I suppose the presence of either JM would depend upon whether or not they had reason to avoid being in Placentia.

From believes post above:

"My mother knew all about you. In fact she knew that dad had purchased you a diamond engagement ring with a platinum band." Like a lightening bolt hitting her brain, the young love remembered her final letter to her soldier and the description she had written of the ring she had loved so much. The words used by the daughter mirrored those she had used herself so many years ago....

I wonder....which of the daughters might this be? The one whose spouse was the last to see Bob alive or the one who has spent the last 18 months denigrating her father and spinning the investigtion into directions already ruled out?

Oh the webs one weave.... perhaps this story answers part of the questions regarding the 'master' manipulation we've seen with regards to the treatment of Bob following Georgia's death. If it was something she grew up with it sounds as if this was 'routine' in the family for generations.

Interestingly, I did a little sleuthing on Georgia's brother Paul Magaris. (it is within WS TOS to sleuth/discuss the deceased). Looks like Georgia and her brother Paul, Bobs eldest daughters name sake were possibly raised by a grandfather or perhaps this Aunt in the above story. A google search of Paul Magaris and Navy indicates Georgia and Pauls father was lost at sea at a very young age when both she and her brother were fairly young. Perhaps just by coincidence Bobs first wife grew up with out her father, or lost him at a young age as did the last person to see him alive. Also of interest, in Paul Magaris's obit none of Georgia's family were mentioned.

Was Georgia mentioned, Cubs? Perhaps they were estranged?

I think the relationship between the soldier and his eventual wife is interesting.

Soldier lives with sister's MIL. MIL has a sister who has a daughter. These women, perhaps, conspire to eliminate the obstacle to the marriage between niece/daughter and the soldier.

Isnt it funny how fate or a higher power takes a hand? Bringing them back together. And then, the women in the soldier's world, perhaps, conspire to force them apart again. But this time it is forever...at least for their time here on earth.

It breaks my heart.

I have to go back to the computer thing-we know Bob had one because it was listed on the "memorabilia sheets."

So I wonder if it was taken as well, if it's hard drive was intact, if it had been used by anyone else after Bob was killed.

The reason I mention the wallet is the whole glasses, no glasses, hat, no hat, keys, no keys moving target of a description that went out when he disappeared. I mean, it is fair to carry it forward to his wallet. And or his checkbook. I dont know about Bob, but my Grandfather always carried his in the breast pocket of whatever shirt he was wearing.

So let's say that the checkbook and the wallet were found in the house...just for example. I would think that this would solidify the belief that the man was not coming back. :(

Hmm. My dad carried his checkbook in his shirt pocket as well.
He carried his wallet in his back pants pocket.
He carried his keys in his front pants pocket.
His glasses were in its case in his shirt pocket too,
if he wasn't wearing them.

Wouldn't the hard drive on the computer been forensically examined by LE?
Or a copy of the hard drive made by LE?

That would be interesting news.

Thanks Dream. Believe09 - Georgia was mentioned but no mention of her family - not even as a BIL or nieces....I found it to be interesting given the length of the obit.

jmo of course

I am sure it would be. If it was there.

Forgive me missing a question-I believe that one of you asked about the hearing yesterday. In lieu of the hearing, it is my understanding that Fontelle generously turned over the contents of the house on Carnation drive for the daughters to pick through. The last report I had from a witness was that there were moving vans and the walls were taken out to the studs.

But perhaps that is just an exaggeration.

One has to wonder if the new patio lights which have sat on the back porch to this very day, uninstalled inspite of being used as "evidence" that JM had been asked to install them, were taken along with the rest of the items.

:) Just wonderin.

ETA: oh I forgot, from the last list of memorabilia attached to the motion, Fontelle was to be left with Bob's mattresses and the chair lift.

BBM~~~~~~~

Interesting.......So installing the patio lights was one of the odd jobs SIL claimed to be doing July 27, 2009. I wonder why SIL never installed them. Perhaps he was too busy doing other odd jobs.

SIL could have returned the following day, or any other, to install the patio lights but he did not. Interesting.

You know I am trying to sort out the family dynamics here-Georgia had a brother Paul. Georgia was mentioned in Paul's obit, but none of her children or her husband were mentioned.

I wonder if Uncle Paul was a fixture during the holidays? If there were vacations to see him? We know Georgia was highly regarded by her Aunt and her mother. I wonder if the siblings went their separate ways when they grew to adulthood. It happens.

From Paul's obit:
On Saturday, his ashes will be scattered off the coast of Newport Beach, where he lived for several years, and always loved.

Daughter R posted last year......

"Fontelle is staying in our Parents' home and her son is there with her now but, that also means an unfamiliar rental car in HIS driveway and a total stranger in HIS house too. Dad was extremely possessive of HIS and our Mother's "stuff"."

I guess it doesn't matter anymore.

Human Remains Found in Toolbox in Pinal County

http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/dpp/news/crime/human-remains-found-in-toolbox-1-19-2011#

If the above article had not mentioned the unidentifed remains belong to a middle age man, I'd have to ask if a tool box was missing from SIL's truck bed. Some family will have answers to what happened to their missing family member. I can only hope answers are found to what happened to Bob as well.

....maybe now that Bobs home has been emptied PPD is steps closer to those answers.

Bobs things, not Bob was all that ever mattered to his daughters, SIL and blood kin.

OR-"We were very possessive of Mom and Dad's stuff." Extremely possessive. Except for his chair lift and mattresses apparently.

I saw that...... It caused myself reason to consider with as much disrespect and disregard as Bobs daughters and SIL showed him, I can't imagine they would show any respect after death and bury him with his first wife. I imagine the possibility exists the person(s) responsible for Bobs murder would want to keep a close eye on the disposal/burial spot for his remains and Bobs remains surfacing from the ocean might be too risky. Perhaps Bobs final resting place is somewhere in Running Springs?

Im a little confused...according to that immense memorabilia list there didnt seem to be much of anything that belonged to Bob.:innocent:

That is what is so hilarious about the list-Bob worked and worked, was married for 55 years, accumulated millions of dollars, but owned nothing in his house.

I mean it is beyond ludicrious.

We saw with the transcript for the November hearing that there were no outstanding issues for the court at that time, attorney for the defendants made that clear. The audit was expected to be completed, albeit incredibly late. Fontelle's kind nature caused her to give to these women the "things" they were craving....I hope it satisfies whatever drives them to crave things as opposed to their father. Just my impression given how hard they have fought for the money and the stuff, vs say actually trying to raise awareness regarding their fathers disappearance and murder.

I am assuming it is a murder given the last motion and the fact that the case is with Homicide.

Shall we review who has been ruled out completely? Mrs Harrod, her biological family, Georgia's hairdresser and her family. It was not a crime committed by a stranger says PPD.

  • #439
So, at this time, the Robert Harrod home sits empty?

It has been stripped bare, except for a chair lift and a mattress?
Three moving vans took away a man's lifetime of household possessions?

Fontelle is out of town.
Would she want to come back to a completely empty house?

Maybe this is a good time for LE to do any kind of forensic testing that has not been done before?
Since the house is down to its bare bones, some things can be more easily seen/found.

And that would be a good thing.

What a nice spin on it, Dream. You are right-wonder if PPD is in there right now poking around...
