From various things that have surfaced over time, it really does seem that a fair amount of cleaning and rummaging and trash canning went on (RB said she saw what was in the trash). It all seems a bit last minute to have left all those 'preparations for Fontelle' until Tuesday, the day before she was due back.

The more I think about it, the more likely it seems that JuM would have been in the house Monday, with her husband, getting a good start on all those preparations. There is that odd, single media link where it says Bob's daughter and son in law had been helping Bob rearrange things for the past couple of days, before Bob disappeared.

Oh, I forgot to mention AH's answers regarding the money he 'borrowed' from Bob are about as straight forward as the questions about the timeline. The deposition is some interesting reading.

Or if perhaps his wife did in the 48 hours she had full access to Bob's house between the time he disappeared to the time Mrs. Harrod arrived?

She had both doors wide open on a hot July day and was extremely sweaty in the MSM video's. It's possible the house was very humid due to having cleaned the carpet.

My web searches turned up a lot of references in earlier posts to the carpet being cleaned, but I couldn't find a confirming statement regarding whether JuM cleaned them herself, when she was down the hill changing the sheets, or whether Bob had arranged in advance for professional cleaners. The posts were prior to my joining WS and included a reference to JuM posting on ROTW about finding homemade solutions for fluid stain removal. I'm hoping this might refresh the memory of someone who may have the old ROTW posts archived.

I'm sure I've seen something by one of the daughters saying Bob hired professional carpet cleaners, and maybe a hint that he had booked them to come, rather than daughters. I can't find it now though.

Here is a section of Bob's entryway flooring. It is clearer in the smaller original and is definitely tilingor vinyl, rather than carpet.

I am wondering if the vinyl/tiling extended across all the lower level and there was just a rug or two there. I am sure there is a picture of Fontelle in the master bedroom upstairs showing carpet up there though.

It's very possible the downstairs level of the house had the carpet replaced with tile. If Georgia used a wheelchair once she became ill it would make it much easier for her to move around.

Good point. I just went back to look at the memorabilia list to see if any rugs were claimed, but they were not. I did notice though, that a 'captain's bed' in the dining area was listed, so it sounds like either Georgia or Bob were sleeping downstairs at some point. Maybe even getting upstairs with a stair elevator became too difficult for Georgia in the end.

I'm not sure what a captain's bed is though - if it's what we call a chaise longue it's not really suitable for an adult with a disability.

I also noticed on the list that a claim included 'small Winchester gun under the stairs for AH'. Maybe that is why JuM wasn't frightened to go into the house alone the morning after Bob disappeared; she knew where he kept his gun.

Oh, I see. Captain's bed. Quite suitable for someone with a disability. No good if a person is married to someone who is forever leaving drawers open though.

JuM claimed that bed and the bed in the master bedroom, as belonging to her and son in law. Didn't Bob have his own bed then? It just seems so weird to me.

Along with "that's valuable, that's broken, that's just cheap junk and mom wanted us to have that..."

Seriously, poor Bob could be sick or injured somewhere and the vultures are already circling the carcass. Disgusting and shameful on every level.

That's what I recall too. IIRC it was never revealed who cleaned the carpeting, but since it is one of the things that Bob's daughters have chosen not to reveal, I am going to assume that answer is as incriminating as the time line and not revealing the house repairs- or what happened to the money Bob's grandson borrowed from him.

The things that haven't been revealed have told their own story, imo.

What does the video show when JuM was sitting on the couch for the msm interview? It's been some time since I've viewed it, but I seem to recall carpeting in the room and a tiled hallway leading to the room where the interview took place.

I thought I had seen carpeting too, but her feet and the floor are never visible. I know I got mixed up early on, thinking the neighbour's house where they had the wedding reception was Bob's,.....

Here it is. Definitely Bob's house as it's the same sofa JuM was sitting on for the interview. If you look carefully, you can see green carpet at the edges of the table. Either carpet, or a rug. Not sure.

Maybe I'm not understanding you.

Wouldn't the period between Monday and Wednesday (when Fontelle returned) be the ideal period for, um, prophylactic cleaning to go on? You know, change the bed linens, vacuum up any potential dust bunnies, swab every swabbable surface for blood stains... the sort of routine stuff any good family murderer, uh, member would do.

Here in Iowa, what we call a captain's bed is a bed that is built on a platform with cabinets or drawers underneath the bed part.

If Georgia got to the point where she was unable to go upstairs to sleep, she probably had a rented hospital bed (Medicare covers this) and Bob had a captain's bed to keep her company downstairs. I can't imagine him leaving her to sleep alone downstairs if she was so ill or debilitated that she couldn't use the chair lift to go upstairs.

I'm convinced that is what happened.

It also gave them the chance to make sure there was no inconvenient paperwork left behind. Such as notes in Bob's handwriting for a meeting with his attorney that specified what his wishes for providing for Fontelle would be.

As I understand it, the case law on such notes is all mixed up and confusing but there have been occasions in the past where such handwritten notes were upheld in court as being a will.

Or perhaps a note that explains how AH is supposed to keep paying his mortgage in the case of Bob's death? That would be mighty convenient to have disappear.
