They, as in the daughters, I believe is what Angelo was getting at.

Thanks, Seajay. I understood that, but it was Loomis who provided the information in the episode.

So, the houseeper says she arrived at 12noon.

Just to give newcomers a taster, here is a timeline of when Bob went missing, compiled from statements by Bob's daughter, JuM. She is the wife of the son-in-law who was working in Bob's house the day he disappeared, and who must have known approximately when he left the house. And know approximately when he got back and noticed Bob was missing.

11am - JuM told Mrs Harrod this in a phone call, according to Mrs Harrod.

11am - a posting on a website by someone claiming to be JuM (rimoftheworld)

Maybe one? Noon? - JuM in an interview with ktl TV.

Unknown time - JuM told Mrs Harrod that son-in-law had seen a very suspicious car driving by Bob's house for 10 minutes, and Bob probably got in it.

Meanwhile....the cleaning lady says she arrived around 12 and Bob was gone then, and son-in-law was just returning to the house. And son-in-law told her Bob must have gone to see a neighbour.

Son-in-law is widely reported in the media, via police statements, to have produced a receipt for 3.04pm from Home Depot as establishing where he was when Bob went missing?

Later that night, son-in-law's SON tells police there had been fighting in the family and Bob probably left because of that.

Summary: Bob disappeared at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 3pm.
He got into a suspicious car, he left because he was frustrated at family fighting, he went to see a neighbour.

JuM posted at 1:50pm, on ROTW the day after her father disappeared that her father had been missing for approximately 28 hours.

That would put the time of Mr. Harrod's disappearance at 10am on July 27, 2009.

JuM is married to the last known person to see her father alive.

I'm going to post my notes in 3 parts. I was writing fast, so not sure the notes are error-free. The section about the housekeeper was transcribed from the previous clip posted on the Disappeared site and then removed. I don't think anything was changed from that version.

I thought the cleaning lady said Bob had changed the day from Tuesday to Monday because his new wife would be arriving soon.

Agnes: Bob always was home when I went over there, or if, him and Georgia, they would always always tell me if they would not be home, and they put a key in the mailbox. But it was a very rare occasion that they were not home.

Narrator: After about 15 minutes, Jeff drove up to the house.

Agnes: I told him right away that, you know, that where Bob is, because he’s not answering the door. And Jeff was just asking me, “Are you supposed to be here today?” I said, “Yeah, Bob knew that I’m coming today.”

Narrator: Agnes was surprised to hear that Bob didn’t tell Jeff that she would be coming that day. As Jeff let her in the house, she began to feel that something was very wrong.

Thanks Angelo! Fixed.

I did have 10am, and changed it 11am at the last minute.

I blame JuM. Her timelines can confuse anyone.

Score, that's exactly what I thought. That's pretty much what Agnes the cleaning lady said. He changed the day because of when Fontelle was coming back from MO.

Notes – 2 of 3

Narrator: But Jeff was not the only person at Bob’s house that day. Agnes, Bob’s housekeeper of more than 10 years, arrived around Noon. Normally, she cleans Bob’s house on Tuesday, but this week she’d arranged to come on Monday.

Agnes: And he said that will be fine, I will be here, and Jeff is coming and he’s gonna to take care of a couple of things in the house before Fontelle comes. So I went to the house, knocked on the door, nobody answered, I looked in the mailbox because that’s where he normally leaves me the key, the key wasn’t there, so I sat on the bench in front of the house.

Narrator: The situation made her very uneasy. Nothing like this had ever happened before.

Agnes: I was really concerned at that point, I was afraid to go upstairs, I didn’t want to find anything. So I asked Jeff if he would go upstairs and see if Bob was there.

Narrator: Agnes waited at the bottom of the stairs while Jeff went up to have a look around.

Agnes: I thought he’s just going to look into the room, it takes a minute to go up, look into the room, and just see if Bob was there or not. But he actually ended up spending a couple of minutes there, so I thought maybe, you know, he find something, he find him there or something. So I yelled up, I said, “Is he there, is he ok?” And he said, ‘No, he’s not here.” And then he came back.

Narrator: Uncertain about what to do next, Agnes began cleaning, while Jeff resumed his repairs. As she worked her way around the house, she noticed something disturbing.

Agnes: When I went upstairs, I saw that in his bedroom, the bed was unmade, and never in the 10 years I worked for them, that happened before. It was just so out of character for him to not to make the bed, I just thought it was very strange.

Narrator: Deeply troubled, Agnes finished up and left, shortly after Jeff, who had also completed his work.

Agnes: I was there all together about 3 hours. I can honestly tell you that during the whole time I was there, I was very concerned. I kept thinking, where is he at?

Josie was a married woman who cut Bob's hair <modsnip>. No, I would not be pleased in the least with her behavior at my Mother's Memorial so soon after her passing.

Mr. Harrod did not find any kind of 'love' with Josie.

Truly sorry about your losses. :-(

~jmo~

The small phrase that was removed referred to 'more' about his relationship with Josie as was clearly demonstrated in the episode; that is, the 'more' is that she borrowed money from Mr. Harrod.

Sorry Shana - I wasn't referring to 'Love" with Josie (different parents - I know it's crazy). While I loved (love?) my mother dearly, I know that the last years of her life were not good for my (step) Dad. It was brutal! He actually said, "I'm probably going to need counseling after this" I would love to see him happy (he's been my 'Dad' since I was 8). Even if it was at my mother's death - once again - perspective. After a prolonged death, happiness is a welcome sight.

I'm really not concerned about how anyone acted at the memorial service. What is more concerning is that Bob disappeared the day after heated family disagreement in which he announced he was adding Fontelle to the house and accounts. IMO.

I thought the program was very well presented....

those that have followed case, what do you think?

I agree. I thought it was very well done.

  • #679
I thought Agnes's statement about the bed not being made was very interesting. Was Bob an early riser? What time did he usually make his bed?

  • #680
So now we have the timeline Bob went missing down to between 10:30 am and noon?? Is that correct. He went missing in that 1 1/2 hour?? JeM got there at 9:30 am, and Bob disappeared between 10:30 am and noon. I wonder what time that other receipt says?

The detective said that even though he provide two receipts, it doesn't cover all the time that Bob would have disappeared.
