Or CL and SIL...they were in the house at the same time for pretty much each timeline JuM offered. CL is truly Hollywood beautiful....although something tells me that she is genuine. I dont have the same feeling about SIL, but that is jmvho.

Yes, but the daughters did not publicly name the CL as "the poi". They did publicly make that statement about the BL, even though LE has a solid alibi with receipts for the BL's whereabouts and the only reciepts SIL provided LE were for outside the timeline during which Bob disappeared. (9am receipt - before Bob took the 10:00am call and a 3pm receipt- after the CL's arrival).


I'm more likely to believe, that SIL is covering for his son, the person who defaulted on more than a half million in loans owed to Bob.

SIL has said nothing about his whereabouts between the 10:00am call and the noonish time of CL's arrival (and he has not provided, nor has anyone provided any proof he was at the hardware store at any time during that 2 hour window). Nor has anyone accounted for, or stated where AH, the grandson was during that same time period.

Also, not learning that Bob had sought out Fontelle long before she sought out him, via the disappeared airing and even taping a year earlier than the air date.... That tells me at least one of Bob's daughters has no problem with withholding information which may have assisted or may assist in solving her fathers disappearance.

The reason the concept struck me is that I had a friend who drank themselves to death, who was terrified of dying, knew (I think) what was killing them, but insisted to everyone who would listen it was some rare medical problem and they hoped for a miracle cure. After trying everything else, I tracked down the leading specialist in that rare medical field, and got my friend a consultation.

He said what I thought he would, as kindly as he could, but it made no difference at all. I walked away in the end, after years, because I couldn't watch someone kill themselves, who did not want to die, while asking their loved ones to subscribe to the story this was just a terrible, terrible, stroke of fate - a great, tragic mystery and there was nothing anyone could do.

I still think about the choices my poor dead friend made, and if they were choices at all. And I still think about the choice I made too. I always will.

zwiebel I am so sorry for you and I am so sorry for your friend. There was no winning in your situation. Addiction is so incredibly destructive to friends and families of those who are addicted.

Actually I have often wondered what may have been happening along those lines within the Harrod family prior to Bob going missing.

The thing with addiction, is people either recover or die. It's the sad truth about the disease, and many many people with undiagnosed or untreated mental illness turn to alcohol and/or drugs to help them.... It does in the beginning, but not for long.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, zwie'. It's always tough to lose someone due to addiction.


believe', I have had the same questions myself..... especially with regards to the numerous life or death health issues.... especially since it included comments about prescription drugs. It's not uncommon for people to become addicted after surgery requiring pain medication.......

BBM. With the online behavior we've seen, I honestly wouldn't put anything past Bob's daughters, the sil and grandson. Based on their behavior, they appear to think they're untouchable and above the law.

Maybe I would say 'that confident' instead of 'that stupid'......
I'm long past believing there is a limit to their behavior regarding their fathers disappearance.

That's an interesting observation, zwie.

I've wondered in many a case if there is a correlation between the first BBM of your post, and the second.
Is there simply a certain type of person who resists persistance and competence in whatever area of services one is seeking or wishes to appear to be seeking?

I mean, who goes to the best cardiologist around and is told that they have significant risk factors for heart disease and ought to have XYZ and change their lifestyle and so on and so forth...and then says poo poo they don't know what they're talking about, they just want me in their operating suite??

Patient compliance, particularly in the area of lifestyle changes, is notoriously low. There are plenty of cases of people who have had cancer of the larynx, for instance, who go right on smoking by holding the cigarette up to their tracheostomy hole.

However, compliance on the part of parents for treatment of their children, is totally different. Statistically, there really isn't a problem with parent compliance on behalf of their children because it is so, so rare for parents not to be compliant.

I think the takeaway lesson is that people are much more concerned about the welfare of the people they love than they are about their own welfare.

For me, I know that if a doctor told me that rolling a peanut across the floor with my nose for an hour a day would have saved my mama's life, I would have done it. No problem. If love and money could have saved my mama, well, our family had the love and I know I would not have hesitated to beg, borrow or steal anything that would have saved her.

Isn't that what family is about? Being stronger for one's loved ones than for one's self?

So it is downright weird to me to see a family that apparently operates under the opposite principles.

Your friend had an addiction, a mental illness. An illness that has a terrible prognosis and an equally grim recovery rate. There are lots of forms of cancer where the prognosis and recovery rate is double, triple, quadruple the rate of recovery from addiction.

I'm sorry about your friend.

I don't know if this was a factor in your friend's decision making but it is for many addicts: one of the common characteristics of addiction is for the addict to react to the thought of giving up the addiction with the feeling that their life is being threatened if they have to give it up. If that was a factor, then for your friend it was a choice between die immediately (give up alcohol) or die in a while (of a mysterious condition that could not be averted or controlled).

Sometimes, all you can do for someone is save your own life with the hope that if they take the steps necessary to save their own life, you will be able to help them. But you can't force them to save their own life.

I'm so very sorry.

Imagine my surprise while I was watching the 11pm news just now-there was a featured segment on Bob Harrod!!! There was an interview with Mrs Harrod and with PIO Loomis. There isnt a link up on the website yet, so let me give you an overview from my notes:

First off- SRE's flyer and FB page were front and center in the story. The multiple facebook pages were mentioned as well.

:clap: to all of you who are diligently working on the social media aspect of this.

PIO Loomis is quoted as saying that they have asked assistance from the OC Cold Case Squad and that they are working on the case now. (That means Larry Montgomery I believe folks....prayers answered.) Here is the part that stunned me: PPD believes that Bob's case is a SUSPICIOUS HOMICIDE. And that the suspect is perhaps someone Bob knew.

Fontelle is interviewed and she drops her own bombshell-she believes the bathroom, which was DAMAGED, is the crime scene. She said that Bob was hurt there intentionally or unintentionally.

Bob's children did not respond to requests for comment.
