I am fairly new on ws and this is one TOS that I don't understand. Are you saying it is ok to sleuth pressors on a victim? Because you are stating you only know what has been reported. I have noticed on other forums, that people are sleuthing victims, so I am confused.

I only wondered about Fontelle because I felt so bad for her. The stress of having to deal with all the conflict with Bob's offspring coupled with his disappearance must have been horrific for her. My query was all in good faith and out of concern. Thanks for your response.

Oh, I didn't meant to imply you you were sleuthing Fontelle - I phrased my answer really badly! I understood your concern for her - A concern that I think many of us share. I still wonder how Mrs Harrod managed to get through the trauma of suddenly being alone in a strange state, with her new husband missing. In some people, having a missing loved one seems to bring out an amazing, steel-like determination and strength. I think Mrs Harrod is probably one of those people.

I wonder how often Bob's daughter JuM and SIL JeM read Bob's thread here? It must suck to have to live your life always looking over your shoulder, knowing everybody thinks (with good reason) they are responsible for Bob's disappearance. It's only a matter of time...

maybe this was covered way back, I can't accurately recall, but Fontelle said she always spoke to Mr H twice a day....like morning and evening
What I have ALWAYS wondered is if indeed it was she that spoke to him at that 'last' known call , according to LE, that established he was there around 10 a.m. ( and yet she could not reach him that evening....)
It has never been stated she spoke with him that morning....why would she deviate from routine?
I don't understand why LE is guarding that 'last' phone call identity so close?
Do they know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Mr H was INDEED spoken with....was there enough of a conversation that the other caller KNOWS it was Mr. H through the context of the conversation? I mean was it Fontelle, the cleaning lady or who?
I am really perplexed as to the why the identity of that caller has not been released.
What if they could shed further light on Mr H's mood that a.m.

was it ever established that AH was gainfully employed at that point in time, and did he have an office outside of the home?

If he worked from home, did he entertain clients there, or go to them?

I always wondered about this as well. Why wouldn't LE say who was the last identified caller to speak to Bob. Could it had been the cleaning lady?

I think we've been unfortunate with Bob's case. Some LE just have a policy of withholding all information from the public. Sometimes it works out. In Bob's case, it didn't.

Now they've seen how it backfired, I don't quite understand why there hasn't been a change of direction though. Maybe it will take a brave person. Someone brave enough to take a bucket of ice-water on their head, for example. Without flinching.

O/T-Not really a fan of the President, but I can see why he opted not to; and think it was a little tacky of Ethel Kennedy to nominate him to do it as he came to Massachusetts for his vacation.

I would also refuse point blank to do it - I hate the cold and can't think of anything worse.

Except if it led to the location of Bob Harrod. Then I'd probably do it. But I think I'd have to be tied to the chair because I'd run away as soon as the bucket drew near.

All seems to be peaceful in Placentia at the moment. Apart from the tragic, accidentall drowning of a man gardening, who was wearing a leaf blower, nothing much is happening.

It seems to go like that; uneventful for years, and then suddenly, someone inexplicably disappears, or there's an awful crime. I don't know, I just feel like something's just about to happen. Maybe an arrest? Or Bob being found?

I don't know why, but I really do think that the person(s) responsible for Bob's disappearance will eventually face the music. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but...I think it will happen.

I think you are right. I really do. There is too much fire power that has been thrown at this case for it to go "unsolved." It seems clear, from the glimmers we have seen, that LE continues to investigate even if it is off the grid.

I personally feel that Bob will be found in water. Running Springs CA is a mountain town not far from two, well known lakes, Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrowhead. It doesn't take long to get there from Placentia. I have been going to both of them since I was a child, they are my favorite places to be in CA........just thinking and caring about dear Bob Harrod.

A 1979 murder of a nurse, Lynne Knight, has just been resolved, which makes Bob's case look positively warm!

The man involved lived in OC and has just been found guilty.

I didn't follow the trial but it looks like an implausible alibi (sailing alone, in the dark); a single item of physical evidence (wire found in his home was the same type used to strangle poor Lynne); and finally, evidence of his anger towards her, was enough to make up the jury's mind.

Obviously though, the big difference is that Lynne's body was found, and Bob's hasn't been, yet. Prosecutors seem to be growing much more confident about bringing no-body cases though.....
