Home Depot rents carpet cleaners.

product_carpet-cleaner.jpg

They are super inexpensive to rent. 24.97 for the day. And then the cost of the cleaning solution which is not expensive.

http://www.homedepotrents.com/carpet-cleaning.asp

They have an attachment for stairs and are super easy to use. My mom and I did mine and my mom was over 60 at the time. They are so easy, if someone can push a stroller with a child in it, they can use this type of carpet cleaner. The hardest part is probably dumping the dirty water.

I wouldn't expect Bob to attempt it himself, but I see no reason why JeM or JuM wouldn't be quite capable of operating the above type of carpet cleaner.

These types of carpet cleaners are also available at some grocery stores and discount stores such as Dollar General in my area.

CaExile says Bob told him that.

He also says:

Bob and his grandson were very close. He is a good guy as well. He is also a member of the lodge. I am sure he joined because of Bob. He has a wife and kids as well. I believe Bob had a big hand in him getting the financing to buy his house. I like him. I do not know him that well. He works a lot in computers. He travels for work a lot as well.

I have to get some work done....many interesting thoughts here!!! later...

Oh gosh, sorry, o/t but.....why haven't we got Home Depot in Germany? It's just not fair.

Also, not all falls are open head wounds with a lot of blood. I think it is also possible a closed head wound may have occured in Bob's case.

Yes, such as a head hitting the smooth surface of toilet tank or tank cover.

Oh, no! I do not mean there was only the one motive.....I see 4 strong ones operating all at the same time.
There may well be more.

I wanted to bring this forward for no reason other than it made me cry today. This is why we're here.

Whether or not we agree with what happened, we're here. I pray Fontelle can feel all of our support and Love.

:rose: Bob and Fontelle :rose:

I love that they ended the Disappeared episode with Fontelle's words!

"Since I lost Bob, my life has been a nightmare. When I go to bed at night, the last thing I think about is Bob and its the first thing that comes to my mind when I open my eyes in the morning. And I don't know if it will ever end.

But you know what, I'm a tough old lady and if they thought this Missouri hayseed, or whatever you want to call me, was going to pack up and go home, I won't! I'm staying here.

I want to see justice."

There are examples on the WWW of deaths and injuries caused by toilet tanks and lids.

"She said that after Bailey slammed Bowersox face-first into the toilet, he began punching him in the head. The alleged victim was then taken to Chambersburg Hospital, where he was diagnosed with multiple facial fractures, a broken nose, extensive bruises and a back injury.

When police spoke to the Bailey siblings, both denied the assault and said Bowersox was only at the apartment for a short time, according to the affidavit. The troopers then looked in the bathroom and saw a shattered toilet tank and water all over the floor."

Yes, such as a head hitting the smooth surface of toilet tank or tank cover.

This happened to me. A very heavy door fell on me during renovation work. There was some blood, because it also had glass in it.

The real damage was the weight of it descending on my skull though. I was young, very fit and very strong for my size. It still knocked me completely silly for a minute though, and when I managed to summon the strength to lift the door off my head (the builder who left the door there ran away in terror) I actually had to be helped by a four-year-old, who led me into a house for help.

No permanent damage - I think - but it does bring to mind something I noticed in the Boston bombings. Did any of you see the video with all the runners going towards the finish line, and then the first bomb going off? Did you see how all the runners kept on their feet, some of them not even turning their heads? But the elderly gent's legs just turned to jelly, and he fell? And that lovely LE officer reached out to pick him up?

I'd go link it but you must have seen it and I really find it hard to go through those videos now.

I just think it is a classic example of how an elderly person - even if they are fit and heathy for their age - can be incapacitated quite easily.

I think it's relevant for Bob's case, somehow.

IDK if Bob fell in the bathroom. I do think it is possible he attempted to take refuge from his attacker in the bathroom. I suspect some of the home repairs were due to an attack which occured in Bob's home.

As for how he was transported, I've considered the possibility of rubber or plastic bed/floor liners in JeM's car that were disposed of with Bob. JeM and/or AH renting a vehicle and transporting Bob in a rented vehicle. Whether that be a truck or van from HD, or vehicle from a car rental agency such as Enterprise.....

As for the little we know, what the daughters try to conceal or will not reveal stands out tremendously, imo. Look there. Things are 'hidden' for a reason.

BBM~~~~

Perhaps Mr. Harrod tried to seek safety in the bathroom. Maybe he was trying to hold the door shut and the door was opened with enough force to throw Mr. Harrod against the toilet.

Fontelle and Agnes would be able to say if the repairs done in the bathroom were necessary. Fontelle had been there just a few weeks before and Agnes was there on a weekly basis.

I read something somewhere about leaking shower repairs. That would involve silicone, re-tiling, replacement of a shower tray, maybe. It would not involve the replacement of any toilet ceramics. As I have said before, a leaking toilet is not one of those tasks a person can put on a 'to do' list. It's kinda nasty, and kinda urgent.

Here are two references to an earlier/AM trip to CVS. I’ve also heard it was Rite Aid and donuts and not CVS. I don’t know what is accurate.

Dreamweaver posted (link below):

I emailed PPD detective about time of Home Depot receipt.

I got an email today.

PPD says:

The Home Depot receipt is 3:04. He went earlier to CVS pharmacy.

Via email from OC Register reporter (I can't link):

And yes, Jeff Michaels went to CVS in Placentia in the AM, and he purchased soda and paper plates, according to the police.

I was going through the old posts, re-reading posts from Bob's friend, and reading old links that are still around.
I noticed that Bob is listed as a fugitive case, instead of being listed in the missing person's area of America's Most Wanted. How does something like this happen? If anyone were interested in this case, and didn't have a link, they'd never find him.

I first heard about this CVS trip years ago. That other forum wouldn't allow too much discussion on it, due to it being word of mouth, that the person didn't have more than an alleged email from the police. I'd originally heard/read/whatever LOL that it was paper plates, and something else. Which again, might be part of why we weren't really allowed to declare any of it as fact on the other forum. When I'm thinking about the timeline, I just consider it an errand of some kind, so I don't get too "stuck" on that part.

In Disappeared, Officer Loomis refers to CVS as a convenience store. So, is it CVS, or is it a convenience store?

IMO, in this case, LE considers CVS a convenience store. Especially since many of them are open 24 hours and now carry grocery items similiar to what is carried in convenience stores.

I've been reading old posts/threads, for the last "how ever many" hours. I agree with everyone wholeheartedly. Soda and paper plates is no longer rumor, as it's verified by police. Would sure love it if they were to verify a time on that trip.

I had tried the search feature up in the right corner, and came up with nothing. Did I misspell his name?? :blushing:

Well, gees LOL He's mentioned twice, which is a good thing ;)

Thanks for finding this! :rose:

I found it via google. I didn't use AMW's search site.
