My notes
PB tried to Find Fh

Not caught up, but yes, this was HUGE! HUGE!

According to Paula, Bob had asked HER to find Fontelle in January. PB said she tried and couldn't because Fontelle had married. This tells us Bob started looking for Fontelle before Fontelle had contacted him later that spring.

So much for the 'Fontelle planted memories of a relationship which never existed', and that the Bob Harrod she dated before the Korean war was someone other than their dad, theory. (My step dad, former Chief of Police said, what'd she do, hypnotize him from Missouri?)

Looking at the pictures of young Bob Harrod and old Bob Harrod there is no mistaking those ears. They stick out and are kinda big. Same ears in ALL the photo's which include a clear shot of Mr. Harrod's ears.

back to reading to catch up.

But yes, that Bob tried to find Fontelle first, is huge.

Your Dad's funny, Cubby.

I noticed specifically that Loomis said 'contrary to what family said ' then they spoke with doctor.

Jmo

Yes, I noticed that too. I think there were a few contradictions which Det. Loomis pointed out.

back to catching up.

I thought Agnes's statement about the bed not being made was very interesting. Was Bob an early riser? What time did he usually make his bed?

Agree!!!!!

Thank goodness Agnes was there that day!

I agree. I thought it was very well done.

and, thank you, for clearing up my previous post.

seems the cleaning lady changed her day from tuesday to monday....

All the suggestions about made up photos, made up relationships, etc are just utterly silly in my opinion.

Bob and Fontelle were both born and bred in Missouri. There's probably loads of people there who knew about them, or could verify their relationship. And Bob gave TV interviews, and newspaper interviews about it.

I don't think it's fair to refute his own words, when he's not here to defend them. Through no fault of his own.

I am so happy this show aired. Mr. Harrod deserves to be found!

Okay, after watching the program and reading some posts on this thread, here's my initial impression about Bob's disappearance. Based on gut instinct and the fact that this case screams "greedy money-grubbers", I'm inclined to believe there was foul play involved, and more than one of Bob's immediate family members are involved.

I don't think it's his new wife nor the hairdresser. They weren't in his will. And the hairdresser would want Bob alive in order for him to siphon money to her.

Purely speculating based on two things: 1) physical proximity factor, and 2) the fact that most women do not act alone, I lean towards the perps being the son-in-law who was presumably repairing Bob's house that day Bob suddenly "vanished into thin air", his wife (Bob's youngest daughter) and their son (whom I believe I read owes a lot of debts). The SIL's alibi of frequenting several stores are iffy, as if he was deliberately trying to collect store receipts to use as alibis. Also from video clips, the daughter did not appear genuine. She barely maintained any eye contact with interviewer and appeared to keep looking up and to the left often -- signs of deception. JMO

Agnes arrived around noon!

Yes, I'd love to hear Shana's opinion on why the noon arrival time wasn't edited out.

It gets even better when Det. Radomski states Jeff provided police with two receipts. :what: Two, just two.....

We know one was for the 9-9:30am visit to the convenience store, which we knew about per an email from a reporter, back in thread 1 IIRC. The second being the 3:02 time stamped receipt from Home Depot.

Glad to have the number of receipts Jeff provided police confirmed and for Det. Radomski's confirmation there was still a window for something to go wrong.

I guess we are still left wondering where Jeff came from when he arrived at noon to find the housekeeper waiting on the bench outside Bob's home.

Good question. I don't think I've seen anything about whether Bob was an early riser or what time he usually made his bed. Very telling his bed was not made.

Agnes: When I went upstairs, I saw that in his bedroom, the bed was unmade, and never in the 10 years I worked for them, that happened before. It was just so out of character for him to not to make the bed, I just thought it was very strange.

So now we have the timeline Bob went missing down to between 10:30 am and noon?? Is that correct. He went missing in that 1 1/2 hour?? JeM got there at 9:30 am, and Bob disappeared between 10:30 am and noon. I wonder what time that other receipt says?

The detective said that even though he provide two receipts, it doesn't cover all the time that Bob would have disappeared.

I still have the same questions about the time. The narrator (not Agnes) says Agnes arrived about Noon, but Radomski gave an interview posted on another site and said she arrived about 3PM.

Josie the barber. She cut both Bob and Georgia's hair.

Paula: She became more involved in his lif after their mother died.

Roberta: At memorial service he acted like he was more at a party then a memorial service, hanging out with Josie.

Paula: she was taking financial advantage of her father, she saw it in his accounts.

Dad didn't loan money usually outside the family. Loans to family were documented and a business arrangement.

Dad loaned $15,000 to Josie. They called elder abuse people. They found he was being abused but was of sound mind to not pursue it.

15,000 to Josie in January. The same month he gave each of his 3 daughters 15,000 and asked them to leave him alone for 6 months.

Yet later on in the police report (legal doc thread, Shana), police found the bed made.

But son-in-law's wife found it necessary to come down to Bob's house next morning and change the sheets?

Josie's whereabout was looked in to. States she did not drive by Bob's house, LE confirmed this alibi.

Paula: Josie's motive, to not have to pay back all the money she owed him.

Loomis: Josie wouldn't get rid of Bob and get rid of the Goose who laid the golden egg.

Another HUGE HUGE point made during the show. LE confirmed Josie's alibi. (and that is a direct quote from LE during the disappeared show.)

Hi, first time poster here!

So let me get this, son-in-law who was working on Mr Harrod's house had a son that owed Mr Harrod a big sum of money. Son-in-law had the key to the house to let the cleaner in. Grandson specifically mentioned that he thought the loan ended on his grandfather's death despite them actually not knowing what happened to him.

Do we know about the grandson's financial situation other than the amount of money he owed? Perhaps he owed money to quite a few people, and the payment to Mr Harrod was one that would have pushed it to the point where debt collectors needed to come in. Thinking he could squirm his way out of it for a few months, then comes the family discussion - if people thought it was possible that Mr Harrod could have wanted to 'cool off' after it, surely something must have been said that he didn't like. Grandson's father then takes the opportunity to rid his child of the debt.

Just a theory? Everything in my gut tells me this comes down to the grandson's debt in some way.

Family meeting: Bob, daughters. Argument about how the trust was carried out. Bob was suppose to report as trustee as to the status of the bypass trust.

They demanded answers and he didn't answer. He got test with the questions. Documents were missing but Julie found them. He got "testy." Then things calmed down and they were laughing and joking and talking about Fontelle's coming to stay with Bob. Everyone was fine. Joked about the barber. Everyone left on good terms according to Roberta.

Bob told Fontelle about the fights. Roberta is always the first to start arguing. Told Fontelle is wasn't about the trust it was about Bob telling them he was adding the accounts and house in her name when she got back from MO.

Roberta: It was not about Fontelle. He never said such a thing. Not part of the discussion. He never shares personal matters with anyone.

BBM. That was actually Paula, Bob's eldest daughter. Roberta is the middle daughter with the little bit of grey in her hair.
