She can donate a kidney to a total stranger, but can't drag herself away from the computer, even for a few minutes, to search for her father.
I'll take "She's Altruistic for 100 Alex" ...![]()

Even while on her computer, JuM did not post anything about the Disappeared episode featuring her father's case. JuM averages over 20 posts a day on her community forum.
Yes!! If Bob were planning on adding Fontelle to his accounts, etc. perhaps anything suspicious would have come to light? I dont really know how all that works.
Okay I will give you a summary about medications. I was prescribed Wellbutrin not for smoking but it caused seizure activity. I had seizure activity when I was in college (Nursing School) I was an 'A' student, pushed myself and started having 24/7 migraines, I kept going on and on until I started to have seizures and had to stop school and was hospitalized, even my EEGs showed abnormal activity, then they thought I had a brain tumor, it was not a happy place to be. I worked around it, tried to get back into the Nursing Program and they would not allow me as I was on Dilantin. So I went out and became a Pharmacy Tech and eventually bought a bike, got my own apartment and moved on with my life before I was 19 years old. Pushing it was was an understatement. Maybe TMI but heck there it is
I received an e-mail this morning from the Bone Marrow registry when I signed up at City of Hope in 1990, as Jeff and I were platelet donors, my platelets matched a young boy from New Hampshire who survived his bone marrow transplant due to my platelets. Now the difficult decision is...how can I turn my back on someone in need for a transplant. The best thing I did was donating a kidney 11 years ago, she lived for 10 more wonderful years but the heartache of her passing the end of this year broke my heart, she did not die from the kidney, she had a massive stroke in her sleep, her husband called and kept thanking me for the best 10 years of her life. *sigh* I think I should not do this bone marrow donation as I am having so many physical issues and needing my hip replaced, the transplant would stall the hip replacement for another 6 months. OMG, I can change another life, this is all preliminary right now as I'd have to go through all the testing again... When should I say no? If I say no, would that be selfish? I come to my over the fence friends and share as my husband might have to have a bone marrow transplant if his lymphoma comes back aggressively...what if someone matched him but did not come forward...this decision is another life changing event, I am so torn.
**HUGS** to all.
Okay, I just called the bone marrow registry and discussed my health, since I have degenerative osteoarthritis and having to have a major joint replaced, they said my health is more important and that they told me they cannot put me through the donation. Okay, now I can go ahead without the heart wrenching decision...they made it for me. I will remain in the registry if at a later date they need me they will again contact me.
I also found a series of posts that detail her pre donation health issues including what she claims is significant seizure activity-

Thanks for the awesome responses!!
Yes, one of the things I was looking for was her postings (and how much she posted) before Bob went missing so that I could compare it to the content and almost compulsive posting that was done after he disappeared. and "odd" behaviors.
Yes, I know the will is public record....and they could pick it up, and if they did in person the court would issue a receipt for the cost. We can't sleuth that but LE could.
I have a background of courthouse research....a document specialist as in title searches and abstracts..which means anything that has ever effected a given property from birth to death records to wills to marriages and divorces & liens. I am burnt out on it and disabled now but it is very tedious and why I have not yet looked at the court records.
I would have to make due diligence notes and chase everything.
That said..to say that yes, many people file and record their trusts too. I wish Bob had. This super secret nonsense is a crock!
Of course I cannot do a mental status exam but I think I may have noticed some things.
Excessive posting when stressed with scattered and disordered thoughts. Flat or inappropriate affect.
I will keep looking.
I am trying to flesh out the characters in this case first and just following my curiosities.
Now, still need to finish reading this thread.
Wish I had been taking notes! I don't want to read them all again, but think I should. sigh.
What does BBM stand for?
Thanks for the awesome responses!!

Academic article on altruistic donation, for anyone who is interested. From a quick skim, main character traits associated with it are benevolance and leadership.
Can't fault JuM here, imo. She did a very good thing for someone and really helped publicise the cause.

I had some thoughts on Long Lost Love.
1. The pics of first wife Georgia. JuM looks a lot like her.
2. Detective Radomski used the H word! The heated word.....He'll be in trouble with the daughters. Hope he doesn't surf forums.
3. Fontelle said she reported Bob missing at 8pm.
4. Disappeared had Bob getting up at 9am. Did he get a call then so they know that, does anyone think?
5. Grandson AH and son-in-law JeM were not shown at the heated meeting.
6. PB says the meeting was not about the money, just info about the money they were demanding. And it was Bob's choice to be completely private about his money. Uh?
7. Daughters consulted an attorney within a couple of days about how to get Mrs Harrod out of Bob's house. So RB can safely say 'We didn't ask her to leave'........our attorney told us what to say. As if they had no choice and the attorney made them do it.
8. That weird, 'someone dark, very dark' did it comment by RB. I noticed the hairdresser was dark-haired and darkish-skinned. That's not some sneaky way of still hinting she is to blame, is it? Without coming out and saying it?
9. I think daughters came over as civil and grieving. When compared to their online personalities.
10. I always wondered why the housekeeper seemed to have just about escaped the general fate of everyone else anywhere near this case, or who has ever shown an interest in it. Having watched her, I think I know. She seemed so unbiased and genuine, I think it would be very difficult to discredit her.
11. I like the way the 'suspicious black car' theory has been so discredited producers deliberately (imo) put a white one in. Still, you never know. Someone might yet come forward and say they saw a white vehicle behaving suspiciously that day.
Random thoughts in 'film studies' mode:
It struck me the actors were very aware of the characters of the people they were playing. I'd love to know where the info was gathered, and how much they read up. I think they all did a good, professional job. Some parts were cut to a mere glimpse, but still imparted a good idea of the 'essence' of the person portrayed.
Er, JeM; the lighting (dark, very dark),the clank of tools, the perspective of the house, and Bob, and the housekeeper, through his eyes. Hitchcock's influence continues to inspire, no?
The script and the storyline; I can imagine being asked to distill Bob's entire case into brief dialogue and an easy- to-comprehend, short story line, where viewers completely unfamiliar with the case can get a good idea of what it's all about. I can imagine having a nervous breakdown too, and becoming the perpetual madwoman in the attic, never to surface again. Well done guys. Very well done.
Motif: I'm always rubbish at spotting that. Windows through windows, vertigo, rosebuds etc; it's all been known to go straight over my head. You have to view again and again to spot that.
Dare I suggest though, despite having seen the episode once, that both the motif - and indeed the motive - in 'Disappeared', 'Long Lost Love', is.......money?
I have not seen the program yet..looking forward to it.
I have a theory about one of the daughters and would really like to take a closer look at postings well before and then after Bob"s disappearance. I understand those links cannot be posted on this public forum but wonder is someone can PM them to me?
Frankly I see hints of a certain mental illness being present and not properly treated...which might account for certain inexplicable seeming things.
Still wonder if any of the daughters had any history of domestic violence and esp if there has been any between JuM and JeM.
I am afraid I am techie challenged or could research that myself..but am not familiar with criminal records or police reports.
I also wonder why Bob (and Georgia) did not have their trust recorded at the county courthouse? It's common practice to do so and costs little. His personal one, as well. hmmmm.
totally MOO
LINK HERECD just FYI, have not talked about it much but I am BP. Finally after years and years dealing with the dark side I am finally on all the right stuff, it does sometimes take years to get it all straight. Even when it is all straight I still have drop-offs to a very dark place, I sleep it off and usually am fine once the couple of days pass. I always felt embarrassed about it but it is just like diabetes, they have to have meds to live, others have major things that need meds too. Too many things happened within a couple of years that really took me down, I had to pull myself up and decide I have to move forward (doctors orders).![]()
