No mention of that pesky cancer?

Another miracle. I will say that I am completely unfamiliar with the language being used regarding the diagnosis, treatment and cure but no matter.

It is good to know that they are both healthy enough to participate in further efforts to locate Bob.

I wanted to wish Bob a Happy Father's Day wherever he is, but I wasnt sure how he would feel about it. :banghead:

I want to wish all Father's out there a happy Father's Day also. Mr. Harrod was not only a father, but apparently a very giving one.

God bless you, Mr. Harrod- wherever you are. You have made so many of us think of our own fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers.

I can't get over being reminded this morning AH was a mason too, and that it was Bob who helped him become one. It isn't a case of them maybe helping AH if he had appealed for their help in finding Bob - they would have been duty-bound to help their brother. And Fontelle would have been able to get the support the masonic brotherhood offer to members' spouses.

I think AH may actually have encouraged them not to help, and not to respond to any pleas for support in the search for Bob. It's a disgrace, if that's the case. To AH for asking it, and his fellow masons for agreeing. I just found out today a family member of mine was a mason of high standing. I had no idea. He was an extremely kind and honorable man and would have been the first to offer help, without being asked. I can't believe it's the same organisation.

As well, I think it is really interesting that CAExile could personally testify that Bob told him he was about to put everything in Fontelle's name. It's such a shame LE didn't speak to him as soon as Bob disappeared, and didn't follow up on his offer to be interviewed.

I really hope LE did speak to him eventually because his knowledge of Bob certainly helps shed light on possible motives. That makes the threat he says was made by a daughter to stop talking about Bob, look very suspicious as well, imo.

IIRC, PE did not reach out to LE. Fontelle offered his number, but LE did not contact PE. And then PE was complaining about it.

With all due honesty, based on PE's posts, I think PE allowed his ego to get in the way here and wasn't going to call LE first, it was a he'll talk if they call first thing. Which is really a shame, because Det. Radomski specifically reached out and asked for tips/info to keep coming in via the disappeared episode two months ago.
We don't know that PE ever picked up a telephone and reached out to PPD. I sure wish he would. He had mentioned it was too late ages ago, but clearly Detective Radomski does not believe it is too late now.

Then again, PE is on the list of those threatened by Bob's daughters, so who knows.

I just hope he is still willing to talk to LE on Bob's behalf and that he does make contact himself with Det. Radomski rather than letting his pride get in the way and waiting for LE to call him.

According to JuM's recent posts on her community site, JeM is doing volunteer work, their hearts are full, and life is good.

Wow. It sounds like he is healthy enough then to now go out and organize searches and vigils on behalf of his missing father in law. I wonder if we'll be seeing that soon, now that he is available for volunteer work.

I think Paula's testimony under oath in a court of law that her father had documented the money given to the BL as a gift, speaks for itself.

Court documents, including Paula's testimony that her father had documented the money given to the BL as a gift, can be found here.

I wish I could think that Mrs Harrod has recovered so completely from the loss of Bob, but I just don't think she has. :(

Link to judgement for the BL specifically. Compare it to the statements made on Disappeared by RB in particular, it seems like a colossal waste of Bob's money and everyone's time. Just an opportunity to smear someone who actually has an alibi that is not at all in dispute.

I am drifting from the geocaching line we are developing. Can anyone think of any other groups to notify? We are looking at cachers, hikers and national park emergency alert channels.

Cavers and SAR cavers. Ski areas and their employees. Volunteer fire depts, who support many smaller communities who do not have paid staff. Fire jumpers. Surveyors who do flyovers for land purposes.

Want me to keep going? ;)

Can I add one more to your list, the SoCal botanists? Only I know a retired botanist, and have seen the way the still walk with their eyes glued to the ground, looking for a tiny flower or plant to identify amongs the mass of general stuff, and how they know never to touch anything, but just document it. They do lots of organized field trips too, of course;

ETA: Didn't notice but they have a special section for OC field trips. That's more useful to us;

YAY!! I will put another draft of the flyer on the SAR forum today (I hope) and then distribute at will...does that work? If we can keep a running tally of where we sent it, I would love that...then we can minimize cross over.

Let's try and use aspects of the Flyer Distribution project already in place, once we get groups/locations lined up. For further info, head downstairs to the SAR forum.

Shout out to anyone located in or around areas of interest that will eventually be posted in the SAR forum, including anyone who may be travelling to or through the area; please come on downstairs and 'adopt' a flyer. No need to identify yourself or anyone you may be speaking on behalf of (friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, contact lists etc etc.)
All you have to do is 'adopt' an area and print out the associated flyer, then post it- either physically, or online such as in relevant forums.

For example and further explanation, I'll use a fictitous case and put it downstairs in SAR thread.

I just want to say you guys are amazing!! I hope that these ideas will pan out with the recovering of Bob. He needs to go home to Fontelle.

  • #76
Hope I'm keeping up here. That when the areas of interest are posted, we choose one to physically or cyberally(?) distribute Bob's flyer. I hope the areas are defined by a single number or a name or something. If it's co-ordinates, I'm going to be in trouble!

It won't work so well with forums maybe, so we will have to watch out for cross posting there. I hope any groups who do go out in the field and look, are able to let us know if they can. It will be really useful to get feedback about any areas where people have searched.

Once the system is set up, anyone who 'adopts' a location (whether it be physical or cyber) a number will be randomly re-assigned to that area of the master grid. There will only be one master list for the grid, so that we don't double up (unless certain areas need the added distribution.) The coordinates are only an addition to the flyer in the areas of interest. The individual(s) adopting areas don't have to know a thing about them. It's just there for the purpose of gridding, and those who use GPS. It also helps maintain anonymity.

I know it seems a bit confusing at first, but it does work- it's more clear how, once you see it in action. :)

Yes, that is what I was hoping for, to "see it in action". I think then, I'll have a better idea of how this all works.

It sounds amazing and I am really excited about seeing it rolled out.

Lol Oriah; I never doubted it would work - I just doubt my ability to understand how it does so!

Honestly, it is really the best way to cover an area of this size. There is the potential to reach a lot of people. Even people who arent hiking or geo caching are likely to google Mr Harrod's name once they see the flyers in the stores. Then they will find the Disappeared episode, and so on and so on....
