Why do you think they were federal agents? In the footage I've seen, every one with a jacket says LAPD. In footage of FBI raids, there are FBI jackets.

My recollection was reading an article that stated they were federal agents. If I am mistaken, that would make a difference.

ETA...I just double-checked, and yes, it was FBI, along with LAPD homicide investigators, who executed the search.

So at some point, LE will get access to that apartment building and all CCTV. I hope it is soon rather than later

What are some scenarios that do not involve her work connections?

- Heidi went to see a boyfriend with whom there may have been issues, or meet a new date at the apt building, taking her dog with her. Something went VERY wrong and the person disappeared her and let the dog out in the hall.
- Heidi was purposely catfished by a creep, lured through some promise of something, whether related to a business, a private session of something that could be anything...personal trainer, therapist, a consultant in something or whatever.
- Heidi went there to buy something, through Craig's list, <modsnip>, or to sell something...her RR, jewelry...whatever.
- Heidi went to check out an apartment maybe for an associate or friend who could not visit it personally...and whoever showed it took a "liking" to her, with terrible results.

Actually there could be many reasons. Just thinking off the top of my head.
Whatever happened, I hope LE will solve it, and whoever may have been responsible, if a crime took place, be apprehended ...I hope the individual made mistakes.

As for security footage, I have no clue how that fits in. Why it is being withheld, or possibly erased.

I do not believe the FBI would have jumped into a missing persons case that, at least as far as we know, does not seem to involve Heidi crossing state lines, and although they could be called in if it seems a federal crime is involved, the fact that they took out files would seem to indicate that they were focusing on the business when they entered, imho, and I believe LAPD went along for the very reason you stated, it is their jurisdiction. JMO
Actually, after doing a little research it appears FBI frequently jump into missing persons cases, especially where there is a high probability of homicide. I think it's because they have expertise in obtaining data from cellphones, and similar matters.

I was thinking, she doesn't look like she was dressed for anything more important than a baseball game. Skinny jeans, flat sandals, sweater around her waist and a big happy face on her tshirt.

Missing mom, 39, was 'edgy' as she left son's game early, says family

If she went to visit someone, IMO it would likely be someone she knew as a personal friend.

I also notice the Hope + Flower building is just a few minutes off the route between her home and the baseball diamond in Downey. Just seems interesting, it wasn't a separate location that she would set off for, far off her route home.

ITA. The feds that entered her house were not looking for clues to a missing person, imo. However, IF someone was tipped off that there was going to be a raid, that may have precipitated her disappearance, either by her own volition, or not. JMO

I agree. I just really feel that if she left on her own, she wouldn't leave her son behind like this.

No one is saying her business partners had her killed. It's just sharing information that we know about Heidi to get a better understanding of her and the people in her life.

Mystery surrounds disappearance of Los Angeles mother after leaving son’s football game last month

Dateline seems a bit more fact-checked than some of the other sources. It indicates that police accompanied her ex in an initial wellness check, and they found both a cellphone and laptop in her home (not missing as supposed). The message about the dog was on the phone (which the ex was able to unlock?) Presumably she had another phone.

I agree HP's private life is a bit of a mystery. She had her son with her 1/2 time, what did she do when he wasn't with her?

Agree. Occam's Razor.
Normally, I would agree but not this time.

The ex-husband has an alibi. Her ex-husband, who has remarried, was with his family at his son's football game. Heidi left at halftime. So he was there at least another hour or so. Her dog was found 3 hours after she left Downey where the football game was held. That's a tight window.

And it's unusual for the FBI (not just local LE) plus the Elite Robbery and Homicide unit of the LAPD to show up at the home of a missing person - all of whom entered with guns drawn.

LE knew she wasn't there. Her ex-husband and a friend, who let him in, had already been in the home during the two weeks she was missing before LE finally showed up. That has been reported in news reports linked several times in this thread.

My gut tells me something happened in the apartment building. The most logical explanation for her dog being on the 28th floor is that she and the dog were on the 28th floor for some reason. She wouldn't willingly leave without the dog.

I also have to presume that LE has been searching for her vehicle. It's one of the first things LE does in an investigation. So, either they found it and are keeping that information to themselves or they are pretty sure where it is and are being silent about that, too.

Per the article, “The home was in pristine condition,” he said. “But her phone and laptops were left behind."

Early on, there were reports that she took her laptop to the football game. The fact that it was left in her home suggests she went home after the football game and then left again with the dog to go to the apartment building presumably, IMO.

I really hope LE has scoured that property.

I'm noticing articles being updated a little as more questions come out. I just seen that police accompanied the ex in an article I already read. Which I think just solidifies more of the possibility the raid was not connected to her missing.

I thought perhaps the info about the laptop might have been confused in the early reports. I can see her not bringing it to a baseball game.

But I can't imagine someone leaving their phone behind. What if you have even a minor car accident?

I'm hoping she had another phone with her. IMO, not taking her phone would indicate plans to disappear, but not in the thriller novel way, more in the putting an end to it all way.

I agree with you. I think it's most likely that Heidi was in the apartment building. I'm not sure she left the building of her own accord. IMO

If she went back home after the game, wouldn’t that be on camera like when she left for the game?

California mom, 39, vanishes and her dog is found wandering alone on the 28th floor of a high rise | Daily Mail Online

Friends and family said that Planck was not known to have any connection to the building.

On Friday, federal agents and robbery homicide detectives from the LAPD entered her home with their guns drawn. Sources told CBS that officers believed they could be walking into a crime scene.

Photographers for LAPD were present at the house, as well as nearly a dozen other agents, who CBS reported went through every room, the garbage and planters around the home.

Planck’s LinkedIn says she works as a controller at Camden Capital – a role which sees her overseeing all employees involved in the accounting process, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, inventory and compliance.

JS, a managing partner at Camden Capital, was charged in June 2019 by the Securities and Exchange Commission for his role in a scheme to steal $43 million of client funds they purported to invest in Native American tribal bonds.
Is there any way to know if she has been deposed in this or any related cases?
