I'm finally watching Bob's 'Disappeared' episode today. I can't watch it online because of where I am but I managed to TiVo it today.

By coincidence I realised today is the 5 year anniversary of his disappearance.

I don't know how anyone could harm such a kind, gentle man like Bob. What a handsome young man he was too.

Fontelle seems like such a lovely lady too.

Thinking of you today Bob. I hope wherever you are, you are at peace.

X

A very warm welcome to Bob's thread, Jennibee! Going by the name, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Scottish link in Bob's history, going way back. I really hope so. How I'd love to have the Scots on his side. :)

I would hope so too [emoji4]

One interesting point from the 'Disappeared' show I hadn't heard about before - when Bob's son-in-law arrived back at his house and Agnes was waiting outside. She said when they went inside she asked him to check upstairs for Bob because she was concerned she might find Bob Injured, or dead. She said his son-in-law went upstairs for a period of time and she had to shout out to him to ask if Bob was there, to which he replied no. Why did it take him so long? What was he doing up there? We already know he wasn't expecting Agnes that day. Did she stumble upon a scene that needed to be 'cleared up'?

Just thinking out loud. MOO.

That is exactly what I believe happened. JeM must have been shocked to find Agnes waiting on the porch. Things JeM may have been doing when he went upstairs to "check" if Mr. Harrod was there. He may have been looking for anything incriminating, tidying up a bit, collecting his composure. Most likely all of them.

Thinking of you today Mr. Harrod! Five years gone - but you will never be forgotten!

I never thought this case would go unsolved for five years. I wish Bob's daughters had the same tenacity in finding Bob that they do towards obtaining his money.

It's never too late to do the right thing.

Praying Bob is brought home soon.

Thank you for stopping by the thread Jennibee! There are so many facets to the Disappeared episode-I am thrilled you were finally able to watch it. It is worth pointing out who was noticeably absent from the filming-The Michaels, both Son In Law and youngest daughter. We know that it isn't shyness that kept them away-they seem pretty comfortable with living their lives out in the open...certainly online. In fact, JuM was the one who really started all of the questions regarding the timeline-it was her own words that completely contradicted her husband's version of events.

Then again, maybe she didn't contradict the version of events he related to her at the time of Bob's disappearance.

5 Long years-a lot of media generated by Mrs Harrod, a bitter cruel court battle for Bob's assets, forgiveness of massive loans and debts to immediate family members...it boggles the mind. Through it all, Fontelle has been unflagging. She wants her husband home. Someone knows where he is-just send an anonymous tip to LE.

5 years ago about this time, I wonder where the person(s) who made Mr H go missing were...what they were thinking...how they were going to explain this....
poor Mr H....it seems more care & concern has been shown by total strangers, than those who are supposed to be his family
how horrid to think all of Mr H's hard earned assets probably won't be distributed as he would have wanted them to be

blood money
how's that make you feel?
squirm much?
toss & turn? avoid mirrors? need some tagamet?

"The LORD detests lying lips,
but he delights in those who tell the truth."
Proverbs 12:22

do the right thing...you still can...tell what you know, what you are afraid of & why....don't live the rest of your life with that guilt gnawing at you

Thank you , all of you , for continuing to care about Mr H

Enough is enough. This won't last, I promise you. One of you girls has to come clean, and you will be the only person to have a happy retirement. The alternative would be a nightmare. Contact a lawyer. Save yourself, and clean this up. It is the only way to sleep well at night.

RE: "Plea for positive thoughts & prayers ..."
The concern for dear old dad did not last long out there on the rim of the world; posting went quickly back chat about puppies & such. Sorry Pops. Out of sight, out of mind.

JuM posted on her community forum at 1:50 pm the day after her father disappeared. Twenty-eight hours prior to 1:50 pm would put the time of Mr. Harrod's disappearance at around 10:00 am.

Plea for Positive Thoughts and Prayers - My dad is missing

I need to request positive thoughts and prayers. My father has been missing approx. 28 hours ago. We suspect foul play, but want to remain as positive; his new wife will be arriving with her belongings tomorrow. My father's name is Robert Harrod in Placentia; his new wife Fontelle Heeter-Harrod is just besides herself, please pray for his safe return.

On the same day she gave a different time in a TV interview.

Reporter: “Julie says her husband was with her dad, at his home yesterday. He went to the hardware store alone. When he came back…”
Julie: “My dad was gone.”
Reporter: “What time?”
Julie: “We’re thinking maybe 1, noon?”

Good idea!

To direct descendants of Mr Bob checking here to monitor our comments on this important anniversary:
Websleuth posters are obviously suspicious. The cops are too & could come knocking on your door at any time. Your parents taught you the difference between right & wrong. Relieve yourself of that 5-year load. Make the call. A clear conscious is worth much more than money with your dad's blood on it.

The rules here do limit me, but I have to say that for one of you, this may be your last chance to come clean and save yourself from repercussions in the future. I am hoping that you have your own lawyer, one that I hope is not the same lawyer as your sister Ju. I would submit that it is in your interest to talk to your lawyer. It could get, how should one put it?, more stressful down the road.

Well, the day of Bob's fifth missing anniversary is almost over in California. It must have been nervewracking for some. No offence, but I'd be living in dread if I'd done something wrong and knew Larry Montgomery and the rest of that OC team were investigating it.

I'd be pretty scared about some of the prosecutors in OC too -imagine what they'd do in court with some of the inconsistent stories we've seen in this case.

Any postings from Rim of Hell about Dear Father's missing anniversary?

After the conclusion of the Kim Pham murder trial recently, Deputy Orange County DA Troy Pino became tearful at the tragic waste of life. When prosecution teams really care about getting justice for victims, it makes all the difference in the world to investigators, I think. They know the support is there for bringing offenders to trial, no matter how long it takes.

My God!
It looked a bit like it could rain this afternoon, but THAT? How sad.

That's made me think of people who cover up for killers and continue to live jeek by jowl with them - they must be dedicated subscribers to the 'lightning never strikes twice' theory.
