I think the person responsible is maybe lulled into a false sense of security because Bob hasn't been found yet. Many arrests and prosecutions have taken place without a body though, and circumstantial evidence may be hard to prosecute, but it's just as hard to defend. It will be very interesting if police start prosecuting the Stacey Peterson case, because dreadful Drew's first murder trial provided some interesting info on hearsay, etc.

Bob's day will come, and someone's nightmare will just be beginning. It must be some kind of life, waiting for that knock on the door everyday.

Maybe we should take a moment to consider if all of the noise regarding "Georgia's Will" may have included a discussion regarding advanced directives and who followed through on it if she had one?

Along the lines of this topic: (JuM)

(it was a battle with my dad as he saved all her dentures thinking they had gold in them)

Are you freaking kidding me?? ANOTHER vicious jab at her father's supposed cheapness and greed. OMG these girls are getting on my last nerve!!!

Bob will have the last laugh when those responsible are all behind bars.

Daughter PB spoke of the motive, having to not repay money owed to Bob. There is only one person that we are aware of who, with a secret agreement, got out of his debt to Bob. That might be the twist Det. Radomski was thinking about with his statement on the Disappeared show which aired in Australia.

All the jabs in the world are only going to help the prosecution, so they can jab away afaic.

Every day is a day closer to arrests and this case being solved.

Wasn't someone going to get a copy of that secret agreement which allowed the grandson to walk from hundreds of thousands of dollars he owed Bob?

What ever happened with that?

BBM.. This reminded me of something that Vincent Bugliosi said in his book "Outrage" regarding the OJ Simpson case and circumstantial evidence.

Only eyewitness testimony is considered "direct" evidence. Everything else is circumstantial.

To reference Bugliosi: (some paraphrasing here)

*It depends on what type of circumstantial evidence one is talking about. [in the Simpson case] “[where] the prosecution presented physical, scientific evidence connecting Simpson to the crime it couldn’t be stronger.”

The true circumstantial evidence case, and the only kind that is difficult to try, is one in which not only are there *no* eyewitnesses--only eyewitness testimony; which is notoriously problematic, is direct evidence—but no other type of physical evidence as well. All you have have to go on is a speck of evidence. Maybe an inappropriate remark or a suspicious bank transaction and you have to build the case on that; that is the true circumstantial evidence case.

I just have a bad feeling that Bob's case falls into the later category and that's why going on 4 years later we still don't have an arrest.

Bugliosi also prosecuted the Manson clan, I think? He had to deal with some very aggressive women in that case, if I remember correctly. It didn't faze him.

There certainly seems to be enough inappropriate remarks and banking activity (or lack of it, in AH's case) to drown in here. We don't know what the forensic search of Bob's house might have turned up, either.

I don't know; maybe it's time for PPD to look at bringing other charges - obstruction of justice maybe, if they think someone has lied or misled them. Maybe that'll bring this horrible house of cards tumbling down.

Or maybe we could find a very rich, kind person to offer a million dollar reward. And this time, family members would NOT be excluded from claiming. That might put the proverbial cat amongst the dachshunds.

Every morning I think to myself, it's a beautiful day for arrests in Bob's case. Hoping today is the day!

I hope and pray for this very thing everyday.

My life is crazy busy right now (good things happening) and I can't be here for Bob as much as I want to be. So thank you, to all of you, who are here for Bob day in and day out.

I have faith that justice will prevail in this case!

Mountain Misst, can you help me out here? Apparently, there was something about Bob's show on the Aussie Criminals (and victims, obviously) site last month, apparently. I couldn't find it though. Any chance you saw it?.
Report back - the thread where off-topic comments are posted on the AussieCrims site has been removed by admin (due to technical problems) - it was all comments up until last week. The site doesn't have the level of sophistication or search facilities we have on ws so can't track back. I doubt I would have missed it tho, Zwie. I picked up your comment within an Aus thread on ws, so doubt I'd miss it elsewhere. Once seen, never forgotten. ;)

Followers tend to swing between the 2 websites in Aus, so would not be the least surprised if a confusion arose as to which site that the comments were posted on. Is there mention of the Aus comment that you refer to, here in Bob's thread? If so can you direct me and I'll follow up.

It was just a comment that came up on google under Aussie criminals, when I googled; Aussie criminals, Bob Harrod. I just wanted to see if anyone was talking about the case and it seemed like they were, because there was a tantalising half comment under the google link.

When I searched the site though, I couldn't find it, and the comments not coming up under the google search now, either. Sigh.

Good evening Bob Harrod sleuthers. I've been around but not here. I came to check up on Bob and see how things were going.

Any more news on the human remains that were found in Banning/Cabazon??? How about that poor soul who lived in a storage container?? I keep watching the news to see if any more bodies show up that would be within the range of where Bob disappeared.

I'm hoping at this point that Bob is found and there is a lot of evidence as to who took him away from his precious Fontelle.

I don't forget Bob or the wonderful loving sleuthers here. I've been in the trenches in other cases and they lack the camaraderie and friendship this case offers. It's always a pleasure to check in here and see how things are progressing.

I need a break from that other case, so I'll be checking in on Bob more. {{{Hugs}}}

I can't find any updates on the body found in the storage unit yet, the coroner's report still says identification is awaiting notification of next of kin. I'm guessing they may be having trouble tracking someone down.

Here's an article. I'm as certain as I can be it isn't Bob.

ETA: Sounds like the manager knew he was living in there.

Did anybody else notice that at the bottom of the story on the link I posted, the LA Times has links to three other stories, including a missing woman found at the bottom of a steep canyon? I'd like to know where that canyon was, but they've messed up the links. If you click on the missing woman link, it takes you to the story about an accident near Bob Hope Airport.

Really annoying.

this is the correct link

google: "Angeles Forest Highway at Mt. Gleason Road" for the map. I don't know how to post a map on here.

Thank you, SpicySun. I just couldn't find that article last night.

I see where it is now. That poor lady seems to have been the victim of an auto accident, but I think that's the stretch of highway someone mentioned as being a 'dumping' ground of choice for the LA area. It's a long way from Placentia - over an hour and a half - though.

I still feel Bob is probably not too far away from home. Maybe somewhere not only familiar to the person who took him there, but maybe to Bob himself?

Bumping my post from the previous page.

Anyone have an update on what is happening with the court doc of the secret agreement which was going to be posted prior to the Disappeared show airing? Or is that a done deal and not happening?

It's me bringing up the LA Times because I'm searching for any updates on the Cabazon case. I can't find anything - even the original report on the Sheriff's website. Apparently Riverside took charge of the investigation, but if it's there, I can't see it.

As for the secret agreement.....I don't know. Wish I did.
