Virginia couple fights to stay married

http://www.wusa9.com/story/news/loc...virginia-couple-fights-stay-married/13395503/

I had this saved. Was going to write a news article about it, at the weekend. Didn't trust myself to post it here but, now you have;

Disgraceful. Leave them alone. Anyone who forces this poor couple to divorce really deserves to find themselves in the news, everyday. In my opinion.

And did you see how the lovely wife said about everyone expects a touch of dementia at our age? What a sweetheart.

Actually, really glad it got posted here on Bob's thread. Right place for it. I am sure the sense of outrage will be shared at (in my opinion) the selfishness of the granddaughter who wants to tear this couple apart for the sake of the estate.

Frank Girardot responded. Maybe more contact would nudge him to assign a reporter -- or dive in himself?

Outraged Bob has been declared dead, daughters are busy divvying up his money and yet still there is no public obituary for him.

And absolutely no efforts to search for him or push police to find him either. It's an outrage. Bob's money should be taken and used to fund searches. Until he's found, or the money runs out. In my opinion.

I was thinking there should probably have been a new missing poster for Bob, on his fifth missing anniversary? I didn't think at the time. Maybe I thought the children who inherited all his money would do it....

I agree!!!!!!

Mmm. Nudge Retweeted by Frank Girardot. Only because I couldn't resist adding a little info about Bob, it now looks as though I tweeted a story about a missing 81 year old newlywed. But anyone clicking it will find the story of the 90 somethings who may be forced to divorce.

Not too well thought out on my part.

JuM has made an expensive Mac Book purchase. I am sure it is a complete coincidence given that her father has been declared dead and his estate is eligible for distribution. If it hasn't been distributed already. Perhaps she and JeM have been carefully setting aside some of the Soc Security payments...

Oh and another pet is ill. All of this loss chills me...

You can design great obituaries on a Macbook. And missing person's posters.

Much better than this one. But it does mention that all-important $50,000 reward. I hope that's in a safeguarded account, because family are legally obliged to pay it, once they've made the offer.

So in other words, we can expect to see a new Mac created missing poster?? Pardon me if I don't hold my breath.

Don't want anyone doing themselves an injury, breath-holding for daughters or son in law to make a new poster.

I hope people get the message - that no-one is asking anyone to keep an eye out on the streets of Placentia now, or in homeless shelters/nursing homes/hospitals.

Police think Robert Merle Harrod has been murdered. So does his wife. If a murderer had just dumped Bob's body in Placentia somewhere, he'd probably have been found by now. Most likely, he was taken to a trash dump - in which case he may never be found - or he was taken out into the wilderness nearest to Placentia.

In which case there is a very, very good chance a hiker or walker may find him one day, as long as they keep their eyes open and report anything they see. Please.

Here is a link to the SINGLE missing person poster that Bob's children; Paula Borcher, Roberta Brady, Julie Michaels and son in law Jeff Michaels (all of whom may add Harrod to the end of their names, or not) have produced for him in FIVE years.

It includes a number to call for a PI who they only asked to report 'general milestones' ( and who may not even be engaged by them now). It includes a disclaimer for the reward, that discourages people...and it is in black and white and looks, frankly, cheap.

And this from the children who have just inherited all Bob's SoCal properties (prices are at an all-time high since the recession); all his stocks and shares; all his pensions and insurance; all his cash. And that's why I'm just linking and not reproducing it here. It's not worth the effort.

Good work on those posters, zwei! Mr Harrod looks really smart in all of his photos, I wouldn't like to have tried pulling the wool over him!
