couple of quick questions
Fontelle last spoke to Bob, Sunday night 7 something in the evening, correct?

And the Mon 11 a.m. phone call, someone definitely spoke to Bob?

I was just curious as to whom outside of his children had last spoke to him.
TIA

I think it was 8pm Fontelle always spoke to Bob - I could be wrong though.

Monday morning, we have a call either received or taken by Bob that LE thinks is pretty impeccable, though we don't know who that was. At 10 am.

After that, we have Bob's daughter who says she called Bob between 11am and 12noon (she says she later found out it was probably 11.45), and overheard son-in-law in the background, saying he was going to the hardware store.

I personally don't like that last call because daughter is completely vague about what Bob said, but very precise about what son-in-law was saying in the background. Make of it what you will, I suppose.

And thank you so much for calling in on Bob's thread, sreshowtime!

Yes, LE says there was a call with a NON family member at 10:00 am.

I just finished reading all 40+ pages of this thread, I watched "Long Lost Love" (I downloaded it from Amazon) and I just wanted to thank you all for keeping this thread going. Until a couple of days ago, I hadn't even heard of this case.

IIRC The phone call Monday morning 7/27/09 was "around" 10AM. I dont think it was narrowed down...I think it was probably prior to 10AM, but I am jumping off of JuM's "28 hours missing" start to the timeline.

wow this is certainly interesting, once I have dived into it, all sorts of interesting things and ideas

Were HRD dogs used at the residence or on vehicle(s)?

If Fontelle called Bob every morning and evening, and she talked to him Sun evening, is she the one that talked to him Monday morning in the 10 o clock ish phone call???

Was that her phone call to him Monday morning?

That has caused quite a bit of debate here-I dont know tbh. I actually wonder if it was an outbound call instead of an inbound one. Like if Bob was calling his financial advisor or attorney, given the heated family meeting the day before.

I feel certain they were at one point, but I have no idea when, fwiw. I cant remember if the neighbor who told us OC Sheriff's was processing the house indicated that there were dogs there as well.

As soon as I saw that he had a lot of money and that his daughters had been hounding him about the trust, and how "concerned" they were that someone might be trying to "take advantage" of him, it became pretty obvious what happened. Poor Bob :( He deserved so much better from his family.

Also, they had the police do a "welfare check" on him, when they lived nearby??? come on.. my FIL lives 45 minutes away and we have driven to his house more than once when he didn't answer his phone(everything was ok, fortunately). When my mom was alive I would rush over to her apartment if she didn't answer her phone right away. Nothing they did makes any sense, if they had actually cared about their father.

Was the search the neighbour informed us about the last one, that took place in 2011? I think I can recall asking Oriah if it would have been worth using K9s, so long after the event, and she said yes.

And I definitely recall her saying that a cadaver dog would be able to detect a deceased person, from a living one, even if they had only been deceased a very short time. I do wonder about Georgia passing in the home though - if that might have made extra difficulties.

ETA: I think I asked about that before and someone pointed out the first Mrs Harrod was sleeping downstairs during her final weeks, I think?

And the other contradiction is that at the same time they say they knew nothing about his financial affairs, because Bob kept them so private, and they had no idea how much he was worth. Mmmmm.

One thing I would really love to know is why son-in-law and daughter JuM kept their safe at Bob's house. I mean, who does that? Who keeps their valuables at an elderly parent's home that they haven't lived with for decades?

It's really strange.
