Want to leave breadcrumbs because details get lost as time goes by. Already posted about this, where Obad did once ask Monica if she was having an affair. Obad also sort of warned Fabio about "those racquetball friends". Now, they're going into the week and day of Fabio's murder.​

Gessica was babysitting and got there at 3:50 p.m., so Ms. Obad could go buy Valentines cards for her child. Monica did not contact Deborah Obad to ask how long Gessica would be there, or for any other reason did she call or text Ms. Obad. I think this goes to the defense as Monica not setting things up having to do with Gessica.​

Micro facial expressions-- are they put on fake? Or is this the look of a woman getting a harsh glimpse at what her lust, greed, selfishness created. Is she feeling the impact her evilness had, resulting in taking away a good man's life, and destroying all the good life memories for her children. Is Monica capable of really feeling remorse?​

Jurors forced to stay focused. I'm trying to pay attention, but sometimes it gets downright silly. Then, lost my internet connection for awhile. I don't know why they gave the forensic person such a hard time. The shoe-- there was question of if there was a possible racquetball injury. The rackets, examined but no blood on them. ​

Just so you know, I tend to take a lot of screenshots watching a trial because it helps visual me stay focused.

Remember Obad was initially going to be a Prosecution witness, but turned into a Defense witness. Please know this is somewhat in my own wording.

How I understand this questioning, and please correct me if I get it wrong-- The day she spoke with Prosecution Silverman and went in front of the Grand Jury she said Monica had kind of wanted her to call Wella and ask about the life insurance. (Later it seems to change to health insurance and concern for the kids & starting "university". Monica kept saying university because of all the children. So, explains it was more about health insurance.) Then, this week in her testimony, Ms. Obad said Monica didn't ever ask her about to make a call about life insurance.

Some of her names for people that showed up at the house after that Obad didn't care for are funny. Had a lot to say about some Persian lady, and referred to some as gym people or gym rats.

Going back, Monica lied to her back in June / July 2016 saying she wasn't having an affair. Feb. 14, 2017 interview with the detective, Obad mentions that the douchebag Rob might've done it. Obad says she knew that Rob had spent the night once, and she suspected Monica was having an affair with him, but she didn't know for sure or have anyway to prove it, and so... she didn't tell Fabio again of her gut feelings.​

Deborah Obad was going by Monica's house, and noticed a painter's truck. At the time, she didn't know that was Robert Baker's vehicle behind it. This is all I gathered about this photo so far.

One telling thing, IMO, is that Obad being such a close friend of Monica's once, hasn't been able to go see her in all the years since Fabio's death. Said it just reminds her too much of Fabio and I guess makes her sad, but...

MOO, it might just be that she knows darn well Monica must've had something to do with the planning of killing her husband, Fabio, a great person in Obad's eyes. She can't prove it, or doesn't want to believe it. I'm sure Obad wishes she could've stopped it from happening. MOO, maybe her not talking to or not seeing Monica is because she sees her now and can't help but suspiciously eye Monica as a sneaky cold blooded snake. ​

I’m going with “sneaky cold blooded snake”! It’s hard to talk to anyone who isn’t being honest.

What was the reason for some of Obads answers being different now?

Not sure if it was you or anyone else on the thread that suggested watching on L&C, but I’m so glad that ‘Law & Crime’ is a welcome change from Court Tv. No commercials and no panel is a dream in comparison

Defense rested their case. Trial continues on Thursday, 4/3/25 with closing arguments.
*Christopher Austin (38/now 39) – Plead guilty on 1/17/25. Sentencing hearing on 4/30/25.

Sounds possible & very likely, @Niner. Aren't more verdicts reached on a Friday? I do think there might be one or two doubters that she's guilty of the orchestrating the planning, but by Friday afternoon a verdict could be possible. ​

Silverman said the judge will probably give the instructions tomorrow, so I guess they will take all day long to do closings.

Hmmm...so how was he tracking where Fabio was via the GPS if he only had it on the burner phone and not his usual phone? I know he said he also had it on the laptop but he didn't carry that around like he did his phone.

Closing is going to be intense, he gave her so much ammo.
