There is really nothing I can say about Bob's daughters actions, other than to say there isn't a single thing I can find that they have initiated on their own with regards to finding Bob. All of their actions point in the direction of the money and making their father despicable enough to be not worth finding. If they think their actions appear differently or in their father's best interests, they're fooling themselves.

After all, we all know discussing and rehashing events from more than a half century ago are exactly what it is going to take to bring Bob home.

It's nothing more than an attempt to take the focus off the day of Bob's disappearance. Readers will have to decide which is more important, what occured a half century plus ago, or what occured the day Mr. Harrod disappeared and was likely murdered.

I look forward to the day Bob is found and receives justice. It won't happen soon enough.

Det Radomski - JeM left several times - once to a convenience store and multiple times to home improvement store. Nothing specific mentioned by JeM about Bob's behaviour - JeM suggested Bob may have had an appointment he forgot to mention or he may have became ill. That was one of the things he said - but nothing stuck out to JeM as a destination that Bob had.

Back to the day of Bob's disappearance. What was the reason for "multiple trips" to the home improvement store? Normally when there is work to be done a punch list is made and the contractor or handy man picks up all necessary materials at once. They only reason I can think of for "multiple trips" to the hardware store is if something broke.

Did JeM break anything in Bob's home the day Bob disappeared?

Human remains found. Around an hour's drive from Placentia.

Thanks zweibel. I was looking at that one last night, too. There is another UID out of San Bernardino Co. that I was thinking might be in an area that would have been on the way to Big Bear. Anyone have info in this one?

I wonder what happened to all the money Bob had loaned on it though? And even how much that was.

It's so weird that in his deposition, grandson AH couldn't recall the exact amounts of eye-watering loans, or even the names of his bank accounts, and where they were. Perhaps money just doesn't mean that much to him. I guess that's something only those closest to him would know.

Sorry, realise I left the first sentence off my post above and it doesn't make sense. Should have read; I know the house AH lived in was returned to Bob's estate, but I wonder..etc.

I would love to enter that Placentia photography competition and get a chance to do something creative for Bob, I really would.

I have noticed they do not actually specify Placentia IN THE USA in the 'residents only' rules. Does anyone think I'd get away with it if I could find a Placentia in Europe, a little nearer me, move there for a week, and enter? The dog would appreciate the trip.

But no. A hotel would hardly count as a residency, and it would be very sneaky, if not downright underhand. I'd hate to bring anything like that to Bob's case.

I would jump at the chance to do that for him though, if I was lucky enough to have it.

Good heavens. America is confusing. I was just about to post this update about the body being identified, when I noticed the date. 1969.

Zwie, I think they are talking about two different dead bodies. One was on Live Oak Avenue in Fontana, the other one from 1969 was in the town of Live Oak. The 1969 body was in Sutter County, the latest one from Fontana is in San Bernadino County. FWIW.

Oh, and I've discovered 'Disappeared' has a dedicated bunch of fans in Poland too. They haven't seen Bob's episode, sadly. If it airs there I will be over there like a shot, I tell you. I don't approve of stereotyping, but I have to say that the country as a whole seems such a loyal and family-orientated one. At least the people I know.

Great respect for seniors as well.

O/T but Polish language seems to share very many of the sounds of South American Portuguese. For the life of me I can't work out why.

I need to stop with the geography and maps, don't I? Sigh.

Thanks, Seajay.

I'm not too embarrassed. That's what comes from searching for a missing person in California, from Germany. If only I didn't need to....if only Bob had children and in-laws living in California.

Oh, forgot. He has.

  • #314
Do you know, in the light of the above, I think I'm just going to double check Poland is where I think it is and hasn't moved suddenly, or anything.

Oh no. You are doing fine. I admire how much you know about the United States. To tackle our local geography is exceptional. I couldn't do it. You are awesome Zwie. You are half way around the world and are doing more to find Bob then his own family. Don't ever be embarrassed about trying to figure out where Bob is. All of us have been wrong on some of our guesses. Keep up the good work. :)

I just wish I had come across Bob's case earlier. What I would really like for Bob's case is one of those 'driving route' videos, shot from a car with some commentary about the terrain. That's the sort of 'map' that gives me a real picture.

I could easily have arranged that several times in the past, but I didn't know Bob was missing then. There is a chance it just might be possible this year, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I am sure Oriah would have some suggestions for routes that it might be worth taking a look at.

BBM. Its not that odd to me because my dad is rather infamous for making repeated trips (on the same day) while in the middle of a project. Either he bought the wrong size of something or something else comes up while fixing it and he needs a new part. And sometimes he just forgets something...'specially if the grandkids are with him ;-)

I think it really depends on what tasks were being tackled. Mr. Cya is a contractor. Sometimes he will have to make multiple trips to the hardware store or DYI center because a screw or bolt will snap unexpectedly during a repair, the initial task may have revealed unanticipated work needed, etc.

I am not sure how suspicious multiple trips might be without knowing the work planned and what exactly was being done.

  • #319
Ok, maybe multiple trips aren't so unusual, but are they usual for small jobs? And why did it take almost 4 years for the public to learn there were multiple trips out? And why then no multiple hardware store reciepts? AFAWK the only hardware store receipt is time stamped 3:04pm, hours after the housekeeper arrived.

It doesn't make sense to have multiple trips out but only one receipt.
And why didn't Jeff ever go back to finish the jobs he left undone?
Why didn't he accompany his wife dth the following day?
The dogs aren't an excuse. JeM and JuM have left the dogs for a regular 8 hour or so work day in the past, why not the day following Bob's disappearance?

If all the times and purchases for the multiple trips can be verified, including any trips to dispose of waste material or any other purposes, then it doesn't matter how many trips were made, I suppose.

Yet all we seem to have heard about is that 3.04pm receipt from Home Depot. It doesn't add up. Sis in law heard JeM announce to Bob he was going to the hardware store between 11am-12pm. What about that? Does LE's, "JeM was were he said he was" apply to that trip too, I wonder.

That is such an ambiguous statement by the way, I think. Nothing like as definitive as the 'hairdresser has a solid alibi' remark by LE.
