ask him about the programme about the missing 81-year-old. They're about the same age. It might grab his attention. It will send Bob's case into orbit if you get a reply.

I just noticed that in our summary of Bob's episode that EdinburghLass kindly posted, RB says that she suggested 'they' get a key and look around Bob's house.

I don't know if that means RB was the one who asked grandson to go check with LE, or if someone -'they' - entered the house that night before LE and AH. Or if she suggested it but nobody actually did it.

Who knows? Just another odd thing in a case full of them.

Why didnt they have a key?

  • #899
Because none of them lived close enough to require one for emergencies?
No, that can't be right - grandson lived a few blocks away.

Because none of them ever visited?
No, apart from the six-month separation Bob asked for, Bob's friend said daughter JuM and son-in-law JeM, at least, had been fairly frequent visitors.

Because Bob didn't like anyone but himself having keys?
But daughters have stated a neighbour had a key.

Mmmmmm. Nope, it's no good, I give up.

Posted by JuM on another board on August 13, 2009. Gives insight into the amount of time they spent with Bob and how she felt.

-----------------------
Our father pushed us away around Christmas, he wanted time "to get in touch" with his feelings. It hurt all of us, we tried to respect his wishes but I would stop in now and then when I was down the hill and he would be happy to see us. It was a weird situation that we did not understand. We did however warn him of the POI taking advantage of him and he brushed it off. This is heartbreaking, the distance he created was so selfish. We found out that he purchased lavish gifts for POI and he could not believe she did not like the diamond bracelet so he had to go back and get her something else for her. He did not even acknowledge his own grandson and great grandchildren. In a nutshell that is what happened until we came down to meet F he wanted us to be an instant family again. The difficult situation of just losing our mother and then D pushing us away was insane. As if our emotions can be shut down and then turned back on in a snap.
