no idea how I managed this...I reckon I got some wild hair to try & put a map on here of around Mr. H's house there on Carnation...since it's been
Almost 4 years!!!...

click on that pic-makes it bigger- take a look around there again

Thanks so much for this sre. I have been hearing some renewed interest off the board about the Fed Ex Routes and drivers around Magnolia, Carntion and Windflower and anything they may have seen. FWIW. Did I need to back through the posts and see if we came up with some timelines for Fed Ex and UPS.

was looking at the map this morning-y'all may have gone over this...I'm a little late to the situation...
by my count there are 11 ways 'out' of Mr. H's neighborhood, looking at Alta Vista, Kraemer & Palm as perimeters. There are no exits to the east.
Out of those 11, there are at least 13 residences that 'face' those exits.
Is it known if those residents were ever questioned as to if they by chance saw an older gentleman strolling by that day? Or if they noticed anything out of the ordinary along the main perimeter roads?
And then along the routes out- were residents ever questioned? Surely there were people out & about, as school wasn't in session ( Morse Ave. Elementary serves that neighborhood) , and I imagine there are some stay at home moms/retirees who might have been out and about that day...or people who had service personnel working that day...or deliveries....

just thinking...probably rambling....

No question that there were people around or looking through their blinds. And there might have been more interest than usual because of the roadwork. I wonder if the roadwork changed the traffic patterns a little? PPD says in Disappeared that they were knocking on doors interviewing people. I think it depends on how quick they were to disabuse the cold feet/dementia theory as to how far they might have moved out whatever perimeter they were working from, tbh. It is probably worth getting out another set of flyers to a larger area of people in order to make sure everyone with possible information has been notified he is still missing.

BBM

I wonder if Mr. Harrod ever went swimming over at his grandson's? Would have been really good gentle exercise for him.

eta- Oh, I wonder if Mr. Harrod's family is planning a candle light vigil for him on the anniversary date of his missing??? They are all there in the general area, correct??
They could have it over there in that Goldenrod Park!! And invite the media, his fellow Masons, and friends, extended family, and neighbors.Everyone! Maybe they could get the Boy Scouts or Marine Color Guard or Veterans group to present the flag or something. Wouldn't that be a great show of solidarity?? TO work together to get his name out there again and a great gesture of care & concern?? After all they want him found don't they?
Wish I wasn't so far, I would surely help.

They've left it a bit late if they are, but here's the telephone number to contact for information about events and where to hold them in Placentia. I'm sure staff there would help for such a good cause, even if it was last minute.

And this is a list and map of all the parks.

I would have thought Mr Harrod could have used the pool if he wanted too - apart from the family relationship, didn't Bob sort of own that house officially, until grandson had repaid the money Bob had loaned? I'm sure he wouldn't have wanted to intrude though, and he might not have felt entirely at ease if it was as luxurious then as it is now. It looks like it's been rented out since April, which shows the conservators of Bob's trust are making efforts to make up for any losses that might have occurred. I don't think it's quite as much as AH was repaying to Bob, but it's something. http://kennystigler.ismyreagent.com...es&show_description=yes&show_virtual_tour=yes

Oh...I was under the assumption Mr. H's grandson & family still lived in that house on Windflower. Gee where did they take off to?

Hmm, well since it was nearby and he supposedly had a good relationship with grandson, I thought maybe Mr. H might have strolled over to visit or swim...

Well, it was a very hot day. Obviously, if somebody had been in the house that day and Bob had popped in, they'd have told LE I'd hope. If the house was empty though, I wonder if police thought to check with neighbours to see if they had spotted anyone or anything. It's all a bit vague who was where and where Bob was searched for, and who talked to who, on the day Bob went missing. It shouldn't be, but it is.

Sigh. So much information - yet still a big void at the center.

AH wasn't repaying anything to Bob.....

Interesting to see how AH spent money when he couldn't make his mortgage loans he owed Bob.

I still find it very, very odd that JuM made the comment, "I'm scared" instead of stating I'm worried. Makes me wonder if she was scared someone was going to get caught. Especially since the housekeeper showed up unexpectedly while JeM was doing 'handy man' jobs.

That choice of the word "scared" over the word worried really stands out to me.

Things have been super busy but I have been skimming.
Thanks for keeping Bob's thread alive everyone.

I was hoping for some positive news in the search for Bob since there were fires not so far away in Riverside Co. We still have the rest of 2013, though.

Your post reminded me about looking up fires, and I found the OC Volunteer fire watch. They are posted in one place, at high-risk times, but the list of partners at this link includes a few groups who would be in a position to BOLO for Bob, I think.

Has anybody found an app that enables nice graphics to be made on an ipad? I've tried a few and none of them are any good.

  • #375
thanks Zwie- just got to try to get it out there, still working on some stuff in that regard- getting the flyer/bolo out there

Okay- I got off on a tangent, Samantha Runnion was found app. an hour away from her home...and that location/area is an hour from Placentia too- up off of Ortega Highway (33.652209, -117.408831) heading to Lake Elsinore. Once I realized where she was found, it did make me go hmmm...as I am sure it was in the news big time back then.....

That is really an interesting location, sre...things that make you go hmmmm.

How is Mr Z, zwie?

  • #377
We are counting on getting the flyer and Bob's find FB page as much exposure as possible so that we can reach hikers and all kinds of folks via social media....can everyone on FB share if they feel comfortable??

Thanks for asking.

Currently, physically; much better.
Long-term; will know this week, we hope.
As a patient; ermmm, he's as good at being a patient as I am at being a nurse.

It's made me think of Mr Harrod looking after his first wife. I'm beginning to appreciate how difficult it must have been for him. And of course it's never just a question of money - the most luxurious nursing home can seem like a very poor second choice with a person who just wants to stay at home. And I suppose the idea of a home nurse - even a wonderful one - can seem like an intrusion until there is time to adjust and accept. The more I think about it, the more unusual it seems that Bob was able to care for his sick spouse, given his age.

Perhaps he was lucky though. Perhaps his relatives were able to provide round the clock help between them. That's a consoling thought, if true.

I think Bob had the compassion and the discipline to give his wife excellent care. As for the outlay of money-IIRC Bob purchased a mini van with the intention of making sure Georgia was transported comfortably. That mini van ended up in the hands of PB, according to PE, because it was not preferred iirc. So rather than return it or sell it, Bob gave it to his oldest. A warm and generous action...ensuring for the comfort of his eldest.

I dont want to lose these posts on the new page. There is a lot to discuss and think about here I believe.
