So, at this time, the Robert Harrod home sits empty?

It has been stripped bare, except for a chair lift and a mattress?
Three moving vans took away a man's lifetime of household possessions?

Fontelle is out of town.
Would she want to come back to a completely empty house?

Maybe this is a good time for LE to do any kind of forensic testing that has not been done before?
Since the house is down to its bare bones, some things can be more easily seen/found.

And that would be a good thing.

Agree!!!!!!

OR-"We were very possessive of Mom and Dad's stuff." Extremely possessive. Except for his chair lift and mattresses apparently.

Maybe they didn't want the mattress because of bad juju from SIL's visit.

The hard drive, the wallet and the checkbook keep going around and around in my head.

The checkbook would be easy enough to verify-either checks were used or not used. Think the girls cancelled the checks?

You have to figure that Bob was receiving Social Security for many years-that must be accumulating somewhere...until he is declared deceased or found. And then I would think Fontelle could collect his?

TBH-I am not sure I would want my dad's mattresses either. But would I leave them for his wife to dispose of? Well that just seems tacky and cold. It is disrespectful and disdainful, given how kind she was to them.

From Believe on pg 17 "I suppose the presence of either JM would depend upon whether or not they had reason to avoid being in Placentia."

I've been following this case from the beginning and have read all the WS posts from the start. From "ground zero" here in Placentia, I have a siting of JM told to me by my adult children, who live in the neighborhood. On Sat, Jan 8, 2011, they observed JM (SIL) and ARH (GS) together arriving in ARH's truck and visiting outside on ARH's lawn. They obviously were at ease with each other as they were seen laughing and talking before JM's departure.

So far we have not seen any signs - flyers - posters in any stores - lawns - local newspapers.. or anywhere.. regarding the reward for information on Bob.
:furious::furious::furious:

Does anyone know how the Orange County Trackers are doing on this case?

Thank you for the information.

Hopefully the OC TrackRS Unit will bring a resolution to this case as they did with Lynsie Ekelunds.

Daughter R referred to Fontelle as a "tenant." I suppose we could say the same for daughter PB and GS AH.

Re-reading some of the daughter's posts.

Daughter R: August 8, 2009

"Our family wanted to be charitible by allowing Fontelle to temporarily stay in our parents' home, until we know more. The home has to be maintained as a part of OUR parents' family trust. All our Dad's attorney confirmed is that Dad had NOT amended his half of the trust to include his new wife of less than a month."

BBM~~~~~

I would like to think they had just arrived back from plastering the neighborhood with reward flyers, however none have been seen so I guess they were up to something else. Perhaps a trip to Home Depot.

Teamer, welcome and thank you for a thoughtful post. I think it is abundently clear that this family has moved on from the disappearance and (presumed) murder of their patriarch. I think it is also abundently clear that they have no real interest in utilizing their resources to find out what happened-it may be that they substantially know what happened.

Can you imagine of OC TraKRS set their sights on this case? Their resources are virtually bottomless-I respect PPD so much, but they are hamstrung I am sure when it comes to the dollars it takes to unravel something like this.

I'm usually not the biggest fan of Nancy Grace, but she is trying to find 50 people in 50 days. Im going to try to find out how to bring Bob's case to their attention...hopefully its not too late.

I would have loved to see Bobs case as one of the 50, however The MSM info for NG's new show indicates she's already filmed/recorded all fifty shows and unfortunately once the fifty are over an entirely different show will be airing.

Here is a link to the thread about the 50 shows NG will be airing:

TV personality Nancy Grace to focus on missing persons - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

Thanks Cubby. Oh well, thats the story of my life...a day late and a dollar short!!

Just a little over a week after her father disappeared daughter R posted:

"We all had such high hopes that our Dad and Fontelle could live happily ever after in whatever lifestyle they wanted. Life is just too dang short for him to have scrimpted and saved all these years to not have a chance to enjoy life a little with Fontelle in their golden years."

Money again and again. Why did R feel the need to post this shortly after her father vanished?

Do you recall what date this is posted? I'm wondering how she knew so early on Bob would not be returning to enjoy those golden years. And I agree, if they had spent 1/10th of the amount of time and energy spent posting and fighting about money into the search for their missing father perhaps Bob would have been found by now.

Which leads me again to wonder. Did anyone in Bobs family with maternal ties offer up a sample for mitochondrial dna comparison in the event nuclear dna is unusable. That would have to come from Bobs sister or any of her children if she has any I think.......

Still no new news on the UID's submitted for Bob either. If there was a chance Bobs remains have been found and are sitting in some coroners office I certainly would want to know. Who knows, maybe Bobs bio family would rather wait the time out to declare him dead and it's too risky for his remains to be found.

JMO of course

It was always about the money...money and his cheapness.

WOW! So 9 days into Bobs disappearance daughter R has already posted how he won't have the chance to enjoy his golden years with Fontelle.

I wonder what led her to conclude so early on Bob wouldn't be returning.

hmmmmm

Sounds like a combination of scrimped and scripted. :innocent:

perhaps that was a freudian slip... perhaps she had scripted in her mind while typing....
